2002 Jetta Volkswagon GLS 1.8T. The Jetta is silver exterior with tinted window. Good body with some marks and scartches on it, I took pictures and showed the marks and scratches. It has a dent on top of the trunk area that I took a picture of and some rust on the front hood that I took some pictures of but the body is in good shape. The engine was rebuit at 130,000 miles with a new head, berrings, rings and new turbo. The tires are Falken Tires and are new. The rims are Wolf Wheels and you can see them in the pictures. The interior is Black leather and is in great condition except for the driver seat which was cracked when I bought it but is still in great condition. The arm rest is on there but comes off and is fine left on there or can be replaced if you want to. In the pictures it may look like something is on the back middle seat leather. That is just marks from where my sons car seat was, it sits in the middle and from his weight it made marks but will go away when care seat is taken out so the leather is not torn. The front tag DOES NOT go with the car, it will be taken off and I will keep the front tag. The car is driveable but needs a valve body in the transmission. Mileage-173,807. The car has electric windows, locks. Has radio, sunroof and the driver seat is heated. I have a clear title on the car. I love this car and would keep and fix it but we bought another car and have no need for this now but I have loved and still love this car. I hope I got everything listed on here but if you have any more questions please feel free to email me. Thanks.

On May-31-13 at 07:08:07 PDT, seller added the following information:

I just wanted to explain drivealbe.  I am driving it, it shifts perfect sometimes and then it won't shift out of first and you have to rev the engine up to get it to shift so it will need a valve body in the transmission replaced so wanted to make that clear so you know what driveable means. When it shifts it shifts perfect but when it doesn't shift you have to rev the engine up to get it to shift so that will need to be replaced-valve body in the transmission. You can replace that or get a transmission for it which we found one on ebay for it it will be up to you.

Jaguar Land Rover seeks to block U.S. imports of Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini, VW SUVs

Fri, Nov 20 2020

You wouldn’t know it was about Jags and Lambos, to judge by its rather dry name: In the Matter of Certain Vehicle Control Systems. But thatÂ’s the complaint Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Plc filed on Thursday to block U.S. imports of Porsche, Lamborghini, Audi and Volkswagen sport utility vehicles it says are using its patented Terrain Response technology without permission. Jaguar Land Rover, a British carmaker owned by IndiaÂ’s Tata Motors Ltd., said in its filing with the U.S. International Trade Commission that the technology helps negotiate a “broad range of surfaces” and is a key feature in JaguarÂ’s F-Pace and Land Rover Discovery vehicles. “JLR seeks to protect itself and its United States operations from companies that have injected infringing products into the U.S. market that incorporate, without any license from JLR, technology developed by JLR and protected by its patent,” JaguarÂ’s lawyer, Matthew Moore, said in the filing. Representatives of Volkswagen didnÂ’t immediately respond to emails seeking comment on the complaint. Jaguar wants to block imports of PorscheÂ’s Cayenne; LamborghiniÂ’s Urus; AudiÂ’s Q8, Q7, Q5, A6 Allroad and e-tron vehicles; and VWÂ’s Tiguan vehicles. It said there are plenty of other luxury midsize SUV and compact crossover vehicles to meet consumer demand if the SUVs are banned from the U.S. Still, the premium Porsche and Audi lines provide much of the profit VW is using to fund its investments in technology for electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles and further innovations. In addition to the four brands, Volkswagen Group owns other upscale nameplates, including Bentley and Bugatti. The International Trade Commission is an independent, quasi-judicial agency that investigates complaints of unfair trade practices, like patent infringement. It canÂ’t award damages but does have the power to block products from entering the U.S. Owners of patents and trade secrets like it because it can work faster than the federal district courts -- the typical investigation is completed in 15 to 18 months. But Jaguar also filed patent lawsuits against the companies in federal courts in Delaware and New Jersey, seeking cash compensation for the use of the technology. Those cases are likely to be put on hold once the trade commission launches its investigation. The case is In the Matter of Certain Vehicle Control Systems, 337-3508, U.S. International Trade Commission (Washington).

VW teases GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo concept

Sun, Apr 12 2015

Volkswagen was among the first to demonstrate its Vision for Gran Turismo with the GTI Roadster concept, last year. And now it's gearing up to release another one. Previewed in the video clip above and the images in the gallery below, the new GTI Supersport is once again conceptually based on the German automaker's iconic hot hatch. But instead of a roofless design rendered in red, this one has a fixed roof with pseudo NACA ducts and white bodywork, along with twin nostril air extractors in the hood, a giant carbon-fiber rear wing and diffuser, and large side vents. In short, it looks like it'll be awesome, and we'll likely see the full thing before too long – so watch this space.

VW Scirocco is the car nerd's classic car

Wed, Apr 22 2015

Petrolicious undoubtedly makes some fantastic videos, but it often focuses on expensive, rare vehicles that many people might not be able to afford for their garage. This week the spotlight shifts to a modern coupe that's fairly accessible: the Volkswagen Scirocco. Owner Jason Cammisa is a senior editor at Road & Track, and his job puts him behind the wheel of some of the world's fastest supercars. Despite that, he has kept driving this 16-valve Scirocco that he has owned since college. The Scirocco is an easy car to love, though. Its simple, angular lines still look beautiful on the road today. While the four-cylinder engine doesn't make huge power, the coupe is nimble and ideal for a drive over twisty roads. Cammisa also makes an interesting point about owning affordable classics like this. Without a wealthy owner base like those that support vintage Corvettes or Porsches, there's little desire in the aftermarket to produce spare parts for his Scirocco. He worries about keeping the VW on the road decades into the future. For now, enjoy this '80s coupe thanks to this great clip from Petrolicious.
