1958 VW built in Germany. Everyone who sees this VW says it is "Awesome" and don't sell it! VWs this old do come available but not in this good of shape for this price range. This vehicle is perfect for a daily driver or full restoration. If someone wanted to restore an older VW this would save lots of time and money. The VW has matching pan and body number (1696390).
The interior was redone a few years ago and has nice carpet and black and gray VW embossed seats. The glass on the VW is all original as shown by the "Sekurit" marking (See photos). The weather strip on the rear window, rear side windows and front window was replaced a few years ago and is in great shape. The windshield has a crack in front of driver's seat and would need replacement. The engine is a 1969 and runs really strong. The vehicle is currenlty registered and driven. When I purchased the vehicle I was told the odometer reflects actual mileage on a rebuilt motor. The VW was originally green and was repainted white.
I will keep the VW parked in the garage during the auction so the photos are the actual condition of the vehicle.
Buyer is responsible for a Non Refundable deposit of 500 within 48 hours of closing of auction. If the winning bidder uses scam tactics to win auction, and the scam is discovered and confirmed by eBay. The vehicle will not be transfered to scammer and security deposit will not be refunded. I appoligize about this but the last vehicle I sold the winning bidder used interference tactics to win auction and ebay confirmed and ended closing the wining bidders multiple eBay accounts used in the fraudulent behavior.
Buyer is responsible for shipping. I can store the vehicle at my house for up to 30 days to assist buyer with shipping. I am also willing to drive the vehicle/transfer vehicle to a third party shipper in the Phoenix area to assist the buyer.

Driver's side door latch
Passenger side window regulator
Weather strip for driver and passenger door.

VW clubs pay it forward to fix elderly woman's vandalized '69 Bus
Sun, Jan 11 2015Not long after Thanksgiving, surveillance cameras caught four boys in Arizona throwing rocks through the windows of a 1969 Volkswagen bus belonging to an elderly woman called Ann. A few nights later they returned to the scene of the first crime and repeated it, smashing windows they missed before. Ann had no other car and no way to make a living, but when Jesus Aguilera – a member of the Arizona Bus Club – came across the incident on a Facebook page, he got to work. When he was finished, the AZ Bus Club and the Tucson Mob Squad had donated thousands of dollars to pay for new glass and get it installed, and now Ann has a magic bus she can drive again. Now, the vandals just need to be caught... Check out the video above for the story. News Source: AZ FamilyTip: Jav Volkswagen Minivan/Van Classics Videos crime vw bus
2015 Volkswagen GTI: Introduction [w/video]
Fri, Feb 20 2015If you've ever met me, listened to me on the podcast, or come to know me through my writing during the last five years at Autoblog, the following phrase should not surprise you: I freaking love the Volkswagen GTI. I've long said that the GTI is the perfect daily driver for the everyday enthusiast – a car that offers as much practicality as it does performance, served up in a semi-premium, attractive package. I've preached the GTI's story to anyone who would listen, and I've managed to convince several people to actually go out and buy one (those folks later telling me they're super happy with their cars, by the way). As for this new, seventh-generation GTI, I'll offer a little backstory. In 2013, Volkswagen flew me to Germany to attend the Frankfurt Motor Show, where I also got to drive a number of the company's products, including the CrossBlue crossover concept. While waiting for my turn to pilot the CrossBlue in an airport hangar, one of the German PR folks directed my attention to a white, four-door GTI sitting outside, and said I was free to have my way with it for, oh, 20 minutes... on an empty runway... in the rain. This was my first experience with the new GTI, in a fairly loaded spec, with all the performance goodies. Needless to say, I loved it. But my other big belief about the GTI is that this car is truly perfect in its base form. The sixth-generation car was a blast without any dynamic controls or performance whats-its, and while those things certainly help make this new hot Golf a more enthusiastic package than ever, in my eyes, they aren't completely necessary. That's why, when it came time to order a long-term car, I took control of the options. The end result is the carbon steel gray GTI you see here, in four-door S (base) spec, with a six-speed manual transmission. Yes, I did outfit our car with the only two options available to S shoppers (aside from the $1,495 performance pack) – the $995 lighting package and $695 driver assistance pack – but other than that, it's a no-nonsense hot hatch. No sunroof. No leather. No fully power-adjustable seats. No navigation. No dual-zone climate control. No automatic headlights. No upgraded audio. The bottom line is that our long-term GTI comes in with an as-tested price of $27,895, including the $820 destination charge. That's right: a $28,000 GTI. What our car does have is everything you'd want in a GTI.
