I regret but i have to sell my very dependable 2005 Toyota Tundra SR5 Access Cab. It has a 4.7 Liter engine i force V8. with a 5 speed Automatic Transmission. 152k Original Miles. Both the engine and Transmission are in excellent running condition. Shifts smooth. Quiet. Engine does not Burn oil, No leaks of any sort and does not smoke. It is a Rear Wheel Drive NOT a 4x4. Vehicle was never used for Towing. Just light duty work and commuting. The car has newer tires, regular services have always been done on the car. Full Synthetic Mobile 1 Oil has always been used since car was new. New Carrier bearing (center support), Wipers, Oil change, and the 100k miles Service was done in 2012 which included a Timing Belt, Water Pump, Air filter, Spark Plus, Induction Service etc. Never had any issues with the Car. It is very strong and dependable and i hate the fact that i have to sell it, Selling because i have to go back to my country next month and i would rather sell the car at a good price to someone instead of selling it to a dealer who will make money on it. Do research and you will not find a well maintained Tundra at a good price with reasonable miles, year, condition and level of maintenance. Once again the car was not used to tow so the Transmission is excellent so is the engine.

The car is loaded with all power windows, steering, tilt wheel, Cruise control, ABS, Ice cold A/c and Hot heat, Keyless entry with alarm system, Towing Package, Fog lights, Alloy wheels, and many more. I put an after market Pioneer Stereo which plays DVD, Micro SD card, MP3, CD, Ipod, USB. Reason i put the stereo is so that i could hook up a Back Up Camera to the back of the car. I still have the 6 disc factory stereo that i will throw in. Tool Box included too.

Two things to expect. The Tire Pressure monitor light is on the dash due to a faulty sensor in the wheel. Also there are coupe of scratches and small dings around the car esp on the front right fender as seen in the pic. Scratches were due to the previous owner ( my friend) was a paint contractor and he used to transport his stuff on the car. So there are some paints here and there. Nothing Major. Can't even see in the pics. Both of theses do not affect how the car runs and they are nothing major. Car has no body damage or dents. Clean in and Out. I bought the car from my friend who was the original owner. So am second owner and it has no previous accident. I got a Carfax copy when i got the car. Clean history. Thanks for looking. I have Clean Virginia Title and I will only accept cash. Serious buyers only call or Text me on 434*509*2714

Toyota will invest $210 million to expand West Virginia engine production

Sun, Feb 21 2021

WASHINGTON — Toyota is investing $210 million to expand engine production in West Virginia and add 100 new jobs. The Japanese automaker said it would boost capacity by 70,000 engines a year at the Buffalo, West Virginia plant, up from the nearly 1 million transmissions and engines it produces annually for vehicles assembled in North America. The investment will increase assembly capacity of its four-cylinder engine line. The plant makes four- and six-cylinder engines for Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Highlander, Lexus ES, Lexus RX350, RAV4 and Sienna. The investment comes as automakers around the world are shifting more focus to electric vehicles and away from vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. Toyota says hybrid vehicles, which includes internal combustion engines, will be a key part of its vehicle strategy in the coming decade as other automakers focus more heavily on battery electric vehicles, which only run on electric power. Toyota said last week that 16% of its U.S. sales were hybrid vehicles in 2020, a figure that will jump to at least 20% in 2021. Related Video:

Rod Millen to face Monster Tajima in Electric Division of Pikes Peak Hill Climb

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

The 91st running of the Pike's Peak International Hill Climb is scheduled to begin on June 30. Like last year's event, the 12.42 mile course - fully paved these days - starts at 9,390 feet elevation and doesn't stop climbing until it reaches an impressive 14,110 feet (the air is so thin up there that the FAA requires pilots to use oxygen at that altitude).
There will be an assortment of internal combustion machines racing to the summit, entries from France, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Sweden, Brazil, Canada, Great Britain, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland and Belgium, but all eyes will be on the electric showdown between Rod Millen and Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima, from Japan. 61-year-old Millen is a familiar name to Toyota racing fans, and he will be driving the Toyota TMG EV P002 (it won the Electric title last year), while Tajima will be again piloting the Monster Sport E-Runner (which was forced out of the field last year after a fire broke out).
Other entrants include Rhys Millen driving a 2013 Hyundai PM58OT and Paul Dallenbach, who will be driving Millen's Hyundai Genesis Coupe (it set the all-time speed mark last year).

5 highlights from the 2018 Petersen Automotive Museum Auction

Fri, Nov 30 2018

From the avant garde exterior design to the collection of vehicles between the walls, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is one of the coolest car museums in the U.S., and possibly the world. Among several others, the Petersen has two featured exhibits, The Porsche Effect and Legends of L.A. But the museum has a different type of viewing coming up at which you could touch, or even buy, a variety of special vehicles. After hosting its SoCal auction on the coast in Santa Monica for several years, RM Sotheby's has moved the event to the more central location of the museum. In addition to several works of art, the auction which takes place the weekend of December 7, will show several dozens of blue-chip vehicles, chosen by RM Sotheby's 30 car specialists. After sorting through lots that range from microcars to new-age supercars, here are five of the highlights that caught our eyes. 1956 Ferrari 290 MM by Scaglietti Projected Value: $22,000,000-$26,000,000 Without question, this is the crown jewel of the entire show. As the eldest and most experienced of the 11 total Ferrari lots, its estimated value of $26 million is more than five times the values of the other five cars listed below combined. From the jump, Ferrari threw the 290 into the line of fire. Starting its life with a four-cylinder 860 Monza engine and a Tipo 520 chassis, its first race was the Mille Miglia. Peter Collins was behind the wheel and racing photographer Louis Klemantaski was his copilot. Ferrari took the top five spots in the race, with this car, chassis No. 0628, finishing second. It went on to see multiple races and took on multiple forms, including a V12 swap at one point. After switching through the hands of multiple owners, it was sent to Ferrari Classiche in Maranello, where it was restored to its form at the time of the 1957 12 Hours of Sebring. It retains its original chassis, original bodywork, and original transmission, and houses the V12 from its 290 MM spec. The restoration was completed in 2015, and the car remains in incredible shape today. 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV by Bertone Projected Value: $2,100,000-$2,500,000 Simply put, the Miura is one of the most significant supercars, and therefore one of the most important cars, of all time. Its two-seat, mid-engined configuration seismically shifted what a performance could and should look like, and its V12 gave it the power to be the fastest car in the world when it debuted.
