This is a Beautiful One Owner 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS Hatchback! We took this vehicle on trade from a Local Chicago Radio Talk Show Host. Originally it was a Stock Toyota Matrix XRS. The Radio Station He worked for Paid A Company Called Kaotic Customs To Do All The Professional Upgrades. All The Custom Upgrades are listed below. This Car was also very well maintained by the Local Toyota Dealer and the Clutch was replaced around 75k Miles. Over all you will not find a nice Toyota Matrix XRS like this anywhere! It's all ready to go and doesn't need a thing. The only imperfections on this vehicle is that there is a minor scuff on the front driver side of the bumper right beneath the driver side headlight. We never repainted the bumper because it will be hard to match that custom paint job. The windshield also has a minor crack as well. We can replace the windshield if the reserve is met. It will only cost us $130 to put a new windshield. The tires along with the brakes and rotors are in great condition and all of the Power options work fine. The Leather Seats are also in Mint Condition as well! The Exterior is in really nice condition for the year and mileage as well!

Fri, Nov 15 2019

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder. First, they talk about driving the 2020 Bentley Continental GT V8 First Edition, followed by the 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road. Then they revive a format called "This or That," discussing the Jeep Wrangler vs. Gladiator, Subaru Forester vs. Outback, Mustang vs. Camaro vs. Challenger, and whether they'd rather spend $25,000 on a new or vintage car. They've got an update on a previous Spend My Money segment, and, finally, they help another listener pick a daily driver. Toyota unintended acceleration lawsuit settled for $16M

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

Slowly, the many loose threads still dangling after the unintended acceleration issue Toyota faced a few years ago are being resolved. The Orange County District Attorney's office was believed to be the first DA's office to take Toyota to court, its suit alleging that Toyota knew its cars had defects and continued to sell them. The suit sought to "permanently enjoin Toyota from continued unlawful, unfair, deceptive, and fraudulent business practices as it pertains to both consumers and competitors" and asked for $2,500 "for every violation of the Unfair Business Practices Act," plus costs.
That suit has now been settled, Toyota - without admitting fault or wrongdoing - agreeing to pay $16 million to the county. Half of the money will go to the Orange County Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership, another four million dollars to the OC DA's office to investigate economic crime, the remaining four million being used to pay for the case.
