Up for sale is a very clean, fully loaded, and low mileage 2004 Toyota Tacoma XtraCab 4x4.  There has only been two owners since brand new in 2004.  It was just traded into a local Chevrolet dealership.  This truck runs and drives absolutely great.
I have offered and sold 65+ 1995-2004 Tacomas on eBay in the past year.

The exterior is in excellent condition.  The "Lunar Mist Metallic" paint shines beautifully.  There are only a couple small unsightly scratches here or there.  There are also two small dings in the truck, and some touched-up spots on the rear bumper.  That's about it, and the truck presents very well.  It has the original frame which has been fully inspected and undercoated by Toyota.  There are no rust issues or perforation. The rear end is clean and dry, and there are no leaks underneath.

The interior is very nice and clean.  The carpets, seats, dashboard, glass, and headliner are all in great shape.  There aren't any smoke smells, burns, or marks inside.  All of the electronics are functioning properly.

This Toyota Tacoma has many nice features and options!

- 3.4L V6 Engine

- Automatic Transmission

- Push-Button 4-Wheel-Drive

- TRD Off-Road Package with Rear Differential Locker

- Ice Cold Air Conditioning

- Power Windows, Locks, Mirrors

- Cruise Control

- Tilt Steering

- Dual Airbags

- Toyota Bedliner

- Sliding Rear Window

- CD Player w/Cassette

- ABS Brakes

This Tacoma runs and drives perfect as you would expect.  Everything works as it should.  The 3.4L 6-Cylinder engine starts instantly and runs great.  The transmission shifts nice and smooth and the 4-Wheel-Drive works exactly as it should.  The truck goes straight down the road with no shakes, rattles, or pulls.  There are no exhaust leaks.  The brakes stop great with no pulsations as well.  The Timing Belt was replaced @86,015 miles at New Country Toyota.  It has a brand new Air Filter and 4 Brand New BFGoodRich Rugged Trail T/A tires with 0 miles on them!

I have 1 Key, 1 Remote, the owners manual, clean CarFax report, the full size spare tire, jack, tools, and a clean/clear title.

Toyota says no one wants a Toyota electric car

Tue, Oct 28 2014

It's no secret that Toyota doesn't really have a heart in pushing pure electric vehicles. The very limited Scion iQ EV project was killed before it went very far and the RAV4 EV project with Tesla was always only meant to produce just 2,600 units, but it didn't even get that far. In short, by all public appearances, Toyota just doesn't see the value of a pure EV. "No one is coming to our door asking us to build a new electric car." – Toyota's Craig Scott Toyota's public reasoning for the lack of a Prius C EV, for example, has often been that customers don't want to compromise on range and that hydrogen is a better bet. Company executives like Bob Carter say so over and over again. A new comment by Craig Scott, Toyota's national manager of advanced technologies, says that the Japanese automaker, give a slightly different spin on things. "Toyota actually favors fuel cells over other zero-emission vehicles, like pure battery electric vehicles," he told the Los Angeles Times. "We would like to be still selling cars when there's no more gas. And no one is coming to our door asking us to build a new electric car." This, understandably, has riled up a lot of EV supporters, many of whom have called on all automakers to sell more electric vehicles. After all, if Nissan can sell around 3,000 EVs a month in the US, couldn't Toyota do something similar? Are there thousands of people coming to the door asking for the fuel cell sedan that Toyota will start selling in the US next year? That answer is unclear, but it certainly doesn't look like Toyota is backing off its H2 bet any time soon.

Toyota RAV4 "Adventure" brings the butch

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

Just last week, your humble author had a 2013 Toyota RAV4 in his garage, and he couldn't help noting that even in mid-level XLE trim, its aesthetics lacked oomph, due in large part to its cheap-looking black bumpers and airy-looking wheel wells. Judging by the RAV4 "Adventure" on display at the Geneva Motor Show, someone at Toyota must've been thinking the same thing.
With Japan's biggest automaker understandably focused on bigger reveals, information on this butched-up softroader has proven to be hard to come by, with no press materials whatsoever. We don't even know if this is a pure concept or if it's actually being considered for production. Either way, we approve. The 20-inch dark-finish alloys probably don't do much for ride quality, but they certainly look nicely aggressive, as does the new lower fascia with its prominent lower lip. Other changes include beefier wheel arches, side rails, headlamps with integrated LEDs, twin-element fog lamps and mesh grille inserts. All of the changes are quite well integrated - enough so that the Adventure largely avoids looking like a SEMA refugee in person.
