2011 Toyota Venza Limited on 2040-cars
Hartman, Arkansas, United States
My wife puts high mileage on her cars due to distance to work (all highway) and I refuse to trade-in a vehicle at a car dealership. That's why we are selling. She gets a new one every couple of years or she hits around 50-60,000 miles. If you know this model and have shopped around, this vehicle has absolutely everything you can get extra EXCEPT for the in-dash navigation. It is the Limited model without the navigation. It even has an exterior chrome trim (which you don't see much). We have two kids but they are older (clean interior) and this vehicle is in great shape. Interior is great. Exterior is great. Runs and drives great. I take it for an oil change every 3,000 miles and rotate tires every other oil change. Tires probably have another 5-10,000 miles left on them. That's it. There are no problems with this car. My wife has liked this car. She gets around 22-26 MPG driving back and forth from work. This is our first Toyota and I've been impressed. Most impressed feature for me was the room. First car (or truck) where I could actually move the seat back TOO FAR where I could not touch the pedal. I'm tall so this was nice for me. This is a Limited Model without the navigation: A/C ice cold Always garaged, Premium wheels Fully loaded No accidents, Non-smoker, One owner, Satellite radio, Seats like new, Upgraded sound system, Very clean interior, Well maintained Power/Heated seats Bluetooth Sound system (or input accessory cable) Leather 3.5L V6 Rear Panoramic Moon Roof Front Sliding Moon Roof Garage Door transmitter (Homelink) Remote Keyless Entry Remote Start Backup camera JBL Synthesis Surround Sound - 6 disc CD Changer; MP3; XM Radio Hands Free Phone Capability Window Tint Premium Carpet Mat Set Lower Door Molding (Chrome) |

New drifting world record set in Toyota GT86
Wed, 30 Jul 2014We have entered a drifting arms race. Last year, BMW smashed the Guinness World Record for the longest drift by hanging the tail out for 51.3 miles around a wet skid pad in an M5 at the BMW Performance Driving School in South Carolina. That beat the previous milestone of nearly seven miles. Now, Bimmer's record is up in smoke as well and is in the possession of a Toyota.
German driver Harald Müller pummeled the old record to drift for 89.55 miles around a 0.15-mile (235.5-meter) course in Samsun, Turkey, in a Toyota GT86 (or Scion FR-S as it's known in the US). According to the Guinness World Records website, it took him 612 laps and 2 hours, 25 minutes and 18 seconds to manage the achievement. Sit back to watch a few minutes of the German's two and a half hours behind the wheel with the tail out.
eBay Find of the Day: Back To The Future Marty McFly 1985 Toyota SR5 pickup tribute
Mon, 05 Aug 2013With DeLorean time machine replicas thick on the ground, it was only a matter of time before someone started recreating the other vehicles in the McFly garage. At the end of the first Back to the Future movie, Marty returns to 1985 to find his sweet-looking Toyota SR5 truck all waxed and ready for his date. That truck always did look great in the movie, and now's your chance to own this close facsimile.
This Back to the Future replica Toyota is on eBay with a price of $14,500, which the seller claims is half of what's been invested. Perhaps that's true, but it's still a nearly 30-year-old truck that's covered 280,000 miles. The seller does say the 22RE engine has been recently rebuilt, along with the rest of the drivetrain, and there's new paint, too. The attention to detail is admirable, and if you've always admired Marty's '80s-chic 4x4, now's your chance to own it.
Toyota RAV4 EV lease gets cut in half to $299/month
Tue, 27 Aug 2013If you're in the market for a new electric vehicle, now is definitely the time to buy or lease. Following price drops on just about every other EV on the market, Toyota is looking to push a few more all-electric RAV4 crossovers out the door over the Labor Day weekend. The Detroit News is reporting that, through September 3, anyone looking to get into a RAV4 EV in Los Angeles or San Francisco, can get a deal: a $299 a month lease (no word on down payment, though) or zero-percent financing for 60 months for buyers.
The $49,800 RAV4 EV normally leases for twice as much - $599 a month - so this move could be an attempt to sell more of the 2,600 units Toyota has planned to produce. Or maybe, if you thought $599 was a fair price, you can now get two RAV4 Evs. Although temporary, the price drop comes at a time when many other EVs on the market have had their prices reduced, including the Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt, Smart Fortwo ED and Honda Fit EV, not to mention already low prices for the Fiat 500e and Chevy Spark EV.
