2000 Volkswagen Beetle Tdi - 21,000 Actual Miles - 1 Owner - Turbo Diesel - Vw! on 2040-cars
San Antonio, Texas, United States
Many pictures are loading, please be patient. Don't hesitate to call or email if you have any questions! 2000 Volkswagen Beetle TDI Sedan
Here's the car you've been waiting for! If you've noticed
these
Beetle TDIs have become extremely rare to find on the open
market!
Due to the rising fuel prices most of these car's owners have decided
to
hang on to them as these cars not only have some of the best mileage of
any car on the market, but they also have one of the highest (we
believe
_the_ highest) fuel range of any car! Don't be fooled. I
realize
that Diesel is a little on the expensive side right now, but that's
common
for this time of the year! This car gets on average twice the gas
mileage of cars this size. You can pay $4.00 for a gallon of
Diesel
to go 49 miles or spend $7.00 for two gallons of gasoline to go the
same 49 miles. That's why these cars are so popular. Diesel
would
have to get a lot more expensive than regular gasoline to make this car
unpractical! VW Designed this car with an 14.5 gallon fuel
tank!
Even going by the EPA fuel mileage estimates (49 highway) you can
expect
this car to get 710 miles to the tank. If you keep the speed down
it's been well known that this car will hit 50 miles per gallon which
will
give you even more increased mileage! Granted you are not going
to
run this car until its completely empty each time which is what you'd
have
to do to see these numbers, but if you run it until the needle is
pointing
to empty you should have around two gallons left which means you can
still
go 612 miles between tanks. Forget going 300-400 miles and having
to fill up again! Fill this car's tank and forget it (at least
for
500-600 miles)! This isn't your typical gas saving car that has a
micro sized fuel tank! You'll really love having the freedom of
going
so far between fill ups. For people that don't drive far in their
daily routine, that means a couple of weeks before you need to fill up
again!
Here's a once and a lifetime opportunity to get yourself a very rare
classic style, one owner Beetle TDI. You can really
see the well sculpted lines that this car offers. It really has
some
character! For years when you would say the word diesel
people
would instantly think of thick smoke, loud noise, and the horrible odor
that you see from big trucks with diesel engines. Volkswagen
improved
technology and made diesel technology cleaner, quieter, and odor
free!
This diesel engine really doesn't share any of the characteristics that
other diesels have. You don't even have to wait before starting
it.
It starts right up just like a gas engine! Most people did not
know
about these innovations so the sales of these classic Beetle TDIs were
very low making this car very hard to find! Those of you that are
looking for a truly incredible example of a Beetle in the TDI version
are in
luck!
We've got one right here for your consideration! This is your golden opportunity to
purchase that Beetle TDI that
you've
always been wanting! This Beetle TDI comes to you in one of the
most
desirable color combination, Black with Beige leather on
the
inside, very attractive indeed! This is the TDI turbo diesel
version
that is one of the cheapest Beetles to own as well as maintain. Its a
well
known fact that these engines last for hundreds of thousands of miles
and
still provide unbelievable gas mileage (around 50 mpg). This is a
one owner, non smoker, Texas car. The car has a spotless history
report! It's spent its entire life registered right here in
Texas!
You don't have to worry about rust or corrosion like most of these cars
which have been up north. This one has spent its entire life
right
here in rust free Central Texas! We checked all around the car and
found NO RUST and no indications the car will develop rust in the
future!
This car may also have the lowest mileage in the country for a 2000
model
with only 21,590 original miles on it. That's simply incredible
to
have a TDI Diesel with only 21,000 miles on it! Everything we've
seen on the market has at least twice this mileage and commonly three
to
four times the mileage. These cars get the best fuel mileage so
naturally
they're the first choice when it comes to being the car to drive which
has led to most of these cars having plenty of mileage on them.
Not
this one! You can finally enjoy a TDI that has incredibly low
mileage
so you know that it will last you for many years and many hundreds of
thousands
of miles in the future! You'll have a hard time finding anything
that is a 2000 model of anything with 21k miles, much less the car of
your
dreams! The car's life is just beginning to get started!
You
can really enjoy this car as its
still in its infancy. With the
proven
reliability of these TDI engines behind this car and the quality German
engineering of Volkswagen you know that this mileage is just the tip of
the iceberg with this car. Although you don't see them on the
market
often, there are plenty of proud VW owners that have these cars with
300,000,
400,000 or even 500,000 miles and they have absolutely no intention of
selling them! They're laughing to the bank with the thousands of
dollars they've saved on gas over the years! You'll really be impressed
with how nice the car is inside. It still looks very good!
With the 5-speed manual transmission and cruise control, this would
make
a great highway car, or as a great around town car, even
both!
You'll really be amazed by how nice the car's interior is! The
car
really has been kept clean! The a/c is very cold and the heat is
hot.
All the windows, power locks, seats, power sunroof, and power mirrors
work
great! It also has cruise control which makes those highway
drives much easier. No warning lights remain illuminated on the dash
after
the vehicle is started, just as it should be! The factory VW
stereo
has great sound. What will really impress you is the car's
exterior. The paint still looks nice and shiny. The
interior of the car is also in beautiful condition showing only the
most minimal wear!
The factory wheels are beautiful and are matched to a set of tires that
are nearly new and still have most of their tread remaining. As a
special bonus you get
all the car's books!
So how
does it drive? You'll
be very pleased with how
well
this car has been kept. It still drives wonderfully! The
suspension
is tight, the car hugs the turns and absorbs the bumps just as it did
when
it was new. You'll be completely blown away when you drive this
car
and feel how nice it still is! We're very confident that this car
will last for many more years and miles of driving pleasure. The
brakes stop the car evenly and effectively just as they should.
The
car's Turbo Diesel engine still runs great. It's very quick to
start
when cold weather its sitting overnight or for a couple of days! It
still
runs very smoothly. It has great pickup and great acceleration at
both low and highway speeds. This has to be the quickest
diesel
I've ever driven. It has great pickup and great acceleration at
both
low and highway speeds. You will have no trouble passing slower
traffic
in this car. Unlike other cars, you don't have to sacrifice
performance
to get good fuel economy! This car has no trouble getting up to
highway
speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour in a very reasonable time!
The turbo is still kicking in wonderfully making this gas saver have
some
very reasonable power. The 5-speed manual transmission shifts
very
smooth, just as it should. The clutch still feels great! All the
lights work great. You'll really be pleased with the overall
quality
of this car when you get in it and drive it! It runs and drives
just
as you'd expect with only 21,000 miles on it!
You will have a very hard time finding
a
car that's this nice for
such
little money. This car is really a value with a selling price
well
below any guidebook's standards. This would make a great car for
anyone, being a highway driver or a car to get around town. These
classic body style Beetle TDIs are incredibly hard to find, and
needless
to say that with this kind of low mileage (21,000!) they are virtually
impossible to find! We believe you'll never again get a chance to
purchase a Beetle TDI with this kind of low mileage! These cars
provide
an incredible amount of room while providing unmatched fuel
economy!
This really is a great car for anyone! With gas prices on the
rise,
this car will demonstrate its great value time and time again every
time
you come up to the pump and fill up. As you probably know these
cars
are getting snapped up quickly when they hit the market. The
general
public is starting to realize what VW owners have known for over 10
years!
The TDI simply is the best deal out there! Very soon you won't
see
any more of these Beetle TDI models on the market. They'll all be
snapped up by people who intend to "drive them until the wheels fall
off".
Of course wheels falling off on these rock solid cars seldomly happens
if ever, but you get the idea. The reserve is low and we
anticipate
it being met well before the end of the auction. That's right, we
actually plan on selling this fine car at the end of the
auction.
With experts predicting that gas prices will only go up as time goes
on,
this car will demonstrate its great value time and time again.
These
cars don't come around every day! In fact, this is the only
classic
body style Beetle TDI we've seen in a very long time and it'll probably
be one of the last ones we have judging by how quickly these cars are
getting
snapped up! You'll really see the benefit of getting a car that's
a one owner. When someone pays the full sticker price for the car
they tend to take steps to make sure that the car stays in good
condition
while they're driving it as they remember what the car looked like when
it was brand new! This one really shows that an effort was made
to
keep this car in beautiful condition! Bid early and follow the
auction
to the end, don't let another bidder with a couple of quick clicks of
the
mouse in the final minutes of the auction take your dream car away from
you! Don't settle for second best, get the car of your dreams and
the luxury you deserve! You will not be disappointed! Don't
let this wonderful opportunity pass you by!
Take a look at this beautiful, very rare Beetle TDI Turbo Diesel! Can you believe it? Only 21,000 ONE OWNER miles on this 2000 model! The front is still in great condition! Just look at it! You'll be nothing but impressed with the condition of this ONE OWNER car! Just look at this beauty! I wish I could say the car was perfect, but just like with just about every single Beetle I've seen the front fog lamp grille is slightly damaged from rubbing a curb. You don't notice it unless you really look but I did want to point it out to you so you are not expecting the car to be showroom perfect. The color of this car is just beautiful! You'll love this car in Black! It really brings out the best in this car! This car really has been well kept! Just look at this car! It's just incredible! A 2000 model with only 21,000 miles! You can look long and far but you won't find one with lower mileage than this! Just look at this car's great looks! This is a car you wouldn't hesitate to show off to everyone! Can you believe it? You can get all these great looks AND nearly 50 miles to the gallon! The body still looks great! The car has some incredible well defined lines, even from the back. This car is sure to become a classic in the near future! Just look at how nice this car is! You'll be impressed with the car's overall quality! It really is nice! Just look at this car! It's incredible how nice and well kept this car is! The paint still looks incredible as you can see! Just look at that trunk shine! The roof still looks beautiful! Look at those clouds reflecting! Just as the rest of the paint, the roof also looks beautiful! This car really is a find! You can look long and far but you won't find one of higher quality! The factory wheels are immaculate! The wheels are matched to a nearly new set of tires! You won't have to worry about tires for quite some time with this car! Plenty of tread! The rear has more than enough room to accommodate whatever you'd like to place in there. If you need more room, the two rear seats fold down to allow you to fit even more in the rear. You have a very roomy trunk to give you plenty of options when it comes to storage! Take a look at how clean the trunk is! Underneath the trunk, you have the car's spare tire! Like most Beetles this one has some finger nail marks on the black colored trim. The car appears to have been driven by a female for the few miles that it does have. You'll be very pleased with the condition of this car! It really has been well kept! Take a look at how clean this car is! The owner really went out of their way to keep everything looking nice in here! The driver's seat is still in great shape showing minimal (if any!) wear!
The passenger's door is also spotless! Just look at how nice it is! Just look at how clean everything is inside! You'll be amazed with the cleanliness of this car's interior! Take a look at that five speed transmission! You'll really be impressed by this car's overall condition! Just look at how nice everything is! After all, it only has 21,000 miles on it! It's amazing that there's still a survivor! This is the real deal! An original ONE OWNER 2000 Beetle TDI! I'm sure the rear seats were very rarely used if ever. They look great! Plenty of room in the rear for passengers! Just look at these rear seats! Just look at how nice this car's interior is! It's amazing how nice a car can look after some careful ownership! All the controls are right at your fingertips! You'll really love what a joy this car is to drive! Not only are you enjoying the ride of a quality German automobile, but you're enjoying incredible Turbo Diesel gas mileage upwards of 49 miles per gallon!
You have the dual vanity mirrors along with the map lights! The driver's vanity mirror light no longer works. The power glass moon roof still works great. The headliner looks great!
You even get the car's owner's manuals and books!
Here's the car's instrument cluster shown with the engine running! No warning lights illuminate after the vehicle is started! Just as it should be! Just look at this car's incredibly low mileage!
Just look at how nice and clean this TDI engine is!
You'll thank yourself again and again for choosing the TDI Diesel engine. This engine has a growing reputation of being known for their reliability. This engine should easily go 500,000 miles with proper maintenance! Don't forget, only 21,000 one owner miles!
The engine is spotless! We didn't notice anything wrong with the car under here or anywhere else for that matter. With only 21,000 miles this car is just getting started! You'll be pleased with this car!

This Or That: 1987 VW Vanagon Syncro vs. 1987 Land Rover Defender [w/poll]
Thu, 13 Nov 2014As I scoured auction sites and classified ads for the perfect vehicle to take into battle with Autoblog Associate Editor Brandon Turkus, I knew I needed to find something unique. You see, I'm currently 0-2 at winning a round of This or That, in which two of our editors agree on a category, choose a side, and argue it out over a (mostly) friendly chain of emails.
The first time we did this, my chosen Fiat 500 Abarth took about a third of the popular vote in our reader poll. The second time, my lovely 1980 Oldsmobile 442 did just a little bit better against a 1989 BMW 635 CSi. Despite holding the opinion that my automotive choices, though perhaps a little bit more... obscure than my fellow editors, are still better, an outright win would go a long way toward boosting my vehicular self worth a few notches upward.
With all of that out of the way, even if three isn't my lucky number after all, I go into battle against Brandon knowing full well that I've made the perfect choice: A 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon Syncro. My rough-and-tumble van/'ute has a formidable opponent in the form of a 1987 Land Rover Defender, which, truth be told, is exactly what I was expecting from Turkus, a self-proclaimed Rover aficionado.
If VW defaults on loans it may sell Bentley or Lamborghini
Mon, Dec 7 2015If something goes catastrophically wrong with Volkswagen Group's recent $21 billion loan, brands like Bentley or Lamborghini could hit the auction block. According to two insiders to Reuters, the beleaguered German automaker agrees with its creditors to sell assets if the company somehow can't pay back the debt in a year. One of these anonymous people claimed the company hasn't yet deliberated over what to sell. However, the sources were willing to speculate that the power engineering portion of Man could be among the first to go. "Volkswagen may also consider divesting luxury car brands Bentley and Lamborghini or motor bike brand Ducati, although these units don't really move the needle," an insider said to Reuters. VW Group negotiated with the banks earlier this week to get the massive loan. The cash is necessary as a buffer in case the automaker doesn't have enough money on hand to repair vehicles or settle upcoming fines. VW would reportedly issue bonds in the spring to begin paying the debt. The company's bills will start racking up quickly in the new year. German authorities mandate a recall there in early 2016, and repair campaigns in the US for the 2.0- and 3.0-liter diesel engines are inevitable. There are also hundreds of class-action lawsuits to settle. The company needs to resolve its CO2 emissions scandal in Europe, too. In response to these financial threats, VW management created a cost-cutting plan to slash the research and development budget by $1.1 billion next year.
Volkswagen Caddy gets the Alltrack treatment for Frankfurt
Sun, Sep 13 2015We've seen Alltrack versions of the VW Golf and Passat. The German automaker's commercial vehicles division has even done a concept version of the Multivan with a similar treatment. And now it's taking that same rugged off-road approach with the Caddy van. The new Caddy Alltrack starts off with the latest, fourth-generation city van revealed earlier this year in Geneva, and beefs it up to replace the previous Cross Caddy. That comes down principally to black trim on the wheel arches, side sills, bumpers, and underbody protection with metallic accents. It also packs unique 17-inch alloys, fog lights, chrome trim on the grille, silver roof rails, a new optional beige metallic paint (pictured), and Alltrack logos galore. The interior has similarly been worked over with unique trim. Though no mention has been made of any suspension upgrades, the Caddy Alltrack can be specified with 4Motion all-wheel drive. Prospective buyers (in markets where VW offers its commercial vehicles line) will also have to choose between passenger and panel van body-styles, and between four diesel and three gasoline engine options. They range in output from 74 to 123 horsepower and come mated to manual or dual-clutch transmissions with five, six, or seven gears. Look for the new Caddy Alltrack to highlight the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles display at the Frankfurt Motor Show opening later this week. Related Video: The new Caddy – now available as Alltrack version with off-road styling - World premiere of Cross Caddy successor at IAA 2015 - Fourth generation of the Volkswagen best-seller once again available in rugged off-road style - Passenger car and panel van Alltrack variants optionally available with 4MOTION Hannover/Frankfurt, 10 September 2015 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will be showcasing the latest off-road style version of its best-selling Caddy at the IAA (International Automobile Show) from 15 to 27 September, 2015. The successor to the Cross Caddy is called the Caddy Alltrack. Like its predecessor, it is available both in passenger car and panel van formats. The latest version of the urban delivery van and family MPV is clearly distinct from the other Caddy models with its exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels 'Quito', new Mojave Beige metallic paintwork and optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive technology.
