1999 Toyota Camry LE Sedan 4-Door 3.0L 6 Cylinder Leather Seats Beige 1 Owner No Reserve

This car is a one owner (non-smoker) 1999 Toyota Camry 6 Cylinder LE Sedan.
It has leather seats.
All safety inspection records are available so you can see that the mileage is accurate.
All maintenance records are available.
The car passed the Va. safety inspection, and the inspection is good until January 2015.
Please see the picture of the sticker that was on the car when I purchased it for more details about the car.

This car is being sold As Is.
Until recently, I drove the car daily for commuting.
About a week ago, the car began running rough at speeds around 48 mph.
I took the car to the dealership and told them the car was running rough. They did a  24 multi-point inspection. See the scan of the inspection for the problems mentioned on the inspection. They recommended replacing the oxygen sensors and the fuel injectors.

Here are the problems that I am aware of:

About 2 years ago, the city trash truck dumped our trashcan on one side of our driveway and then proceeded to hit my car which was parked on the street on the other side of the driveway. Please see pictures for the damage to the car on the bumper and the driver's side of the car. The truck also knocked off the door that goes over the gas cap, but the gas cap is still intact. The remote fuel lid release button still works and it pops open the metal covering over the gas cap. The accident didn't affect the way the car drives. (See pictures.)

The "check engine" light is on. The diagnosis shows the oxygen sensors need to be replaced.

The rear struts need to be replaced.

There is a crack very low on the windshield. It is low enough that it does not affect the safety inspection. It has passed the safety inspection multiple times since that crack happened. The windshield also has two "stars" from rocks hitting it. One has been filled and the other has not.

The cassette player does not work.

The car has an oil leak. The leak is slow enough that I never have to add oil to the car between oil changes. The oil has been changed on a regular basis.

The passenger side mirror is fixed. You cannot adjust it. When I first got the car 15 years ago, I hit the trash can with the side mirror while backing out of the driveway. I replaced the mirror, but not the whole mechanism.

There are cracks in the leather on the driver's side of the car. There is one small crack in the leather on the dashboard on the passenger side. (See pictures.)

There is a small dent on the roof near the back windshield where a tree branch fell on it. (See picture.)

There is some bicycle chain grease on the back seat.

This car is being sold As Is.

Sunday Drive: Big debuts from the Big Apple dominated the headlines

Sun, Apr 1 2018

New York Auto Show week has come and gone, and, not surprisingly, the week's biggest bits of news came from the halls of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC. Our favorite debut from New York was the Lincoln Aviator, a sharp-dresses crossover that looks lovely inside and out, and sits on underpinnings at least partly derived from the Ford Mustang. While the Aviator may have caught our attention, it wasn't the most popular vehicle debut from New York, at least when judging by the number of page views here on Autoblog. That distinction goes to the 2019 Toyota RAV4, and we're hardly surprised. The RAV4 is the most popular compact crossover in America (in fact it's the most popular vehicle that isn't a pickup truck), and the 2019 version looks like a radical departure from the model that came before. We can't wait to drive the thing. Midsize sedans may not be the darling of the family car set, that honor taken over by the aforementioned crossover, but they still sell in large enough numbers that a brand-new model catches our attention. Such is the case with the 2019 Nissan Altima. We broke down the specs of the Altima and compared Nissan's bread-and-butter sedan with its biggest rivals. And finally, we got some official figures for the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt. It'll cost a cool $12,000 over the cost of a Mustang GT, and will benefit from a 480-horsepower, 420-pound-foot version of Ford's excellent 5.0-liter V8 engine. As always, stay tuned this week for all the latest automotive news that's fit to print. 2018 New York Auto Show Mega Photo Gallery | Start spreading the news 2019 Toyota RAV4 actually looks pretty cool 2019 Nissan Altima vs Honda Accord vs Toyota Camry: How they compare 2019 Mustang Bullitt orders open as Ford reveals price and horsepower Image Credit: Drew Angerer/Getty New York Auto Show Ford Lincoln Nissan Toyota Coupe Crossover SUV Sedan 2018 new york auto show

Ex-Toyota Bill Reinert still in favor of hybrids, against EVs

Mon, Oct 6 2014

Former Toyota executive Bill Reinert is so unsold on electric vehicles as a viable advanced-powertrain option for future transportation that he has praised – gasp – Ford, for its downsized internal combustion engines. Reinert was a key player in developing Toyota's original Prius hybrid and, in an interview published in Yale University's Environment 360 blog, said a hybrid that gets 60 miles per gallon is superior to an electric vehicle. "And that is why you will be seeing more fuel cells in the future." – Bill Reinert Reinert went on to praise the advances that automakers have made in improving fuel economy of fossil fuel vehicles, specifically namechecking Ford and its three-cylinder Ecoboost engine. He also has good things to say about both hydrogen fuel-cell electric technology as well as natural gas vehicles, but admits that limited fueling infrastructure will keep those types of vehicles in the margins for the near future. He also says that hydrogen vehicles aren't that great yet but that, "When most [manufacturers] investigate the two technologies [H2 and EVs], they see that FVCs offer more room for performance improvement and cost reduction potential. And that is why you will be seeing more fuel cells in the future." As far as pure electric, Reinert says lithium-ion batteries have "tremendous shortcomings" and talks about battery degradation, substandard performance in hot weather and, of course, limited single-charge driving range. He also says that people need to factor in the environmental impact of producing electricity for the grid to fully gauge how environmentally beneficial EVs can be. We'd like to take him and Tesla Motors Chief Elon Musk to what we think would be a spirited lunch. You can read the whole interview with Reinert here.

Toyota offering $4.2 billion in stock to fund Mirai, new hybrids

Thu, Apr 30 2015

Toyota president Akio Toyoda told a group of investors that the hydrogen fuel-cell Mirai is the car for the next century. To help pay for it, Toyota is courting investors who aren't only after short-term capital gains but want to help the company long term. It will offer up to 500 billion yen ($4.2 billion US) worth of special shares in Japan that cost 20-percent more than common stock and that can't be sold for five years. The upshot is that the shares will pay a higher dividend, still have voting rights, and they can be converted to common stock or sold back to Toyota at the issue price. The investors won't lose money. Called "Model AA" shares in honor of the company's first passenger car, the sale would help Toyota hold onto capital while it works on the next - expensive - developments. The sale would be broken up into tranches, with 50 million potentially on offer this year after the annual shareholder's meeting. Successive sales would take place no more than once a year. The initial dividend is set at 0.5 percent and capped at 2.5 percent, which even at its lowest rate would beat that of a standard deposit account in a Japanese bank. At the moment, sales are only planned for Japan.
