2003 Toyota Tundra Sr5 Extended Cab Pickup 4-door 4.7l on 2040-cars
Battle Creek, Michigan, United States
I would like to start by saying that I challenge you to find a better looking or better driving 2003 Tundra TRD/Off-Road package. I have babied this truck since I bought it and the pictures show that. It runs perfect, burns no oil, and has been maintained with all service records in the glove box. Some key points are – Newer tires (less than 10,000), newer brakes all around, new rotors, brand new rack & pinion, Tuxedo roll-up toneau bed cover ,only Synthetic Moble oil used since I have owned it, The truck has no squeaks or rattles and is a tight as when it was new. Toyota dealership just put a new gas tank, rear shocks, and new rear brake lines on the truck which all fell under the recall from several years ago . Truck has a set of Wet-Okele neoprean seat covers that are awesome. The truck also has a nice bra on the front. The bra or seat covers are not hiding any imperfections at all. This truck 198,844 mile on it, but you would never guess that after driving it or looking at it. Newer Firestone tires - $600 Newer brakes front and rear Fresh Synthetic Moble one oil change Nice (best on the market) Camo Wet-Okole seat covers - $350 Nice roll up Truxedo toneau bed cover - $300 There will be no disappointments when you buy this truck, it is a solid great running 4x4 that has a long life ahead. I would not hesitate to leave for Alaska today in this truck. Please call my cell if you have specific questions that I didn’t answer here. If I don’t answer, please leave a voice mail and I will get back to you ASAP. I have included lots of pictures, so look it over and if you want a specific picture let me know. Toyota GT86 turbo, convertible, sedan variants back on the table
Fri, 02 May 2014Okay Toyota, make up your mind. Figure it out. Quit playing games with our heart. Either build a bunch of variations of the excellent GT86 (also known as the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) or don't. At this point, we're just tired of the back and forth. After no shortage of denials, an Australian website is claiming that Toyota is reconsidering convertible, four-door, turbocharged and all-wheel-drive hybrid variants of the GT86. Kindly pass all the salt.
It's not that we don't want to believe the Aussies; we do. But when the story lists the same "sources in Japan" as a lot of the other denials and confirmations about GT86/BRZ/FR-S variants, well, there's a certain sense of the "Boy That Cried Wolf," here. Ignoring all that, then, what does Motoring.com.au claim to know?
Sources claim the GT86 Convertible will arrive in October 2014, while the turbocharged and hybrid sedans are slated for 2016.
Toyota pondering high-performance GT86 hybrid?
Fri, 08 Mar 2013From what Autocar has to say, Toyota has even more plans for the GT86 beyond the convertible concept we just saw at the Geneva Motor Show. Along with a planned midcycle facelift, Toyota is reportedly looking at how to pack some extra ponies under the coupe's hood, and while there has already been a lot of talk about superchargers and turbochargers, it sounds like a performance-boosting hybrid system could also be in the works.
Talking to Toyota chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, Autocar has learned that the automaker is considering an electrical motor assist for the sporty coupe to improve performance without harming fuel economy. In attempting to keep weight - and, presumably, costs - down, the article mentions the use of a system closer to what Honda uses for its Integrated Motor Assist rather than a full Hybrid Synergy Drive system used in current Toyota hybrids. Tada says the added weight of the system could be offset by weight reduction, while aerodynamic changes and a lower center of gravity could improve the car's handling.
No word yet on whether a mild hybrid system would find its way to North America's Scion FR-S - let alone its Subaru BRZ twin - but the thought is certainly an intriguing one.
Who sold the most small/midsize pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates that, too
Wed, 27 Feb 2013PickupTrucks.com has taken another look at the sales of its favorite vehicle bodystyle as part of an ongoing series. According to registration data from R.L. Polk, the Toyota Tacoma easily took the crown as America's best-selling mid-sized pickup, with 133,477 units rolling into new homes in 2012. For comparison, the second-place Nissan Frontier only saw 50,566 registrations.
We feel compelled to point out that before Ford pulled the plug on its ancient Ranger, the company was moving some 75,000 units per year. That number had shriveled to 15,662 by 2012, which was still enough to surpass the Honda Ridgeline. Interestingly enough, one person brought home a brand-new Hummer H3T as well. But mid-sized trucks represent only a fraction of total pickup sales. Dealers sold a total of 241,471 midsizers last year compared to 988,326 half-tons.
That segment was dominated by General Motors with 533,814 sales followed by Ford at 478,204. Ram Trucks trailed behind in third with 241,204 units with Toyota close behind at 229,769. Nissan, meanwhile, remains a distant fifth. Head over to PickupTrucks.com for a closer look at the breakdown in each segment.
