Great Running Motor 1641 - Rancho Transmission Freeway Flyer

Awesome Deeps Wheels in rear

Recently put her on a IRS pan (with body to pan gasket) no rust.

The good and the bad----

Bad first - Not really bad but brakes need adjusting, plus I have 2 new brake fluid reservoirs that can be installed, just don't have time. Brakes prob just need to be bled, not the strongest at the moment but everything else is tip top. Had plans for this great bug but now is not the time. I am prepping to move and cannot find time to tinker with it, everything else is tip top!

Ovals really set you apart and stand out out in the VW world, this one is solid and super fun.

Unfortunately I have not had it long and just built a 16x20 building for it (it stays garaged) but have gotten a job out of the country and don't want the bug to sit, I had a bunch of plans for her but Ill start again in a few years, I did take out a loan for this bug and will get the winning bidder the title shortly after we complete the transaction.

Thanks for checking it out

As promised new pics - note that I did not wait tip "Golden Hour" to take pics, These pics are in broad daylight.  I didn't want to wait tip later to take pics that look better than they are.  Even though the Bug looks better in person IMO.  Trying to honestly represent this car.

Also some notes from my drive today, you cannot beat this electronic distributor - the car fires up on the first try and immediately idles perfect, no gas pedal, gas pedal, gas pedal. just fire it up and let her warm up,  The motor runs sooooo smooth, the clutch engages so nice and smooth, especially compared to other bugs Ive owned.

Anyway this thing is nice and straight and if you email me your email address I can shoot you a quick video of the motor running if you'd like.  Any more question just let me know.

Volkswagen Touareg hybrid axed for 2016

Fri, Aug 7 2015

Volkswagen is axing the Touareg hybrid for the 2016 model year. At a starting price of $67,905 (after $910 destination), the 2015 version sat at the top of the Touareg range, but it didn't offer significantly improved fuel economy for the extra money. The hybrid was only three miles per gallon city and one mpg highway better than the base V6. Another hurdle for potential buyers: the entry-level diesel had even better highway mileage and cost over $14,000 less. Earlier this year, Nissan made a similar decision to scrap the Pathfinder hybrid, and the future for the QX60 hybrid is murky. Volkswagen has a few other adjustments in store for the 2016 Touareg. The biggest change is that the whole lineup sees about $2,000 sliced off the price. According to Car and Driver, the adjustment knocks $2,090 off the base price to bring things to $42,705. In addition, the Lux and Executive trims now get standard 14-way power adjustable and ventilated seats, and the two of them are also offered with new, 21-inch wheels. The Executive also now gets power adjustment on the steering column and a suite of safety tech, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, and lane departure warning. This month's deals on wheels: 3 cars with incentives, rebates

Fri, Apr 7 2017

On television, they come at you rapid-fire: truck deals, car deals, SUV deals. You don't have time to read the fine print, and many sound too good to be true. What follows are three deals that are both good and true. And check out our entire list of incentives and rebates. VOLKSWAGEN JETTA: With Dieselgate winding down and VW's all-new three-row SUV – the Atlas – winding up, Volkswagen is selling sedans with incentives. The Jetta remains VW's bestseller in the US. If you're looking for an immodest deal on modest transportation, you can do worse than a lease on the 2017 Jetta S. THE DETAILS: Purchase at 0.9% APR (no down payment required, available on new 2017 Jetta models financed by Volkswagen Credit, participating dealers only). At that rate, you could save $1,600 over the life of a loan. Offer ends May 1, but given the tepid market interest in sedans, incentives will probably continue through the balance of the model year. NISSAN TITAN CREW CAB: While some buyers will wait for Nissan's recently announced Titan King Cab, and commercial users will grab the regular cab and 8-foot bed, we'll recommend a lightly optioned 4X4 crew cab with standard V8 power, California-penned sheetmetal and a made-in-America footprint. Nissan's full-size pickup is finally a credible competitor in the pickup segment. THE DETAILS: With $3,500 cash back, on top of whatever deal you negotiate, Nissan is effectively reducing the window sticker of a Titan S crew cab by almost 10 percent. MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER: Some cars show up on buyers' radar, some don't. Some aren't anywhere near the radar room. Mitsubishi's Outlander is one of those. But that doesn't diminish its basic attractiveness, especially for young families looking for an affordable three-row SUV with responsive power and competitive features. Add one of the industry's longest warranties and a compelling deal, and you suddenly have reason to track down a Mitsubishi dealer. THE DETAILS: It couldn't be simpler – negotiate your best deal on a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander, and then receive a $2,000 rebate; on a remaining 2016, it's $3,000. We'd select a fully-equipped GT 3.0S – AWC, which hooks Mitsubishi's V6 to a conventional automatic (vs. a CVT on lower-priced models) and all-wheel drive. That's a window sticker of about $34,000, and you can count on an aggressive posture by the dealer to get your business. Mitsubishi Nissan Volkswagen Car Buying Buying Guide Truck SUV Sedan
