I'm selling this car with no reserve!  1966 Volkswagen Beetle...barn find. Loaded with patina. Car was last registered in 1984. Very solid. Floor pans still intact and are in good shape and appear to be original! Battery tray is solid.   Original heater channels are solid. Body has surface rust..minimal rot. There is a small spot on the left rear 1/4...just in front of the rear fender.... original paint! The body is very straight. Decklid has a couple minor dents.  Passenger door and rear fender were replaced years ago and have java green paint coming through. Doors fit great and close tight!  Glass is all intact and is great shape. Car was converted to 12 volt and original engine was replaced with a 1500cc. Not running-missing carb, distributor, coil, and muffler. Engine turns free.  4 speed tranmission.  Interior is intact and complete. Car has the original wheels,-including spare. The spare tire well is still pretty solid with minimal rust. This would be a great car to restore or would make a cool rat look bug. No Title-previous owner owned the car since '75 and misplaced it.  Replacement title is easy to obtain through a title agency. VIN plate is intact! Not many unrestored east coast '66 beetles out there this solid. This car has nothing to hide. Body is not chopped or hacked up. I don't know the actual milage of the car.  For further questions, please call 856-299-1636. Please don't call past 10pm E.S.T. If you are hesitant at buying a car long distance, have someone view the car for you.  I am selling this car AS IS. No warranty or refund.  Paypal deposit of $200 due within 24 hours of auction. Remaining balance to be paid within 7 days of auction. Shipping/transport is responsibility of the buyer.  I can assist in loading.  NO RESERVE!! Thanks and good luck.  Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Volkswagen Tiguan tunes up for Frankfurt show

Fri, Jun 12 2015

Volkswagen is in the phase of testing where it's simply beating the crap out of the next-generation Tiguan. The German manufacturer is conducting high-altitude towing tests in the Alps of mules wearing the production-ready body of its second-gen compact CUV. This is the first time we've seen the Tiguan in its production body, and despite the ample camouflage, the resemblance to not only the Passat sedan, but the Cross Coupe GTE and CrossBlue concepts, is clear. That's particularly true based on what we can see of the new Tiguan's grille and headlight treatment. In back, the Tiguan will adopt a more sporting roofline, particularly in the aggressive rake of the D-pillar. It's significantly different than the current car, and frankly, that's no bad thing. Expect the usual array of gas and diesel four cylinders with both front- and all-wheel drive on offer. On the high end, meanwhile, our spies claim a 300-horsepower R model could eventually be added to the range. Aside from its new look, future variants could see the crossover spawn both a long-wheelbase version and a coupe-like model. That said, we're wondering how a long-wheelbase Tiguan would fit into the VW range alongside the long-rumored, American-built, three-rower. According to our spies, though, neither one of those vehicles would arrive until well after the vehicle shown above debuts. As for when we can expect to see the second-gen Tiguan, our spies point to September's Frankfurt Motor Show. Be sure to check back then.

Volkswagen Golf voted 2013 European Car of the Year

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf just went on sale in Europe, but it is already off to a promising start. Announced as the Geneva Motor Show kicked off, the newest Golf was named European Car of the Year for 2013 in dominating style over cars like the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT86 twins, Volvo V40, Ford B-Max and Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
According to Automotive News Europe, the MkVII Golf won handily over its rivals with a total of 414 votes. The Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 received 202 votes finishing in a distant second, while the Volvo V40 (189 votes), Ford B-Max (148 votes) and Mercedes-Benz A-Class (138 votes) round out the top five. The new Golf marks the third Volkswagen product to receive the prestigious award with previous cars including the MkIII Golf and the most recent iteration of the Polo.
