The car has approximately 110,900 miles BUT a brand new engine was put in this car by the local Toyota dealership in 2010 and the engine currently has approximately 45,000 miles on it.  The cost of the new engine and labor was over $8,000.  New brakes were also put on the later part of 2010.

This car has been my baby for about 4 1/2 years and has been well taken care of.  This car has never given me any issues since I have owned it....other than when the serpentine belt had came off causing the engine to overheat. The engine would not have been damaged had it not been for the bad decision to try to drive it a little further when I should have stopped. That is why I had a brand new Toyota engine installed rather than trying to find a used one.  The engine is no longer under warranty but I will provide copies of the documents to the winning bidder at the time of pick up.

Recently the air bag light starting coming on but I don't believe that there are any problems just something in the wiring causing the light to come on.

New battery was installed in the car about 3 months ago.

This car runs excellent and very smooth.  There is a very small dent or buckle on the passenger side back fender from where someone hit it with a shopping cart in a parking lot.  It is small and hard to see, can only be seen at certain angles. Please see the pic included with the auction. The body of the car is in great condition and only shows normal wear and tear for a used vehicle. There has also been some front end suspension that was replaced in 2011 and copies of all documents will also be included to the winning bidder.  The driver seat is starting to tear on the bottom edge from getting in and out of the vehicle, please see pic.

The 6 speed manual transmission is very fun to drive!

This beautiful Celica would make a great Sweet 16 or Graduation gift!

Please feel free to email me with any questions.  If you prefer to speak over the phone or send a text please message me and I will provide you with my phone number.

This vehicle is being sold as is.

$500.00 non refundable deposit is due with 48 hours of the end of the auction.

Local pick up only, no shipping available

Actual mileage will be different when the car is picked up because I am still driving it to and from work.

I currently still owe on the vehicle so when I will have to pay the balance off at the bank when the car is paid in full.  If you have any quesions please feel free to contact me.  Buyer will be responsible for having their own tags to drive the car back.

Toyota headed to New York with 2014 Highlander, revised Scion tC

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

Toyota has given us a look at what the company will bring to the 2013 New York Auto Show. Visitors will get to set their eyes upon the all-new 2014 Highlander, and while the automaker isn't saying much in the way of details, we do get the teaser you see above (click to enlarge) to ponder on until next week. The image shows little more than a headlamp and a bit of grille, but gives us the flavor of what the crossover will bring to the table.
Scion, meanwhile, says it plans to dust off the "new 2014 tC sports coupe." While we don't imagine the two door will have undergone a major surgery, we're interested to see what the automaker has cooked up. The tC last endured a redesign in 2011. Check out the brief press release below and look for the vehicles to bow on March 28.Y

Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.

Toyota C-HR stays sharp from prototype to production

Tue, Mar 1 2016

Scion is dead. While the troubled brand was given 13 years to make a case for itself, it never quite succeeded. And that's a shame, because we're pretty confident that this, the production-spec Toyota C-HR would have been one of its biggest hits. Instead, when it arrives in the US, it will be as a Toyota... where it will still likely be a big hit. The new small CUV made its debut after literally years of teasing concepts, the most recent of which was shown late last year in Los Angeles, where it was badged as a Scion. After seeing that car, it's quite clear that Toyota has strained itself to translate its style to the real world. Up front, there's clear inspiration from the Toyota Auris/Scion iM. But aside from the front, the C-HR's biggest inspiration appears to be the Nissan Juke. View 14 Photos It's like Toyota has tried to go even further, though. Its wheel arches are flared even more aggressively and they feed into a strong character line on the lower portion of the doors. In back, Toyota's designers seem to have just rotated the Juke's taillights 180 degrees while they sit below an extremely fast rear window. Said window is integrated into today's latest design trend, a floating roof. Mechanically, the C-HR rides atop Toyota's New Global Architecture, which is Japan's answer to Volkswagen's MQB architecture. Power comes from a hybrid drivetrain, good for a relaxed 120 horsepower. If you don't want hybrid power, Toyota will sell the C-HR with the Euro-market Auris' turbo 1.2-liter engine, but we almost certainly won't see that here in the US. Instead, American drivers will probably be left with nothing but a 2.0-liter, naturally aspirated four-cylinder. That engine will be exclusively paired with a continuously variable transmission that sends power to either the front- or to all four wheels. So there's Juke inspiration, but not in the driving character. Toyota says it will build the C-HR Hybrid in Turkey. We don't know if that facility will handle US-market vehicles or just Europe, but we wouldn't be surprised to see additional facilities come online to produce this stylish little bugger.
