1776 cc engine, 110 cam with molded on cam gear, racing rockers, high-rev springs, balanced rods, heavy duty oil pump, lightened flywheel, 8 dowel pin flywheel, new clutch pack, S&S header and dual mufflers, dual 40mm Weber carbs, bugpack quick shift. Skid plates very good shape, small corrosion on rear panels near jack receptacle. Shocks replaced, wheel bearings replaced, good tires, brake shoes and pads replaced, electric windshield motor installed, gas heater-original german-works fine, seats black - good shape, doll bar installed, seat and shoulder belts installed, electric fuel pump installed at tank, non standard fancy wheels, original wheels available. In primer paint - originally yellow and I just have not finished it. Engine lid was dented-small dent. This is a very strong thing with the engine at 1776 cc. The power is very surprising. |

Volkswagen drops "GTi" lawsuit against Suzuki
Tue, 02 Oct 2012Way back in 2004, Volkswagen took umbrage with Suzuki being granted permission to use the nameplate "SWIFT GTi" for a performance variant of its small-car offering (2012 equivalent seen here). Now, eight years and surely some very steep legal bills later, VW has finally dropped its claim against Suzuki.
The General Court of the European Union stated, back in March of this year, that Suzuki's GTi registration could not be confused with VW's "Golf GTI." Volkswagen had appealed that ruling, though has now reportedly called off the dogs. In fact, Germany's Die Welt reports that the appeal has been dead for several weeks now.
This news comes amongst continued arbitration acrimony between the two automakers, all revolving around VW's forced divestiture of nearly 20-percent stake it purchased in Suzuki some two years ago.
Volkswagen Golf Wagon leaked ahead of official unveiling
Sat, 02 Mar 2013Wagons ho! These three images of the upcoming Volkswagen Golf Wagon have leaked online ahead of the car's official debut, which may very well be at the Geneva Motor Show. Looking over the photos doesn't really bring any surprises - after all, this is a VW Golf with a wagon rear end grafted on, or basically what we expect next Jetta SportWagen will be.
