You are looking at a 2002 Jetta wagon, in very nice overall condition.   It is very quiet, reliable, and comfortable to drive, not to mention spatious!! We have a clean title in hand for it!

The car overall cosmetically, I would say is a 7.5 out of 10. There are some marks, and scuffs on the car which can be expected for it's age and mileage.  The vehicle was purchased by us with intentions of making it our new commuter car (We travel 100 miles a day)  but just two days after we bought it, we came across a deal for a Jetta TDI wagon which we simply could not pass up.  This would make a perfect first car, commuter, or vehicle for a handyman/carpenter etc that has to haul tools and things that need to be locked up safely at all times.

This wagon has 160,600 miles on it (75% Highway miles), and a clean title, and just passed NYS inspection on Monday morning, so for NY buyers, the inspection is good until the last day of September 2015.  It has a brand new Catalytic Converter.  We also relpaced an o2 sensor, secondary air pump, and Coil pack, as per codes that caused the check engine light to come on.  There are now no pending codes, NO Check engine light, or issues other than the air bag light being on, which is very common.  The only things the car needs to be 100%, are two front struts (Which a good set is included with the vehicle) rear brake pads and rotors, Which can be had on eBay for around $60 (Front brakes are only three months old) and our mechanic said that the driver side front wheel bearing will need to be replaced eventually, so we purchased a steering knuckle from him with a good wheel bearing, which will also be included with the car for the new owner.

The body overall is in very nice shape, and all the windows, sunroof, and cruise control work as they should.  The front and rear bumpers, and passenger rear fender are the only cosmetic issues, which we will be adding more detailed pictures of this evening.  The interior is a bit worn, but has been thoroughly cleaned and the carpets shampooed.   This listing is all to the best of our knowledge, as we only drove the car around 150 miles since we have had it.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have!!  We can arrange delivery within 50 miles of 12477, NY for $75.  We can also deliver anywhere past that radius for the $75 fee, and $0.45 a mile.

Thanks for looking, good luck, and happy bidding!!

Volkswagen Golf Variant Concept R-Line puts the sport in SportWagen

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

With the introduction of the newest Volkswagen Golf Variant, we get an early look at what will most likely be the next-generation Jetta SportWagen here in the US. To further wet our appetities, VW is now teasing something a little sportier with the Concept R-Line. Looking the part of a GTI wagon (or a stretched Golf R), the Golf Variant Concept R-Line has a production-ready appearance that has us hoping we'll see this sporty wagon sooner rather than later.
The R-Line starts off with a new fascia that isn't quite as aggressive as the recently introduced GTI, but it gives the new styling some extra punch. Below the fascia is a lower splitter that visually carries back into the rocker panel extensions, and the rear of the car gets some bright exhaust tips and a rear diffuser. The Lapis Blue Metallic paint job probably does enough on its own to add a sporty flair to the Golf wagon, and it's all finished off with 18-inch split-spoke wheels. Inside, the Concept R-Line shows off sport seats wrapped in carbon leather featuring blue nappa inserts in the middle.
Rightfully so, VW brought the Concept R-Line to Geneva with its TDI and 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. A sporty, all-wheel-drive diesel wagon? Yes, please. Scroll down for the full press blast with all the details.

VW readying CC Shooting Brake?

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

This was bound to happen. Volkswagen's relentless drive for big volume has the brand mining seemingly every niche it can find for additional sales worldwide. And with its CLS Shooting Brake, fellow countryman Mercedes-Benz has already shown that a wagon based off of a "four-door coupe" can look dead sexy and command extra dollars. So it follows that the Volkswagen CC (whose existence is all but directly attributable to the success of the original CLS sedan) will also get a load-lugging variant. That's according to the UK's Autocar, which notes that the five-door will come in the CC's next generation.
According to the report, the next CC will be available in front and all-wheel drive variants with the usual assortment of gas and diesel four-cylinders found in the Wolfsburg empire, with the possibility of a gas plug-in hybrid model, too. The rakish estate will ride atop VW's MQB architecture, a shorter variant of which is also found underneath the new Golf. The scalable chassis is set to spread like kudzu throughout the company's lineup, but the CC probably won't happen until after the launch of the next European-market Passat in 2015.
Will we get it in North America? Hard to say. Volkswagen sells the standard CC saloon here, but not in particularly large numbers, and when the company moved to a North American-specific Passat, it dumped the wagon variant. The traditional VW estate apparently continues to pick up sales momentum abroad, however, making the CC Shooting Brake a seemingly natural fit for buyers who still want the utility of a two-box form but can afford to sacrifice a bit of cargo room in the name of style.

Volkswagen Golf Wagon leaked ahead of official unveiling

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Wagons ho! These three images of the upcoming Volkswagen Golf Wagon have leaked online ahead of the car's official debut, which may very well be at the Geneva Motor Show. Looking over the photos doesn't really bring any surprises - after all, this is a VW Golf with a wagon rear end grafted on, or basically what we expect next Jetta SportWagen will be.
We can only share these three images at this time, but fret not, folks. There's little doubt that all the details and images will be flowing from Volkswagen in short order. In the meantime, click on the images above to view them in high resolution.
