For sale is my used 2001 Volkswagon Jetta Wolfsburg Edition. It has a 1.8 liter 4 cylinder turbocharged engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. The vehicle currently has 139,200 miles. I have owned the vehicle for almost two years. I bought it when it had 120,000 miles on it. I'm only selling it because I was given an Acura TL, and no longer have use for this vehicle. Since I have owned it, I’ve done the following; When purchased at 120k - spark plugs, new center armrest, replaced radio with aftermarket unit pictured (has USB and AUX hook-up on faceplate), new hazard switch (turn signals didn’t work), new driver’s door master window switch, new ashtray/ashtray door/power outlet, and serpentine belt. At 128K - New thermostat, coolant temperature sender with housing (those housing’s are prone to cracking) and front brake pads/rotors. At 139,170 - Four brand new front tires and brand new rear brake pads/rotors. These have less then 100 miles on them! An alignment was done with the new tires. Oil and filter was changed at this time as well. Oil and filter has been changed every 3,000 miles with mobile one full synthetic oil. I know this is overkill, but due to the higher mileage, I still do it every 3,000 miles. *I have no previous maintenance records for this vehicle. I do not know if the clutch or timing belt has ever been replaced. The vehicle runs and drives great. Engine runs smooth and has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smooth and clutch feels good. The body on the vehicle is straight. No dents or major dings. This vehicle does have scratches. The paint still shines nicely on most of the vehicle but is fading in spots (esp. the roof). The front lower spoiler is cracked, but still secured to bumper. The front grille is loose, but doesn’t move when hood is closed. The aftermarket wheels are all straight, but have curb rash on some of them. Interior is in decent shape. The interior trim that covers the door panels on the front doors is starting to separate (pictured). All interior lights work. All electronics work. Glovebox door handle is broken. There is velcro holding the door shut, so it is easy to open and close. Center console armrest is new and works perfectly. The vehicle is lowered. It was that way when I purchased it, so I am not sure how much it was lowered or what kind of springs they are. The ride is still pretty smooth. This has been my daily driver since I've owned it. Vehicle is PA State Inspected until 6/14. Please message me with any questions. This vehicle needs nothing. I'm available on evenings during the week or next Saturday (1/11) all day if you want to come see the vehicle before bidding. Buyer is responsible to arrange pick-up or shipping, although I will assist any way I can. The vehicle is located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania (about 45 minutes north of Philadelphia). THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION! HIGH BIDDER WINS!! |

Wagons make a bit of a comeback, with new models, sales on the rise
Thu, Jan 10 2019Consider this an official invitation to hop on the wagon bandwagon. There's still tons of room because, well, it's a wagon (and market share is still extremely small). But according to new data, the segment is growing. According to a report from Bloomberg, using data from Edmunds.com, roughly 211,600 Americans purchased wagons in 2018. That is technically down from the 237,600 sold in 2017, but wagon sales in the U.S. are up 29 percent from where they were five years ago. It's also the third year in a row that wagon sales broke the 200,000 mark. The sales trends have been somewhat representative of the availability of wagons. New models have debuted during the past 5 years and therefore offer more opportunity at more brands to buy wagons. In addition to more modest cars such as the Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen, several luxury and performance brands are offering wagons today, such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar, Volvo and Buick. (Bloomberg's headlines make the point that "crossovers are for the Kardashians," and wagons are just, well, classier.) This uptick in brand-name availability, as well as extremely well-executed design on most of the wagons currently available, has helped increase the segment's desirability. That, and its ability to better accomplish the same tasks at hand while standing out from the crossover and SUV crowd. Still, the posted numbers represent a small fraction of the total vehicles sold. According to the data, wagons only held a 1.4 percent market share in 2017, the segment's best recent year. Wagons hold a steadfast place in America's past, and they're writing an interesting new story. With the downturn in traditional cars, they may continue to create an unexpected narrative. VW readying CC Shooting Brake?
Mon, 11 Feb 2013This was bound to happen. Volkswagen's relentless drive for big volume has the brand mining seemingly every niche it can find for additional sales worldwide. And with its CLS Shooting Brake, fellow countryman Mercedes-Benz has already shown that a wagon based off of a "four-door coupe" can look dead sexy and command extra dollars. So it follows that the Volkswagen CC (whose existence is all but directly attributable to the success of the original CLS sedan) will also get a load-lugging variant. That's according to the UK's Autocar, which notes that the five-door will come in the CC's next generation.
According to the report, the next CC will be available in front and all-wheel drive variants with the usual assortment of gas and diesel four-cylinders found in the Wolfsburg empire, with the possibility of a gas plug-in hybrid model, too. The rakish estate will ride atop VW's MQB architecture, a shorter variant of which is also found underneath the new Golf. The scalable chassis is set to spread like kudzu throughout the company's lineup, but the CC probably won't happen until after the launch of the next European-market Passat in 2015.
Will we get it in North America? Hard to say. Volkswagen sells the standard CC saloon here, but not in particularly large numbers, and when the company moved to a North American-specific Passat, it dumped the wagon variant. The traditional VW estate apparently continues to pick up sales momentum abroad, however, making the CC Shooting Brake a seemingly natural fit for buyers who still want the utility of a two-box form but can afford to sacrifice a bit of cargo room in the name of style.
VW Golf R pre-order sells out in less than 11 hours
Fri, Jan 9 2015Volkswagen fans had to be pretty quick if they wanted to ensure their pre-order for one of the first 500 units of the 2015 Golf R to enter the US. The German brand opened the books online at at 12:01 AM EST, and according to company spokesperson Leigh Anne Sessions speaking to Autoblog, by around 10:30 AM EST all of them were snapped up. VW's pre-order page currently shows these vehicles as no longer available, and the company confirms the news on Twitter, as well. There's still a chance to get an early Golf R by signing up for the waiting list and hoping one of the 500 orders falls through. VW Customer Care will contact people if there's an opening. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. This entire allotment of the Golf R comes in Lapiz Blue Metallic paint with VW's adaptive damper system, navigation, a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox and more. To further sweeten the pot, the company is also giving these folks a watch, key chain and certificate with their vehicle's VIN. The 500 models were priced at $39,090, plus $820 destination and delivery, but only $500 was required to reserve one online. The amount was refundable if a person backed out.
