I am the orginal owner. This car has been driven by my wife and I only. We have a mechanic that works for us and this car has been well maintained. It has been parked in a garage at night. The tires are Michelin and new last summer, The battery is 18 months old, brakes are new 1 year ago. We have used only synthetic oil in it and it has been changed at 5000 mile intervals. The transmission has been flushed twice and has a new computer program load from toyota. The spark plugs have been replaced at 120,000 miles. The only defects on this car is a small scratch on the hood that is from a rock, and some flaking on the side of the drivers leather seat. The windshield was replaced when it was chipped. We had a small accident and it was rear ended and did some minor damage to the vinyl bumper, It was replaced. We are non-smokers. This car is in great shape and will give many years of service.

Toyota teaches weather reporters not to get their forecasts wrong
Fri, Mar 13 2015In some ways, being a weather forecaster on television is one of the easiest jobs on the world. In few other professions can you get your duty utterly wrong for the day and for that to be completely acceptable. Toyota is taking TV meteorologists to task in a new ad in Europe for the Aygo X-Wave with its sliding canvas top. The gimmick here is that the forecasters have to drive an Aygo for a month with a top that's synced to their predictions. For example, if they report sunny weather, then the top opens automatically regardless of whether rain is pouring down. Even if the results are staged, it still provides for a great dose of humor to market the hatchback's massive opening roof.
Toyota MR2 shows why we still love the 1990s
Wed, 27 Nov 2013Was there a better time for Japanese performance than the 1980s and 1990s? It seems like looking back, Japan was on a roll, producing cars that were affordable, economical, reliable, fast and lightweight. And while all the attention is - thanks to a certain film series - focused on cars like Toyota Supra and Mazda RX-7, there is a lesser-known model that's establishing its own enduring legacy without the help of Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.
The MR2, affectionately known as the "Mister Two" to fanboys, first arrived in 1984 as a lightweight, mid-engined sports car that proceeded to eat the lunch of the Pontiac Fiero in terms of performance. That car was replaced in 1989 with the more familiar, rounded-out MR2, which is the subject of this latest video from the team at Petrolicious.
The video takes a look at a group of MR2 drivers, and attempts to explain what it is about the car that is destined to make it a future classic. Scroll down to see Petrolicious examine the MR2 Connection.
Toyota ad says fuel cell cars are inevitable
Fri, Sep 19 2014Toyota's confidence in H2 technology remains as strong as ever. The company has released a new commercial that says it's not a matter of if we all start driving hydrogen cars, but when. In fact, the 70-second spot calls 2015 the turning point for the alternative powertrain technology. Here's a bit of the voiceover for the animated spot, which to our eyes and ears comes off as more than a little defensive: There will be the naysayers. The handbrakes, who say that it can't be done. that it's unsafe. That there's no infrastructure to support it. Then there'll be the trailblazers. The first to put up their hand, and put down their foot. The bold few, driven to be remembered as those who made a difference. And perhaps, the ones that made all the difference. In the end, Toyota says, we're all going to be driving hydrogen cars, starting perhaps with the company's first H2 sedan which will go on sale next year. But, if the early comments on the video's YouTube page are any indication, then Toyota's might be a bit lonely driving down the hydrogen highway.
