2002 Volkswagen Golf Gls--needs Work, But Well Worth It---clean Inside And Out-- on 2040-cars
Burlington, New Jersey, United States

Listed for sale, is this nice looking, 2002 VW
Golf.  It’s a 1-owner vehicle with only
100K miles.   The interior is in good condition.  There is a small rip on the driver’s seat,
but other than that, the interior has your normal wear and tear.  The exterior
is also in good condition with minor scuffs/dings, but the paint still looks good when cleaned.   Here is the issue:  The car will not start.  We initially thought it was the key that
needed to be reprogrammed, but that wasn’t it.
We also tried a few other things, but we were unsuccessful.  It’s probably something simple, but
Volkwagens can be tricky, and unfortunately, we couldn’t figure this one
out.  However, I can assure you there no
issues with engine, transmission, or clutch. This vehicle retails for close to $5000; so it’s
worth repairing.  The vehicle is also for
sale locally, which means this ad could end at anytime.  Thanks! |

Volkswagen Golf Wagon leaked ahead of official unveiling
Sat, 02 Mar 2013Wagons ho! These three images of the upcoming Volkswagen Golf Wagon have leaked online ahead of the car's official debut, which may very well be at the Geneva Motor Show. Looking over the photos doesn't really bring any surprises - after all, this is a VW Golf with a wagon rear end grafted on, or basically what we expect next Jetta SportWagen will be.
We can only share these three images at this time, but fret not, folks. There's little doubt that all the details and images will be flowing from Volkswagen in short order. In the meantime, click on the images above to view them in high resolution.
VW Up Buggy may be headed to showrooms
Tue, 02 Jul 2013Volkswagen showed six conceptual takes on its Up at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, one of those being the Up Buggy. Although few will probably remember it, VW has not forgotten it, applying for a patent for the Meyers Manx revival roadster way back in March 2012 and being approved in June of this year, according to a report in Autocar. That will give the automaker a 14-year lock on the design while it decides whether to move forward with a reboot of its past.
A patent doesn't mean the Up Buggy will ever move beyond the sheet-of-paper stage, but Autocar says VW is studying the market to see if a production version is feasible. We can't see North America ever getting it, but even so, we wouldn't complain if they made it - especially if they put an exposed engine in back that was set off by 18-inch-long twin tailpipes jutting straight up into the air. However, for a company that aims to be the world's number-one automaker by 2018, a niche vehicle for its mass-market brand would be a surprising use of resources.
