Up for sale is a 1968 Volkswagen dune buggy. Just to start this DOES NOT RUN. It was my daily driver for two years. I ended up having some motor issues and took it to a mechanic to have it looked at. $3700 later it had a rebuilt motor! 50 miles later and again it no longer runs. The mechanic has skipped town and I have no receipts for proof of anything done to it, for all I know it got new spark plugs. Anyways for the motor it has an 1835 cc said to be machined out a little and has a longer trove crank. The block is the GEX block which I have been told is an awesome block, and it is stamped on the inside of the passenger valve cover if you want pics of the stamping. I just no longer have the time or know how for this project anymore, it used to run great and has a great shifting van transaxle with a fairly tight front end and good brakes. It's unit is STREET LEGAL! I have it licensed in the state of wyoming it has turn signals horns headlights everything. Very easy to register. It has a weber carb on it and it seems to have powered it just fine when it ran. Loved the thing I'm sure I have missed a few things about it please feel free to text me at 7o1--five80--7eight53. VW debuts Get Happy Super Bowl ad

Brace yourself for another tidal wave of Super Bowl commercials. Volkswagen has released its spot for this year's big game. Set to air during the second quarter, the Get Happy spot follows one jubilant office worker as he makes his way through the day, spreading joy wherever he goes. The source of his happiness? A Volkswagen Beetle, of course. Now, if you're wondering why a gaggle of white guys are running around on your screen with Jamaican accents, it will help to know the spot is part of a larger Get Happy campaign featuring Jimmy Cliff.
The first ad in the series featured the artist singing his rendition of "C'Mon, Get Happy," complete with a little help from some notorious unhappy YouTube stars. You can take a look at the new ad before it airs below, along with the complete press release for a little more background.

World Car Awards finalists snub American-branded vehicles — except for Bronco

The list of World Car Awards has been whittled down to 10 finalists, but only one American brand — Ford Â— appears among the remaining nine carmakers for this yearÂ’s top award. The Bronco is there, and it also is balloted as a finalist in the design category. The other categories are performance car, urban car, electric vehicle and luxury model. Each category has five finalists except World Car, which has 10. One brand conspicuous by its absence in any category: Tesla. The winner in each is scheduled to be crowned March 27 at the New York International Auto Show in Manhattan. This year marks the 20th year of the World Car Awards and the partnership with the New York show. The selection process involves 100-plus automotive journalists from 29 countries who vote, as they review and test-drive the eligible vehicles for the 2024 awards. Their journey is captured virtually on World Car TV. If youÂ’re counting, the brands that appear most on the six finals lists are Mercedes-Benz (four times), BMW (also four), Hyundai (three), and Volvo (three). HereÂ’s the full listing.
