Prime RAV4 GEN4 3sgte turbo FOR SALE !!!!!!!!!

My personal Prime RAV4 GEN4 3sgte turbo is now for sale.  This is the ultimate all around utility RAV4 with 150% more power than stock.  Everything listed below is brand new with the exception of the super low mile GEN4 motor from Japan.  This RAV4 is one of a kind.  We will never build another one to this spec.  The brake setup alone took over three days to complete.  Specs below:

1.    Prime Performance GEN4 swap with custom downpipe, intercooler setup, custom 12” radiator slim fans, intake setup and side exit Borla exhaust.
2.    Brand new 18X9” XXR 527 Chromium finish with Michelin Pilot All Season 245/50/18 tires
3.    Custom Big Brake Upgrade – Lexus LS430 brake rotors, Toyota Avalon dual piston calipers and 95 MR2 turbo Stoptech high friction brake pads.  The car stops like it just hit a brick wall.
4.    AEM Tru Boost electronic boost controller set to 15 psi.  It is hilariously fast for a little SUV.
5.    The car makes around 300 flywheel hp.  With AWD drivetrain losses it is around 220 awhp.  No it has not been dynoed.  It was built as my daily and I don’t care what the exact hp figure is.
6.    AEM Wideband.
7.    No CEL codes.
8.    RUST FREE BODY
9.    All new upgraded engine mounts, new sway bar end links.
10.    1999 model year Hunter Green 5 spd AWD (all wheel drive) with the     revised interior – 3 point steering wheel, great condition interior and average body.  It does have 190k miles on the chassis but the motor has around 20k.

Asking $8500 obo.  I am not interested in trades.  Please feel free to email with questions at primeperformanceauto@gmail.com or text/call 201-919-3970.  Thank you for looking.  Videos can be seen on youtube by typing in "Prime Rav4 GEN4"

Toyota preparing Scion-badged Nissan Juke fighter

Thu, Aug 20 2015

As we've said on multiple occasions, the sub-compact crossover market is The Next Big Thing™. With that in mind, Toyota's lack of a competitor to the new breed of super-small, super-cute crossovers like the Nissan Juke, Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3, and Jeep Renegade has been especially glaring. But as these photos show, the hole in the Japanese giant's lineup could soon be filled. Our spies captured this heavily disguised prototype testing in the deserts of the American southwest, signaling that Toyota is preparing to wade into the Nissan Juke's space by offering a tiny, but very heavily styled crossover of its own. Our spy photographers call the cute ute's look "aggressive," citing inspiration from the Toyota C-HR concept from the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Based on the meaty wheels and tires and what we can see through the camo, we're inclined to agree with their assessment. Underneath that sheet metal, we're told the new car rides on Toyota's new NGA platform. Like the Juke, a four-cylinder engine and continuously variable transmission will be on offer, although there's no telling whether Toyota will follow its rival's enthusiast beat and offer a six-speed manual version. What we find most interesting about all of this conjecture, though, is what it means for Scion, rather than its parent. Introducing a small crossover is the next logical step for Toyota's troubled sub-brand, and would serve as a delectable followup to the recently released iA sedan and iM hatch. Such a three-model lineup, when combined with the enthusiast-oriented FR-S, would transform Scion into a force to be reckoned with in the entry level space. Supporting this conjecture isn't too hard, either. As the spy photos show, this camo'd tester is being supported by a xB, the closest thing Scion (or its parent company, for that matter) have to a sub-compact CUV. It's unclear just when this new model will make its debut, but if Toyota hopes to make inroads into this popular new segment, this CUV will need to arrive before its extremely competent rivals can establish a solid foothold. Toyota hits 10 million Camry models sold in US

Tue, 02 Jul 2013

This year marks 30 years of sales for the Toyota Camry in the US, and in that time, it has amassed more than 10 million sales. In its first year on the market, the Camry sold 52,651 units, but it has gone on to become the best-selling car in the US for the last 11 years.
Toyota says that "virtually all" current Camry models sold in the US are made here, and three-quarters of all Camry contents are domestically sourced. Scroll down for the official press release from Toyota, and be sure to check out our gallery of images showing every model year and bodystyle of the Camry since it first went on sale in 1983.

Toyota finds 10% MPG improvement in hybrid PCU

Wed, May 21 2014

Keeping up its from-all-angles approach to efficiency, Toyota has found yet another way to eke out up to ten percent more precious MPGs in its hybrid vehicles, this time electronically. The automaker has announced the development of new silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductors for use in power control units, which it will begin testing on Japanese roads within the next year. The PCU using the silicon carbide compound offers less electrical resistance, which improves efficiency when passing current between the battery and electric motor. It also loses less power after shutting off, and can operate at a higher frequency. The net power loss of the new PCU is just one-tenth of the current silicone-only version (the latter accounting for 20 percent of total electrical power loss in today's hybrids). The result, so far, is a claimed five-percent improvement in fuel economy in test vehicles, with the potential of ten percent by the time the new SiC power semiconductor comes to market. Additionally, the carbide wafers allow for smaller a power module, coil and capacitor, thus allowing the entire PCU to be 80 percent smaller (see the side-by-side comparison in the accompanying photo, which you can click to enlarge). We've got a while to wait before we start to see the carbide technology to start making a real-world impact. Toyota aims to begin using the SiC units in 2020. By then, with improvements in the company's other key efficiency factors - engine technology and aerodynamics - cars like the Prius will likely see significant gains in fuel economy. Read more in the press release below. Toyota Develops 'Diamond-like' Computer Chips to Boost Hybrid Mileage May 20, 2014 Toyota City, Japan – Toyota is using one of the hardest materials in nature after diamonds to develop a semiconductor chip it hopes will improve the fuel efficiency of its hybrids, such as the Prius, by as much at 10 percent. The company and its partners announced today that they have developed a silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor for use in automotive power control units. Toyota plans to begin test-driving vehicles with the technology on public roads in Japan within a year. The chips, made from carbide - one of the hardest materials in nature, theoretically have superior characteristics such as one-tenth the electrical power loss and 10 times the drive frequency. Toyota said the chips would also allow it to reduce the size of current automotive power control units by 80 percent.
