Runs And Drives Great! - Gas Saver! Red! A/c, Automatic, New Usb Stereo on 2040-cars

Her name is Lucy and she is one tough babe. She enjoys long drives along the beach, breathing in the mountain air, road trips to anywhere, camping and taking good care of her driver.
Runs great, drives great. Don't
let the mileage fool you, you will watch the odometer go all the way back around to 0 on this
car and she'll keep going. These engines
last forever! This is a very reliable
car and I have most of the maintenance records.
The only other owner was my mother before she gave the car to me. Before clicking "buy now" please email me for my phone # to ask
questions or set up a time to view – TakeRedHome@aol.com. Feel free to bring your mechanic and inspect the car on-site or
we can take it to a mechanic of your choice. Again, the car is located in Westminster, CA. Here are the specifics on the car: 4 cylinder 4 speed Automatic transmission Clean title 247k miles
Pros: - Great gas mileage! - 26 City/33 HWY - Engine and transmission in great shape - Ice cold A/C! - Brand new CD/USB/AUX AM FM radio - hook your iPod up to it! - Polk Audio UV resistant speakers - K&N air filter (improved performance, never needs replacing) - Well maintained - The interior is very clean and in great shape. No tears in the seats - Just passed smog in July - Just did oil change
Cons: The car is in great working condition with normal wear and tear. Only minor inexpensive maintenance should be performed soon: - replace left outer CV boot - 2 new tires - alignment
Other negatives to note about the car: - There is a slight oil leak which will take some labor to repair as it's between the engine and tranny. The leak is not bad at all, just a drop or 2 per day. As long as you continue to change the oil regularly, every 3K miles or so, you will not get low on oil. But if you don't want oil on your driveway, you'll want it fixed. - Rear driver side fender bent slightly. This happened shortly after buying the car in ’93 and it's not causing any problems, it's merely aesthetics. No frame damage. - Rear bumper paint is peeling. - Brakes squeak briefly sometimes when cold. - Every once in a while the power steering pump hums slightly so it will eventually need to be replaced down the road but most likely not for a while. Mechanic couldn't couldn't say when, could be a year or 2 or longer. The power steering works great now and the pump does not need replacing at this time. - The dome light works, it just does not come on when
driver’s side door is open, but it comes on when the other doors are open. If you need the light on with driver’s door
open, simply switch it to “on”.
There you have it. Honestly, this is a great car that won’t let you down. If you take good care of her like I did, she will take good care of you. |

Toyota's Copen GR Sport is a tiny, racy roadster
Tue, Oct 15 2019In its home market, Toyota has a designated sport brand called GR, which is meant to invoke Toyota's Gazoo Racing division. It has three tiers of sportiness: the entry-level GR Sport, GR, and all-out range-topping GRMN. Ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota announced it is adding to its GR Sport lineup a new mini convertible called the Copen GR Sport. Toyota pulled the Copen from Daihatsu's bank of cool minicars. Diahatsu announced its own Copen GR Sport at the Tokyo Auto Salon in early 2019. Now Toyota will sell its own hotted-up version of the tiny roadster. Toyota Gazoo Racing tweaked the new model and gave it sportier equipment and a visual update inside and out. First, let's talk basic stats. The Copen GR Sport weighs roughly 2,000 pounds and has a 0.66-liter turbocharged engine that makes 63 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 68 lb-ft of torque at 3,200 rpm. It's front-wheel drive and is available with a five-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with seven-speed Super Active Shift and paddle shifters. Toyota left the powertrain alone and chose to focus on body rigidity and suspension tuning. The Copen GR Sport has specific shock absorbers, updated spring rates, retuned power steering, a new front brace, and a redesigned center brace. Toyota made the Copen a bit more visually aggressive as well. It has a unique front bumper with side air intakes, a larger front grille, and a rear bumper with a new diffuser look. It also comes with matte gray BBS forged-aluminum wheels, LED headlights, LED fog lights, and LED taillights. GR Sport emblems on the front, side, and rear assure passers-by this is not a regular Copen. In total, eight exterior colors are available, as are multiple color options for the roof. The black interior was spruced up with Recaro sport seats with GR embroidery, a MOMO leather-wrapped steering wheel with the GR emblem, piano black accents, and a new GR instrument cluster with red accents. Unfortunately, the pint-sized roadster is only available in Japan.
Autoblog Minute: VW Q3 financial woes, 2015 Tokyo Motor Show
Fri, Oct 30 2015Consumer Reports pulls its Tesla recommendation, the U.S. Copyright Office offers a ruling affecting car owners, VW gets hit hard with third-quarter losses, and lots of exciting news from Tokyo. Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Consumer Reports pulls its Tesla recommendation, the U.S. copyright office offers a ruling that affects car owners and gear heads, VW gets hit hard with third-quarter losses, and lots of exciting news from Tokyo. I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. After a week away testing vehicles for Autoblog's Tech of the Year award, we're back in the office to recap the week in automotive news. [00:00:30] One of the things you might have missed was Consumer Reports pulling its recommendation of Tesla's Model S sedan. The blemish for Tesla comes after a tally of reviews from customer surveys. The most common problem areas for the Model S as cited by survey takers included: the drivetrain, power equipment, charging equipment, body and sunroof squeaks, rattles, and leaks. So lots of stuff. Though they could not ignore a score of "worse-than-average", Consumer Reports still [00:01:00] highlighted the fact that the Model S was "the best performing car" they've ever tested. Telsa CEO Elon Musk took to social media to defend his sedans saying: "Consumer Reports reliability survey includes a lot of early production cars. Already addressed in new cars." And, "Tesla gets top rating of any company in service. Most important, CR says 97% of owners expect their next car to be a Tesla (the acid test)." In Financial news, Volkswagen took a hit and reported an operating loss of [00:01:30] $3.84 billion. This is the first such loss for VW in 15 years. Toyota reclaimed the crown as the world's largest automaker as well. It's important that it's not all doom and gloom for VW though in Q3. Sales revenues were up and the company's automotive division boasts $30 billion dollars in liquid assets. It's a sizable war chest that will no doubt come in handy, as the company has yet to feel the full brunt of the diesel emissions scandal. Good news for gear heads. The US copyright office [00:02:00] ruled in favor of mechanics and car owners by granting an exception to existing copyright law. The law was originally meant to prevent software pirating and bootlegging of Hollywood movies.
Toyota confirms C-HR crossover to debut at Geneva
Tue, Oct 20 2015With the compact crossover segment booming with new entries, Toyota soon intends to burst into the popular market with a production version of the C-HR concept. The rakishly styled, little CUV will show off its final face at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show next March, and European sales will start before summer, Autocar reports. Customers in the US will likely get to drive the angular model, too. The C-HR concept's chiseled shape is expected to make the transition to the road largely unaltered. According to Autocar, customers reportedly really dig the razor-sharp look versus a more conventional CUV design. A hybrid is also expected to be included in the production powertrain lineup, but non-electrified options could be available, too. The Japanese automaker last displayed the C-HR at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show. Underneath the avant-garde shape, the Toyota New Global Architecture provided the underpinnings, and a hybrid powertrain was there for propulsion. The concept's general design idea was actually the revival of a three-door crossover from the 2014 Paris Motor Show. In addition, the production C-HR is expected eventually to arrive in the US but likely wearing a Scion badge. Spy shots highly suggest that a crossover is already under development, and the entry would give the division a much-needed challenger to the Nissan Juke, Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3, and plenty of others. Plus, the brand is keeping it absolutely no secret that a third, new model is on way to join the iA and iM.
