It was involved on an accident when we bought it to the front left corner that didn't affect the engine and electric motor. You can tell the area was re-painted. Not a showroom car, has its scratches from a normal used 12 years car. We are driving the car and doing road/city drive, computer testings, to make sure is 100% right and defect free and that will pass state inspection. We have our own garage. You can buy with confidence.AC blows ice cold air. Everything seems to be in good working order. The gray spot on its side was a dent, it was primed to avoid rusting. 2001 2002 and 2003 Prius are the exact same car."

An amazing economic and yet peppy car. Runs smooth and very quiet. I have some experience with Prius and I would recommend it for who has to  commutes to work  for the great gas mileage it delivers , our own at the house same year makes 47 MPG average!

Prius dos not have a transmission, serpentine belt, timing belt, starter or alternator and also it has a great durability on brakes since most of the effort is made by the regenerative braking at the electric motor.

Battery concerns? There were 1.3 million of this cars sold so long gone are the days that you have to go to a dealer to get any parts. Junk yard sells them at an average price of $1000, plus 2~3 hour labor to replace it ( or go to youtube to learn how to do it yourself ). Nowadays costs the same as having to buy an used transmission for a regular car. Also the battery has 38 cells that allows for replacing just of the defective cell that you can buy at ebay for $40 !!!  There are many reports of these cars going beyond 200,000 miles with its original battery and taxis going beyond 350,000 miles!

The car is in Templeton MA. Winner bidder: $500 on Paypal  in 24 hr. and the balance cash in person in 3 days. Questions 978 870 zero zero 33  or  worcmg ( at ) Hotmail  ( dot ) com

Watch Congress sample Toyota's i-Road 3-wheeler concept

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

Toyota brought its new i-Road, a three-wheeled, all-electric low-speed vehicle that debuted in 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show, to the Capitol for some of our elected officials to test out. As easy as it is to forget that politicians are people, too, it was refreshing to see a human side to many of them as they zipped about one of the Capitol's many meeting rooms.
We'd say their reactions were surprisingly positive. Of course, some were just down there because Toyota is a big presence in their respective districts, but the bulk of the senators and representatives seemed like they just wanted to zip about the makeshift indoor course on the leaning trike.
Take a look below at the video from Bloomberg.

Behold the mad genius of the Ferrari-powered Toyota 86

Thu, Jul 28 2016

Ryan Tuerck's latest project, a Toyota 86 with the F136 V8 engine from a Ferrari 458, has to be one of craziest projects ever envisioned. While the finished project will be nothing short of extraordinary, Tuerck reveals some of the finer details on fitting a large Italian engine into a small Japanese car. One of the most difficult tasks with the engine swap is getting the V8 to fit in the 86's compact engine compartment. Since the V8 is taller and longer than the stock 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, Tuerck and his team have had to do a lot of cutting and fabricating. Tuerck also revealed that the vehicle wouldn't be used in competition, which allows the team to go beyond the rulebook in terms of body strengthening and custom components. There's still a lot of work to be done, but Tuerck claims the vehicle will be ready by October. Donut Media, the YouTube channel that is covering the build, promises to cover every aspect of the project including the first start, which should be coming soon. 2020 Ford Explorer vs 3-row crossover rivals: How they compare on paper

Thu, Jan 10 2019

The 2020 Ford Explorer has finally landed, and if history serves as an indicator, it should be bigger than sliced bread. And people sure love themselves some sliced bread. This new Explorer may look familiar on the outside, but beneath the skin is a radically new rear-drive platform related to the Ford Mustang (as opposed to a front-drive platform related to the Ford Taurus and a Volvo from the 1990s). Turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines now exclusively rest under its hood, which as you'll see below, both better anything its competitors offer. Ah, but if you're curious to know how the new 2020 Explorer compares to its various three-row family crossover rivals, take a look at the chart below where we stack it up against the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse, 2019 Honda Pilot, 2020 Hyundai Palisade, 2019 Subaru Ascent and 2019 Toyota Highlander. There are others of course (Mazda CX-9, Dodge Durango, GMC Acadia, VW Atlas), but we only had so much room on the chart, and these were the newest and/or most likely to be cross-shopped with the new Explorer. Engine specs and towing Although the Traverse's V6 just nips it on horsepower, the 2020 Explorer's base 2.3-liter "EcoBoost" turbocharged four-cylinder engine smokes it on torque. Therefore, "best-in-class" power seems like a fair claim from Ford. That there's also a 365-horsepower turbo V6 available, plus a hybrid and even-more powerful ST model on the way shows that Ford isn't kidding around under the hood. Curb weight also seems competitive for the segment. In terms of drivetrain, the Explorer is the only member of this particular group to come standard with rear-wheel drive (2.3-liter only). The Durango is the only other three-row, non-luxury crossover to do so. This is significant for two reasons: First, you could potentially do a power slide in an Explorer. Second, and more important, those in the Snowbelt will have to opt for all-wheel drive (it comes standard with the 3.0-liter). By contrast, a set of winter tires will probably do the job just fine if you want to save some money and gas by sticking with its rivals' standard front-wheel drive. Well, except for the Subaru Ascent — that's standard with AWD. In terms of towing, the Explorer takes the cake with as much as 5,300 pounds for the four-cylinder and 5,600 pounds for the V6. Everything else tops out at 5,000, though again, the Durango is capable of besting them all thanks to its Hemi V8 engine option.
