For sale is a one owner 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Turbo Diesel with manual transmission. It runs and drives 100%, has a clean Carfax and Autocheck and is being sold with no reserve.

The 1.9L four cylinder turbo charged diesel engine purrs along without a miss, smoke or fluid loss. No "check engine" or any warning lights. The 5 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly with plenty of clutch. The steering, brakes and suspension seem normal with no issues. No exhaust leaks.

The exterior is a glossy silver. There are no major dents or dings. There is a small scrape on the left rear fender above the tire (see pic) and front spoiler. The tires, on factory alloy wheels, have about 30% tread. Some wheels have curb rash (see pic). No body rust. The lights and lenses are bright with no cracks. There are no windshield cracks but there is a chip on the driver side.

The interior is gray carpet and Volkswagen leatherette. Both are in very good condition. No stains, holes or rips. The front seats are heated. All the power options such as sunroof, windows, cruise control, side mirrors, etc. work as designed. There is a factory sound system with CD. The heat is hot and the AC is cold.

This is a great running Jetta TDI. These vehicles, especially with a manual transmission, have been know to almost run forever. There are absolutely no current mechanical problems and no indication of any impending issues. The new owner will be able to drive home, with confidence, no matter where they live.

If there's any one new vehicle the entire world is anxiously waiting for, it's the Jeep Wrangler. Yes, of course the iconic off-roader has a loyal following here in America, but you could plop a Wrangler pretty much anywhere on the globe and everybody will know what it is. Put simply, the redesigned 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL has big, muddy shoes to fill, and the readers of Autoblog are just as interested in the Wrangler's rebirth as anyone else. Moving along, we were fortunate enough last week to spend a bit of time in nearly every version of the venerable Volkswagen Golf all in one day. There isn't a Golf we don't like, but there's one, easily identifiable by its three-digit name, that stands above all the rest: GTI. We think it's the best Golf you can buy, even if there's an R-badged variant that slots above the GTI in VW hierarchy. Rounding out our recap are three vehicles that could hardly be more different. The 2019 GMC Sierra, which was seen wearing pretty light camouflage, is a truck. The Lamborghini Terzo Millennio – which isn't going to go on sale, ever, at any price Â– is a conceptual supercar. And the Honda CB1000R is a retro-themed naked standard motorcycle. VW readying two-row CUV concept for Detroit

We're likely getting yet another glimpse of Volkswagen's future crossover at the upcoming 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, in January. According to Automotive News, two anonymous sources within the automaker indicate a CUV concept will be shown there. The concept is said to be a five-passenger preview of the brand's future seven-seat model. Previous versions of the crossover have carried the name CrossBlue (pictured above), but there was no indication whether or not that would continue. The original three-row concept debuted at the 2013 auto show in Detroit, and VW followed it up with the CrossBlue Coupe Concept in Shanghai later that year. In early 2014, the company announced the CUV would go into production sometime in 2016, along with plans to invest $7 billion in North America over the next five years. During the summer, the automaker made things even more official when it declared plans to invest $900 million to build a 538,000-square-foot expansion into its Chattanooga, TN, factory to assemble the new model. Production of the crossover was slated to begin by the end of 2016, at the time. According to Automotive News, even more changes in VW's CUV lineup are on the way. The Tiguan is reportedly getting an update next year that could be joined by coupe and long-wheelbase variants, as well.
