Up for sale is my 2005 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Access Cab 4x4 with 114,743 miles. It has a manual 5 speed transmission with the 4 cylinder 2.7l motor. Factory extras include ABS, air conditioning, sliding rear window, power windows, power door locks, bed liner, cruise control and the SR5 package. The CT title is clear, there are no liens and it has never been in an accident.

I recently bought it with the intention of driving it through the winter but I have the opportunity to buy an all wheel drive bmw for a good price but I need to sell this first.

The person I bought it from is the original owner. She purchased it new in West Virginia and then shortly after moved to CT. The truck has never hauled anything, it was never smoked it, no pets and rarely passengers. The interior looks like it literally just came off the showroom floor. The only downside of the interior is that the AC/heat fan only blows on the 4th setting. The AC blows cold and the heat is hot.

The exterior has no body rust at all. It does have a paint chip and scuff on the drivers side front corner, some scratches on the passenger side front corner with a little indent above that, a scuff on the tail gate, a crack in the drivers side tail light and a crack in the windshield. All of this can be seen in detail in the pictures and the video.

It was extremely well maintained mechanically with oil changes and tire rotations every 3,000 miles along with other scheduled maintenance. There are no leaks, drips, squeaks or rattles.

It recently had a few big ticket maintenance items taken care of which include...
-New battery (January 2013)
-4 Tires (January 2013)
-New front wheel bearings and seals (July 2013)
-New front brake rotors and pads (July 2013)
-New alternator (August 2013)
-Oil Change (August 2013)
-Have receipts for all work above

If you have any questions please give me a call at 860-7nine0-08nine2. I would also prefer you call if you are bidding to win. The last time I sold a vehicle on ebay I had to re-list due to a no call no show bidder.

A $100 deposit is due via paypal within 24 hours of the auction ending. The remaining balance can be paid in either cash or certified bank check.

In addition to the pictures I took two videos (copy/paste the links below). The first one shows a start up and walk around. The second shows a test drive and the 4 wheel drive operation. If there is anything else you would like to see just let me know.

Toyota to axe Venza by June 2015

Mon, Mar 2 2015

After years of wallowing about the market as a slow-selling alternative to its own RAV4 and Highlander (among over CUVs), Toyota is putting the Venza out to pasture, the company confirmed. Production will officially cease by June of this year, although Toyota will continue to screw together the car for export markets until September of 2017. No jobs will be affected at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing factory in Kentucky. TMMK already builds the Avalon, Camry and their hybrid variants. To make up for the loss of the Venza, Toyota has already upped production of the RAV4, and is planning on increasing supplies of its Highlander at its Princeton, IN factory. Venza sales have been, in a word, abysmal. According to CarsDirect, Toyota sold just 2,100 Venzas in January of 2015, while sales of the RAV4 and Highlander hit nearly 20,000 units for the former and exceeded 11,000 for the latter. Considering that, freeing up the showroom space occupied by the Venza sounds like a smart move.

Car theft skyrockets thanks to rising parts prices

Mon, Feb 19 2018

Cars and trucks today have achieved a high level of average quality, with safety and technology features that keep occupants safer than ever and meet consumers' high expectations. But the National Insurance Crime Bureau finds that those components come with a rising price tag, leading to expensive repair bills — and rising vehicle thefts to support a thriving black market for parts. The nonprofit NICB said it looked at the cost of replacement parts for the top 10 stolen 2016 models, with average OEM part prices pulled from a database of more than 24 million vehicle damage appraisals generated for 2016 and 2017 insurance claims. The list did not include major components like engines or transmissions, only easily-stripped components like bumpers, doors, hoods and headlights. It found that: The 2016 Toyota Camry, which had a used market value of around $15,000, had 15 commonly replaced parts that added up to almost $11,000, not including labor, with quarter panels alone costing almost $1,600 a pair and a set of alloy wheels tallying more than $1,600. The Camry was also the top stolen vehicle in 2016 at 1,113 thefts. A 2016 Nissan Altima had 14 standard parts worth more than $14,000, including a single headlamp assembly that costs just over $1,000. The Altima was the second-top stolen vehicle in 2016 at 1,063 vehicles stolen. And the 2016 GMC Sierra pickup, which was No. 7 on the 2016 top-stolen list, rang up $21,000 from 20 standard components, including an $1,100 headlamp assembly and an $1,100 rear bumper. "For the professional theft ring, stealing and stripping vehicles for parts has always been a lucrative business," Jim Schweitzer, NICB's senior vice president and chief operating officer, said in a statement. "On today's cars and trucks, the parts are often worth more than the intact vehicle and may be easier to move and sell. That's why we see so many thefts of key items like wheels and tires and tailgates ... there's always a market for them." Check out the NICB infographic below. Vehicle thefts in the U.S. rose by more than 4 percent in 2017, based on preliminary FBI data, after rising 7.6 percent in 2016, though the overall trend has been down since vehicle thefts peaked in 1991, according to the NICB. Lost power in a winter storm? Just hook up a Toyota Prius like this guy did

Thu, Jan 9 2014

The Toyota Prius' battery pack just got something like a five-star rating from a truly seasoned professional – a 50-year aircraft technician. Bob Osemlak, who'd served more than three of those five decades with the Canadian Air Force, brought electricity back to his home in December during a heavy ice storm thanks to his gas-electric car. His ingenuity allowed him to turn on lights, furnace, refrigerator and the TV. The Thornhill, Ontario resident lost power for nearly a day on December 21 – not nearly as much as millions of other people hit by the recent storm - and so he still set about using his Prius for backup power, according to EV World. His ingenuity allowed him to turn on lights, furnace, refrigerator and the TV. Being an aircraft technician for so long brought Osemlak the ability to home-brew his V2H set-up that he urges other people to avoid, for safety reasons. He had planned for a potential power outage by installing an outlet on his furnace and, when the storm struck, he ran a cord through the basement window to the car. During the nine hours Osemlak used his Prius for backup power, the car's fuel gauge only reduced less than one bar, or roughly the equivalent of a gallon of gasoline. It wasn't the first time Osemlak had played with his vehicle. In the 1960s, while stationed in Winnepeg, Manitoba, he created a car starter. Every hour, the car would start up and run for 10 minutes to avoid being frozen solid in frigid winter temperatures.
