Selling my 1994 Toyota pickup 4x4 with a 6'6" fisher minute mount plow. The truck is a factory original unmolested truck, it has never been modified, standard ride height. The truck has the bullet proof 4 cylinder 22re motor with 167k miles on it. The head has been redone withint the last 10k miles, the clutch within the last 20k miles, the front hubs were done earlier this month. The motor starts and runs as it should, no smoke, no visible leaks, no noises, the trans shifts flawlessly through all 5 gears up and down, the 4x4 engages with zero resistance, the truck pulls great just like the famous 22re should. The body is totally original, it has small scratches throughout the paint, there are two tiny rust spots as the picture shows, and one more in the front of the passenger front fender where it meet the grill. There is a small dent on the roof above the drivers door, the dashboard has some cracks in it from the previous owner. The truck has not been used to plow in many years however the frame and wiring has been installed for years. The plow is in excellent shape with no holes and honestly no rust. The piston and solenoid were replaced when the plow was pulled out of storage this season. The frame is IMMACULATE. There are no holes in the frame, it still sports factory black paint, it is as solid and clean as you will ever find, espscially in the Northeast. The brakes are very good, the tires have another full year on them (or longer depending on climate and driver) the paint it fading on the hood and roof, the bed in excellent, the interior is very good with a couple small scratches in the door panels, the rear sliding window works but needs a new latch, the fluids are clean and clear, the windows are tinted dark. This is not a brand new truck. It is a 1994 making it 19+ years old. It runs excellent, It has been well taken care of and is an everyday driver getting 25+ miles per gallon. I am not a mechanic but I take excellent care of all my vehicles. I have several plow trucks and when I lost the transmission in my everyday truck I bought this however I NEVER used it to plow and neither did the previous owner. I have described this to the best of my abilities however I make no promises other than what I have stated. I love the truck and I'm selling simply because I have 3 boys under age 5 and none of them can ride in this truck so I need to consolidate my stuff and buy a gas guzzling tank to haul them all around in. Any questions please ask and respond with your contact number. I'm not going to waste my time with tire kickers and serial emailers. Pick up the phone and I'm happy to talk to you and if you are close by come and see it for yourself. Thanks

Toyota projecting record profits, thanks in part to weak yen
Fri, Feb 6 2015Toyota retained its global sales crown in 2014 by selling 10.23 million cars in the calendar year. As the positive number might suggest, the Japanese automaker is doing extremely well financially, too. Although, some tougher times might be on the horizon. Toyota recently released its financial figures for the three fiscal quarters running from April 1 through the end of December 2014. Net profit jumped an impressive 13.2 percent to 1.727 trillion yen ($14.7 billion) for that period. It could be the Japanese automaker's most profitable time ever when the fiscal year ends in March, if things keep going this way, according to The New York Times. Toyota's own profit forecast for the 12-month period is also up by 130 billion yen ($1.1 billion) to 2.13 trillion yen ($18.1 billion). One key to the company's success is the low value of the Japanese yen, because it allows Toyota to make more money on each vehicle the company sells abroad. The currency is now worth relatively less than any time since the early '70s, according to The New York Times. Despite the rosy financial numbers, actual sales have started to fall, albeit a very slight amount. Through the three fiscal quarters, the company sold 6.73 million cars, a drop of just 45,365 vehicles. Toyota also reduced its forecast for the fiscal year to 9 million units, rather than the original estimate of 9.05 million. According to The New York Times, the shrinking Japanese auto market and difficulty in China might mean losing the global sales lead next year. For the US, sales jumped 145,411 units from April through December to a total 2.1 million vehicles. Operating income reached $4.27 billion, nearly 50 percent more than last year, according to The New York Times. Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Announces April – December 2014 Financial Results February 04, 2015 Toyota's global net income jumped 13.2 percent during the nine-month period (April 1– December 31, 2014) of the 2015 fiscal year. Global Financial Highlights: Global sales decreased by 45,365 vehicles to 6.73 million, with strong sales in North America and gains in Europe, offsetting decreases in Japan and other regions.
World Car Awards finalists snub American-branded vehicles — except for Bronco
Fri, Feb 2 2024The list of World Car Awards has been whittled down to 10 finalists, but only one American brand — Ford — appears among the remaining nine carmakers for this yearÂ’s top award. The Bronco is there, and it also is balloted as a finalist in the design category. The other categories are performance car, urban car, electric vehicle and luxury model. Each category has five finalists except World Car, which has 10. One brand conspicuous by its absence in any category: Tesla. The winner in each is scheduled to be crowned March 27 at the New York International Auto Show in Manhattan. This year marks the 20th year of the World Car Awards and the partnership with the New York show. The selection process involves 100-plus automotive journalists from 29 countries who vote, as they review and test-drive the eligible vehicles for the 2024 awards. Their journey is captured virtually on World Car TV. If youÂ’re counting, the brands that appear most on the six finals lists are Mercedes-Benz (four times), BMW (also four), Hyundai (three), and Volvo (three). HereÂ’s the full listing. Audi plans to give its electric vehicles looks that differentiate them from the rest of the lineup. "In early 2018, we will launch a battery-powered sports activity vehicle in the large premium segment with a range of more than 500 kilometers," says Audi's head of development, Ulrich Hackenberg. "It will have a new, very attractive design, which we are developing especially for the E-Tron range and for battery-electric vehicles." According to analysts, part of the reason the Toyota Prius was so successful was because it was easy to distinguish from other Toyota models with conventional powertrains. James Lawler used mostly scraps to build the tiny house – complete with tin roof, chimney, and stained glass window – for just $150 Australian. It took him about a week to finish. Lawler made use of his creation at the Meredith Music Festival so he didn't have to sleep in a tent. He was, however, fined by police for driving the makeshift motorhome.
