2002 Toyota Rav4 L 4x4

Mileage: 73,XXX

Engine: 4 cylinder,  gasoline, 2.0 Litre

Automatic Transmission, 4 wheel drive

Power windows, door locks, AM/FM radio with CD and cassette player

Remote starter with one key chain remote and one key

Tow package that has never been used

Technically a total of three owners but the first two were a senior citizen husband and then wife after husband passed

The car was seldom driven in rain, ice or snow  and never been in an accident (possible fender bender in parking lot while parked...i cannot remember)

Interior condition:  Very nice for a 10 year old car!  Seats are clean and stain free, carpeting is stain free but could eventually use a cleaning. Dashboard heater-a/c vent on the driver's side has somehow been broken and could use replacing but is not completely necessary.  Also some slight damage to the dashboard on the passenger side due to a radio bracket that was attached and then accidentally broke off leaving a couple of  very small marks(pics coming later)

Exterior condition:  Nice condition with no major signs of rust(possibly some small nicks with rust that has never amounted to anything).  Front lower portion of bumper has a crack(see picture) and the luggage rack on top has a piece of molding on the rear portion of the passenger side that is missing.  The paint has some very light scratches and chips as with most older vehicles
The under carriage is very clean for a 10 year old Michigan vehicle...very minor degree of rust but nothing like you will see on a lot of vehicles that go through harsh winters

Any questions, please ask here.

Thanks for looking

Just want to let it be known that the wet spot on the ground in one or two of the pictures is from another vehicle and not the Rav4 so please disregard

This map reveals the cleanest vehicles based on location

Thu, Apr 28 2016

Naysayers love to point out how dirty the electricity grid mix is when it comes to charging electric vehicles. Curmudgeons are eager to jump into any conversation about EVs to enlighten the lucky listeners about how plug-in cars contribute to pollution, sometimes even throwing in a dash of climate-change denial for good measure. (Thanks, buddy. Pray, tell me more about the plight of oppressed SUV owners.) Unless someone buys an EV just because they think they're cool (which, yeah, they often are), they probably have at least a passable understanding of their environmental pros and cons. As many EV owners are already aware, location has a lot to do with any particular plug-in car's carbon footprint. Still, there's always more to know, and knowledge is not a bad thing, especially if one uses it to do the right thing. That's why this handy-dandy map from Carnegie Mellon University is so interesting. CMU researchers have compiled information about the lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions of various EVs based on where they're charged, as compared to gasoline-powered vehicles. The researchers looked at the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt, and Prius Plug-In Hybrid versus the gasoline-dependent Toyota Prius hybrid and the stop-start-equipped Mazda3 with i-ELOOP and compared grams of CO2 emitted per mile. CMU takes into account the grid mix, ambient temperature, and driving patterns. CMU takes into account the grid mix based on county, as well as ambient temperature and driving patterns in terms of miles traveled on the highway or in the city. For instance, if you drive a Nissan Leaf in urban areas of California, Texas, or Florida, your carbon footprint is lower than it would be if you were driving a standard Toyota Prius. However, if you charge your Leaf in the Midwest or the South, for the most part, you've got a larger carbon footprint than the Prius. If you live in the rural Midwest, you'd probably even be better off driving a Mazda3. Throughout the country, the Chevrolet Volt has a larger carbon footprint than the Toyota Prius, but a smaller one than the Mazda3 in a lot of urban counties in the US. The Prius and Prius Plug-In are relatively equal across the US. Having trouble keeping it straight? That's not surprising. The comparisons between plug-in and gasoline vehicles are much more nuanced than the loudest voices usually let on.

Toyota GT86 GT4 racer is ready for UK competition

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

It's about time we saw someone cook up a legitimate race version of the delectable Toyota GT86, and now it looks as if GPRM has done just that. The Buckingham-based race engineering team has built the creation you see here, complete with a turbocharged 2.0-liter, direct-injection four-cylinder boxer cooked up by Nicholson McLaren Engines. The team says the new mill delivers between 360 and 400 horsepower to the rear wheels depending on final testing, which is a sight bit more than the 197 horses the naturally aspirated stock mill offers.
The car will compete in GT4 events, including the Avon Tyres British GT Championship. Technically, the GPRM effort isn't factory backed, but the team says the effort "has the blessing of Toyota Great Britain." How could it not? You can check out the brief press release below below, and be sure to take a closer look at the machine in our gallery.

Toyota officially outsells GM, VW through first three quarters

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

When it comes to global vehicle deliveries, the term "Big Three" doesn't apply to Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, but instead Toyota, GM and Volkswagen - in that order - through the third quarter of 2013. Toyota sold 7.41-million vehicles through the third quarter and is on track to deliver more vehicles this year than GM and VW, which sold 7.25-million and 7.03-million, respectively, through the same period, Bloomberg reports.
During the third quarter, from July to September, Toyota's 2.5-million deliveries helped to push it higher than its closest competitors this year. In that period, GM delivered 2.4-million vehicles while VW posted 2.33-million deliveries.
Part of the reason behind Toyota's and other Japanese automakers resurgence globally is the weakened yen, which can be attributed to policies made by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe since he took office in December 2012. Many refer to those monetary easing policies as 'Abenomics,' which has led some, such as Ford, to call Japan a currency manipulator and is a big reason why the US is lobbying to oppose Japan's entry into the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
