1976 Fj40 Bj40 Toyota Land Cruiser *rare Diesel* Power Steering on 2040-cars
Miami, Florida, United States
|
This is a beautiful dune-beige, rare, diesel Land Cruiser that has
been kept in excellent condition. There are low miles on this cruiser,
and the B diesel engine is known to easily go to 500k, so lots of life
left. The engine runs quiet and strong, as you can hear on the video I
have at the bottom of the page. This one has the hard to find original
roof rack and ladder as well as the overhead compartment with radio,
equalizer, speakers and storage space. As an extra bonus, this cruiser has Power Steering. Everything works correctly including transmission, clutch, brakes, doors, windows, wipers, lights, 4X4, instrument cluster, glow plugs, choke, leather seats, radio and speakers. There are no leaks or drips. The tires, exhaust, and shocks are all new. This Land Cruiser comes with the roof rack and ladder, which is quite hard to find. This has been inspected by a certified mechanic, and has passed all tests perfectly. This head turning cruiser has absolutely no rust or bondo. It has no dents or dings. A
diesel Land Cruiser is an excellent investment that will only increase
in value because of how rare they are in the US, and how reasonably
priced this one is for what you're getting. I can have AC installed for $1,200 and heat for $500. We can have disk brakes installed for an additional $700. *We have the experience of importing over 50 Toyota Land Cruisers into the United States and Canada* The Land Cruiser is located in Costa Rica, FREE shipping to Miami or Houston. Buyer pays $700 import fee. We give a 30 day warranty, for all of our vehicles. In Costa Rica quality Land Cruisers are few and far between. We don't offer just any old Land Cruiser, we have only the highest quality cruisers. See video below: |

Toyota's Texas move could boost state's economy by $7.2B in 10 years
Thu, 15 May 2014They say everything is bigger in Texas, and apparently that includes the Toyota's effect on the economy. The giant Japanese automaker's new headquarters in Plano, TX, will add an estimated $7.2 billion to the state over the next 10 years, according to a new study commissioned by the city and cited by Bloomberg.
The benefits appear to be an absolute steal compared to the direct incentives that Plano and the state are giving Toyota. The report finds that by the time the automaker's campus is complete in 2018, it could have 3,650 full-time workers there at an average salary of $104,000. The city has prepared $6.75 million in grants, plus property tax discounts, according to Bloomberg. In addition to that, the state is offering the business $40 million in incentives from its Texas Enterprise Fund. This is still a fraction of what Toyota is estimated to bring in.
Toyota announced in April that it would move its US operations to Plano after being headquartered in California since 1957. The move affects thousands of employees from the sales and engineering divisions. The first workers will arrive there this fall, but Toyota will eventually have a whole campus in Plano by late 2017. The move is expected to save it huge amounts in taxation and offer employees a lower cost of living. Toyota North America CEO Jim Lentz also says that the Texas location puts the headquarters closer to more of the business' factories in the south. Texas certainly appears to be showing it some southern hospitality.
Toyota highlights JDM Mark X with special Yellow Label edition
Fri, 05 Sep 2014Never heard of the Toyota Mark X? That's because the Japanese automaker only sells it in its home market (and in China as the Reiz). It's a rear-drive (or all-wheel-drive) sports sedan about the size of a Lexus IS, whose existence is probably why Toyota will never bring the Mark X to North America. The current model has been on the market since 2009, but Toyota is rolling out a series of updates - including the new Yellow Label model pictured here.
Available on the 250G, 250G Four and 250G S trim levels, the Yellow Label gets a special shade of Awaken Yellow paint (though it can be had in black, white or silver as well), with an interior decked out in either yellow or black. It also gets piano lacquer trim, yellow stitching, pink gold accents, special tread plates and other interior equipment upgrades, as well as a unique set of alloys. All of which makes the Toyota Mark X Yellow Label perfect for recreating scenes from Kill Bill without the need to squeeze into yellow leathers. (In fact we wouldn't be surprised to see Toyota doing just that for a promo clip.)
Power comes from a 2.5-liter V6 (and not the larger 3.5 available on the 350S model) channeled through a six-speed automatic to either the rear wheels or all four. Pricing ranges between 2.8 and 3.1 million yen (~$26-30k), representing a premium of about 106k yen ($1k) over non-yellow models. Toyota operates four distinct dealer networks in Japan, and the Mark X is sold through Toyopet stores.
Toyota pays tribute to Clarkson as he asks press, fans to leave producer alone
Fri, Mar 27 2015Say what you will about Toyota, but the Japanese brand was generally treated pretty well by former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson, despite the fact that the show routinely destroyed the brand's vehicles in each encounter. Whether it was a Hilux of some vintage, his attempts at annihilating a Kiwi Corolla (technically an Auris) or his honest attempts at reviews, the now-unemployed host has enjoyed quite a history with Toyota. It's hardly surprising, then, that the behemoth automaker's UK arm has put together a Clarkson montage, following the host's firing. There are some classic clips, featuring the vehicles mentioned above, as well as some amusing moments featuring the host himself. While the motoring world is still reacting to Clarkson's firing yesterday, the host has already broken his silence on the matter after getting intercepted by the media while cycling through London. "All I would like to say is, I wish people would leave Ois alone, because none of this is his fault," Clarkson told the media while deflecting questions about his potential arrest, the BBC reports. "Ois," of course, refers to Oisin Tymon, the Top Gear producer Clarkson physically and verbally assaulted following a full day of filming. Clarkson is a polarizing character, to be sure, but it takes a big person to make that kind of statement following his firing from a show he was so integral to. Check out Toyota's video up top, and then click over to the BBC to see Clarkson's comments to the media.
