You are bidding on a 2003 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner V6 2WD with the TRD off road package. It has minor dents on the rear bumper and rear body and also a minor one on the driver side cab. There are also a few dents inside the truck bed itself and tailgate from typical hauling of materials. It has a few scratches on the front fenders.and tail gate area.
Mechanical Problems: The air bag light on the dash has been flashing for a little over a year. More than likely, a new air bag sensor will be needed to remedy this issue. The other issue to address is that the rear differential gasket needs to be replaced as there is a slow leak (very few drips). The gasket itself is cheap, it is the labor aspect that costs more. Another minor issue is that the side power mirrors have no power to them, a new switch may be required to repair this.
Body Damage: A few years ago, a vehicle backed into my truck and the bumper needed to be repaired along with new brackets. The rear (chrome) bumper has dents in it due to a vehicle rear ending me. This was not repaired and all is needed is a new bumper and brackets if you feel the need to change it out.
Features/Upgrades: TRD Exhaust, Airaid Intake, a valve body upgrade to the transmission done by IPT Transmissions which allows the transmission to shift firmer, a Walbro 190 fuel pump as the truck used to be supercharged, an additional transmission cooler, Bilstein 5100s (front and rear), chrome grille, clear corners with LEDs, LED license plate lights, HIDs, red/clear tail lights, front skid plate, Inyati sprayed in bed liner with the outer edges coated as well, chrome tube step bars, tail gate lock, spare tire lock, 5th alloy wheel, sender unit pre-installed on the transmission fluid line, 20% tint all around (plus visor strip), O2 sensor bung welded if you wanted to tune the truck, there is also an SMT-5 chip already wired with the ECU although it is not the latest version (truck is currently not tuned).
Tires: 2 265/75 R16 Nitto Terra Grapplers in the front (half tread) and 2 new 265/70 R16 Nitto Terra Grapplers for the rear.
History: I have owned this truck since it was brand new and purchased from Toyota in December of 2002. The truck is typically in a garaged environment when not in use.
Shipment of vehicle: Shipping of the vehicle will be at the owners expense. $500 deposit required for winning bidder. If you are local, test drive is highly recommended.
I will be taking photos and posting them soon. Please do not bid without asking ALL pertinent questions.

Recharge Wrap-up: Toyota FCV wears silver, Foxconn's $15K EV, solar power at GM
Mon, Jun 30 2014The Toyota FCV made its North American debut at the 2014 Aspen Ideas Festival, and this time it's not sporting its usual blue sheet metal. This silver paint job shows a bit more contrast. Certain features stand out a bit more, especially the black strip that wraps around the grille and down the sides of the hood to the mirrors. This is the production version of the car's exterior, which will go on sale in California next summer. Toyota also had its Driver Awareness Research Vehicle, DARV 1.5, on display in Aspen. DARV 1.5 uses technology to decrease driver distraction and measure driver behavior to provide a safe driving score. See more of both cars in our image gallery. Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industry (also know as FoxConn Technology Group) says it is planning to build electric cars that will cost just $15,000, according to The China Post. The world's largest electronics maker, which assembles mobile devices for Apple, promises that the cars will be highly connected. "When integrated with cloud computing, the Internet, smart traffic and smart cities in the future, people will be able to drive more easily and reduce car accidents more efficiently," says Hon Hai chairman Terry Gou. At a shareholder's meeting, Gou didn't comment on production timing or other details about the cars, nor would he answer questions about possible cooperation with Tesla Motors. Hon Hai made headlines in recent years after a series of employee suicides, which led the company to raise worker wages and install anti-suicide netting on its buildings. EV advocates in Illinois took a 500-mile road trip to help temper range anxiety in potential buyers, says the Chicago Tribune. The demonstration, organized by the Illinois Green Economy Network, meant to show people that they can use electric vehicles to drive long distances without getting stranded with a dead battery. The drive began near Carbondale and traveled to 11 different community colleges with charging stations before terminating in Grayslake. Illinois has about 5,000 registered electric vehicles, and 450 public and private charging stations. General Motors is building three acres of new solar arrays to produce an expected 400,000 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy per year. The new arrays at GM's Swartz Creek processing center and Flint engine plant will be completed this fall, contributing to the company's 38 megawatts of solar power from facilities around the world.
Toyota to offer sedan version of GT 86?
Fri, 11 Oct 2013Sources in Australia are reporting that we'll be seeing a small, rear-drive sedan from Toyota, based on the GT 86/Scion FR-S. Yes, a convertible variant is still in limbo, but a four-door sedan is in the works. It's unclear if the rumored GT 86 sedan would spawn Scion and Subaru variants (it's hard to cross all ten fingers while you type, but we're having a go).
Working with remarks made by the car's chief engineer Tetsuya Tada in his blog and a rendering from Japanese magazine Holiday Auto, the Australian site Motoring is claiming that the new model's wheelbase will grow about four inches over the current GT 86's 101.2-inch wheelbase.
Besides the larger overall space between the axles, the sedan will offer a more potent engine option over the current 2.0-liter, flat-four. Promising 268 horsepower, which is a big jump over the current car's 200 ponies, the new powertrain will be derived from the Hybrid R setup, shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show. If, like us, you're reaching for the salt, and we don't blame you.
US Congress lets $8,000 hydrogen vehicle tax credit expire
Mon, Dec 22 2014When Toyota introduced the 2016 Mirai last month in preparation for a launch late next year, it said that the hydrogen car will have a $57,500 MSRP and that there will be a federal tax credit available worth up to $8,000. The problem, as we noted at the time, is that that federal credit was set to expire at the end of 2014. The technical language of the current rule says that someone who buys a fuel cell vehicle, "may claim a credit for the certified amount for a fuel cell vehicle if it is placed in service by the taxpayer after Dec. 31, 2005, and is purchased on or before Dec. 31, 2014." With the 113th Congress now finished up for the year and legislators headed home for the holidays, we know one thing for certain: the federal tax credit for hydrogen vehicles was not updated and will end as we're all singing Auld Lang Syne next week. All of this isn't to say that Mirai buyers won't be able to take $8,000 off the price of the car 12 months from now. For proof of that, we only need to look at other alternative fuel tax incentives and realize that this Congress simply isn't moving fast enough to deal with things that are expiring right now. One of the last things that the 113th Congress did in December was to take up the tax credits that expired at the end of 2013 and renew some of them. Jay Friedland, Plug In America's senior policy advisor, told AutoblogGreen that PIA and other likeminded organizations worked with Congress to extended the electronic vehicle charging station (technically: EVSE) tax credit that was part of the Alternative Refueling Tax Credit in IRS Section 30(C) through the end of 2014. "Individuals can deduct 30 percent of the cost of purchasing and installing an EVSE up to $1,000; businesses, 30 percent up to $30,000," he said. "This tax credit is applied to any system placed into service by 12/31/14 and is retroactive to the beginning of the year. So go out and buy your favorite EV driver an EVSE for the holidays," he said. An electric motorcycle credit was killed at the last minute as Congress was getting ready to leave, but H.R. 5771 did extend the Alternative Fuels Excise Tax Credits for liquefied hydrogen and other alternative fuels. These sorts of tax credit battles happen all year long. In July, Blumenthal introduced the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Infrastructure Act of 2014, which never got out of the Finance Committee. Back to the hydrogen vehicle situation.
