2010 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4 - Gray

You're looking at a Tacoma in excellent shape. No reserve, this is a private sale by the owner, I am not a dealer. This car has never been in a wreck or had paint or body work done. Non smoker, adult driven, very clean, 2nd owner, only slightly more than 60k miles. Very well maintained truck, clean Carfax, never taken off-roading. It is 4x4, has the towing package w/ both 7 pin AND 4 pin connectors, TRD Off-Road and SR5 package. It is a 4.0L V6 Engine 4WD truck, 6-speed manual with a Toyota TRD Quickshifter, dealer installed. Included lockable rigid Tonneau cover and back-up camera. Changed oil every 5,000 miles with Mobil-1 Synthetic and oversized Mobil-1 Oil Filter every time. Ice cold A/C, cruise control, all power. I babied this truck, never abused it. Very clean inside and out. Of the 25k miles I put on it, about 15k were highway miles, as I had to drive 480 miles on teh highway twice a week for about 4 months while I was caring for my ailing mother. I love this truck, but I am selling so I can pay for Graduate school. There is a lien on the title, so will take a few weeks to get. It is financed locally here in Massachusetts.

I will have the oil changed (Mobil-1 synthetic & Mobil-1 Oil Filter) and the tires rotated before auction end. So the buyer will not need to do so for another 5,000 miles minimum.

Included Extras:
  • Toyota TRD Quickshifter. Paid $450
    • When driving off-road, it's not about speed, it's about quickness. That's when adding a TRD quickshifter comes in handy: The linkage and repositioned pivot points provide up to a 30% shorter shift throw for a sporty, more responsive feel
  • Back Up Camera, display in rear-view mirror
  • Tonneau cover: TruXedo Lo Pro QT Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover, lockable. Paid $500
    • See AutoAnything website for details on this item
  • Tailgate Lock: Pop&Lock. (w/ tonneau you can lock up luggage in the truck bed.) Paid $80
    • See AutoAnything website for details on this item
  • Toyota TRD 6-Speed Shift Knob. Paid $40
  • Toyota TRD exhaust tip.
  • Toyota Gray Powdercoated Tube Step Running boards. Paid $430
  • Toyota Chrome Bull Front Grill Guard/Skid Plate. Paid $300
  • Toyota TRD Off-Road Rubber floor mats (not stock). Paid $85
  • Off Road Tires: Yokohama Geolander All-Terrain (about 10k miles on them, rotated at 5k), Paid $700

  • Built in Electrical Outlet in bed
  • Bed liner, with tie-down D-Rings
  • 6 Disc in dash CD Player, w/ subwoofer in rear.

Evo pits Toyota GT86 vs. Mazda MX-5 Miata

Tue, Sep 8 2015

The latest Deadly Rivals episode from Evo gets the Mazda MX-5 Miata and Toyota GT86 (our Scion FR-S) on track for a shakedown and a whole lot of drifting with Dan Prosser behind the wheel. The UK-spec coupes have slightly different power ratings than ours, but it's all close enough to be comparable. Their Miata has 158 horsepower (ours has 155), 148 pound-feet of torque, takes 7.3 seconds to run from naught to 60 62, and costs 22,695 pounds. The GT86, on the other hand, lists a 7.6-second dash to 60 62, and a base price of 25,000 pounds. The GT86 also weighs 400 pounds more than the Mazda. That's true in the States, too – curb weight for our MX-5 is 2,332 pounds, whereas the Scion FR-S comes in at 2,758 pounds. Both cars lauded for excellent shifting, but one of them has a better front end, a sweeter engine note, more controllable cornering behavior, and is faster by a tenth of a second around the test track. And Prosser doesn't mention it, but one has a lot more body roll. But it takes more than all that to make a winner, so check out the video above to see which is which. 2015 Toyota Camry priced at $22,970*, Hybrid at $26,790*

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

We last saw the heavily revised 2015 Toyota Camry at the New York Auto Show earlier this year. Now, it's finally time for the best-selling car in the US to hit the roads in late September, and Toyota is announcing how much the updated model actually costs.
The basic Camry LE rings up for $22,970 (*not including a $825 delivery, processing and handling fee). That's up slightly from the base price of $22,425 for the 2014.5 LE, but the updated sedan has some 2,000 new parts, while also being 1.8 inches longer and boasting a 0.4-inch wider track. The rest of the trim levels include the SE for $23,840, sporty new XSE for $26,150 and XLE at $26,150. Opting for the V6 is the XSE and XLE bumps pricing to $31,370.
Separately, the Camry Hybrid gets its own LE, SE and XLE trims. The LE starts at $26,790 with a standard, power driver's seat and 4.2-inch information display. The SE for $27,995 gets an improved interior and the XLE at $29,980 has leather, heated front seats, LED running lights and more.

Toyota FCV puts hydrogen fuel cell twist on ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Fri, Aug 22 2014

You've probably seen your fair share of Ice Bucket Challenge videos online this week, which are meant to raise money to fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often called "Lou Gehrig's Disease." Hopefully, you've seen ours. We've watched a lot of these videos, but haven't seen one that makes an alt-fuel point quite like a new video from Toyota. Julie Hamp, the CCO of Toyota North America, lost a sister-in-law to ALS last year, so for her the cause is personal. Instead of just dumping icy-cold water on her head, Hamp uses water from the FCV fuel cell vehicle parked next to her. Because, of course, a hydrogen fuel cell car emits nothing but water vapor. Toyota didn't run a lot of hydrogen through the car to collect water, it just got enough to top off the ice bucket. Using the water emissions from a hydrogen vehicle in a creative way is not a new trick. Two years ago, the California Fuel Cell Partnership made the point that you can drink the emissions (just like Mercedes-Benz did earlier this year), but admitted that "fuel cells produce about the same amount of water as gasoline vehicle – about 1/3 cup for a full day of driving." Still, for a good cause, we'll accept the mix of tap water and "emissions." Check out the video below, if you haven't had enough already. This content is hosted by a third party.
