1989 Toyota Supra Turbo Hatchback 2-door 3.0l All Original! Unmolested! on 2040-cars
Houston, Texas, United States

1989 Toyota Supra Turbo Unmolested, Original Supra Turbo. Very hard to find in this condition. 77272 original miles. Automatic transmission. Ice Cold A/C. Wheels are absolutely perfect and it is sitting on new Nitto NT450 tires. In the last 300 miles it has had a new Alternator, spark plugs and wires, O2 sensors, thermostat, valve cover gaskets, drive belts and several hoses. The car does not leak anything or burn any oil. Original owner's manuals. I also have a LeBra front bra for the car with mirror covers, new in the box, that is included as well. This is a non-smoking vehicle. Ash tray and lighter appear to have never been used. No smells. Very nice original Burgundy cloth interior with no rips, stains or tears. Original carpeted Supra floormats. No cracks in dash. Original luggage cover works perfect and looks great. Interior is extremely clean. I would give the interior a 9/10 or better. The tops of the rear seats have some minor fading, but that is it. The exterior of the car is in very good shape. White paint shines nicely. All the glass is in perfect shape, no scratches, with a very nice tint job on the windows. It doesn't appear to have ever been in any accidents. There are some nicks and scratches in the paint, but not many. A couple of small dings along the right rear quarter panel. The front spoiler has a small tear in it from low driveways, I guess. I have only noticed a couple of tiny rust spots. Nothing bad for a car of 25 years old and being in and around several climates in its life. Overall, I would give the exterior of the car an 8.5/10 or better. This car has obviously had caring owners throughout it's life. It drives out great and the turbo spools up and has a great sound to it. I am being extremely forthright with what I have noticed about the car and want the buyer to be informed with truthful information. I am describing this car the way I would want it described to me. Please remember that it is 25 years old. This is not a new car. I am a very small, very particular, auto dealer in Houston, TX. I do it as a side business as I just love cars of all kinds. I only buy cars to resell that I like and enjoy. This car is owned by my company, 1012 Motorcars in Houston, TX. The buyer will have to pay a Vehicle Inventory Tax of .2558961% (about $25 per $10000) and temp. license plate fee of $5. Texas buyers will also have to pay sales tax of 6.25% along with Registration fees (@$55). Out of state buyers are responsible for titling and paying appropriate fees in your own state. I will accept a deposit thru PayPal of $500 within 24 hours of auction close and the car must be paid for in full within 7 days of Auction close by either Cash, Bank Wire or Certified Bank Check only. I will assist with shipping at the buyer's expense. Please check my feedback. I have sold many cars, and other stuff, to many happy people on eBay. Please forward any questions that you have to me and I will answer promptly. Thank you for looking and bidding! |

Recharge Wrap-up: Senators want stronger RFS, Toyota working to improve mobility in Bangkok
Fri, Apr 24 2015A new E15 bill has been introduced to the US House of Representatives. Sponsored by one Democrat and three Republican congressmen, the bill is a companion to the Fuel Choice and Deregulation Act of 2015 recently introduced to the Senate by Rand Paul and Chuck Grassley. The House bill's goal is similar: to remove certain restrictions to help get E15 to the marketplace. This bill also targets the EPA and its rules regarding the Reid Vapor Pressure of the ethanol blend. Read more in from Domestic Fuel. A bipartisan group of 37 senators is urging the EPA to strengthen the Renewable Fuel Standard. Stated reasons tend to focus on economics and energy security, but also on the future of other alternative fuels. The RFS "has strengthened agriculture markets and created hundreds of thousands of jobs in the new energy economy, many of which are in rural areas," the senators say in a letter to the EPA. "A stable RFS will also provide the certainty needed to unlock future investments in renewable fuels and necessary infrastructure, reduce our nation's dependence on foreign sources of energy, and drive innovation and progress toward cellulosic, biodiesel, recycled-waste, algal, and other advanced biofuels." See the full letter at Senator Chuck Grassley's website, and read more at Domestic Fuel. The Toyota Mobility Foundation has launched a pilot program in Bangkok, Thailand. In partnership with Chulalongkorn University, Toyota's program aims to help "people move, grow and explore in a world that is comfortable, safe and clean," says Toyota President Akio Toyoda (traditional rickshaws are pictured above). The program will focus on reducing congestion by creating sustainable shuttle and park and ride services, encouraging people to use multiple modes of transportation, use traffic simulation models to pinpoint particular problem areas and work with police to optimize traffic signals. The Bangkok project is expected to last a year and a half, ending in December 2016. Read more in the press release below. Realizing the Future of Mobility: Toyota Mobility Foundation Launches First Pilot Program in Thailand Program Supports Foundation's Global Mission to Advance Solutions for a More Mobile Society Tokyo, Japan (April 22, 2015) - More people everywhere are about to get moving. Recharge Wrap-up: First EV to attempt Dakar Rally, Mazda makes bioplastic parts
Fri, Dec 12 2014Zap and Jonway Auto brought their Urbee EV and their new Falcon A-380 SUV to the Peru Motor Show in Lima. Jonway sells its SUV and minivan in Lima through Dai-Ichi Motors, which displayed the cars at the show. According to the companies, their cars "received tremendous interest from the public," including private citizens as well as groups who would use the EVs for security guard service or campus use. Read more in the press release below. California is the US leader when it comes to EVs. In 2013, California had 70,000 battery electric and 104,000 plug-in hybrids. The state boasts almost half of the country's electric vehicles, thanks largely to state and local EV incentives that go beyond the federal tax rebate. California also leads the way in legislation, and nine other states have adopted California's ZEV mandate. Washington, Maryland, Georgia and DC also have their own EV incentives, while some utility companies also offer benefits for EV owners in other states. Still, EV sales have only made up about 0.7 percent of new vehicle sales in 2014. Read more at the US Energy Information Administration website. Toyota will be using landfill gas to help power its Kentucky manufacturing facility. Beginning in 2015, Toyota's Georgetown assembly plant will use electricity converted from landfill-sourced methane gas from Waste Services of the Bluegrass. It will provide enough energy to produce 10,000 vehicles each year. Plus it diverts methane - a greenhouse gas - from entering the atmosphere and helps improve the local air quality. Learn more in the video or Toyota's press release below. Mazda has developed a plant-derived bioplastic for making exterior and interior parts. The dyed plastic doesn't require painting, and it reduces petroleum consumption and carbon emissions in the manufacturing process. The bioplastic will be used for interior parts in the all-new MX-5 before being put into use on the exterior of future vehicles. Mazda will display prototype parts at the Eco-Products 2014 exhibit in Tokyo. Read more in the press release below. Acciona will enter the first-ever zero-emissions vehicle (pictured) to compete in the Dakar Rally. The vehicle uses an electric motor and lithium ion batteries, as well as solar panels to power telemetry and security systems. The Dakar Rally will take place from January 4 through 17 through Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. See Acciona's Dakar EV in the video and read more in the press release below.
Toyota sells six of 10 of hybrids in California
Wed, 31 Jul 2013In an apparent shot back at Ford's increasing market share of electrified vehicles and claim that it accepts more Prius trade-ins for its own hybrids than any other car, Toyota has flexed a muscle and played the numbers game to put the Blue Oval in its place.
Leaning on its hybrid market dominance in California, the Japanese automaker stated that six out of 10 hybrids sold in the Golden State are Toyota models. And it keeps coming: Year-to-date through May 2013, Toyota sold five times more hybrids than Ford. One of every two hybrids in California is a Prius model. In addition, Toyota notes that it has sold 1.5 million Prius vehicles in the US, 90-percent of which are still on the road today.
