This is a great little truck, I have owned it for about 4 years and it's never been "used or abused", It's primary use was my main commuter to work (about 73 miles round trip daily). I've driven it from Maryland to Alabama several times, most recent, this past July! It had 133K miles when I purchased it from the local Toyota dealer, the original owner traded it in on a new one. Everything works, the AC blows cold and it looks extremely good to be 12 years old with over 207K miles. I change the oil and filter every 3K and use Castrol High Mileage oil. I just recently installed new front brake rotors and pads, it just passed Maryland's emissions, it runs flawlessly and doesn't need a thing to start enjoying this great little truck! It has just a few minor dings (see pics) and about a 2 inch crack in windshield passenger side. I caught a rock about 3 months ago and it hasn't spread. There is a very slight wear mark on the passenger's seat from entering and exiting the truck for 12 years, but that's it! Factory bed liner, the tires have a lot of tread left, and she starts right up each and every time! Last year I installed a new muffler and tail pipe and battery and this past Spring tinted the door and rear windows. The flat black hood is vinyl wrap, if you don't like it, its easy to remove, you just need to heat it up with a blow dryer and peel it off.....I think it adds to the look though..If you have any questions you can use the "ask a question" here on ebay and I'll respond. I work in an environment that doesn't allow cell phones, so this is the best way to contact me. Buyer is responsible for shipping, I will meet with shipping company and ensure the truck is loaded and on the way. I'll accept paypal for deposit only, remainder payment must be either bank transfer or cash. If you are local and want to inspect contact me and we'll arrange a time/place to meet.

eBay Find of the Day: Harley-Davidson powered Toyota Prius [w/video]
Thu, 03 Apr 2014Sometimes we pluck cars from the listings of eBay Motors because they're old and interesting, some for being simply lovely, some for rarity and some for pure fun. And sometimes we pick eBay Finds of the Day, because they're hacked apart Toyota Prius' with Harley Davidson V-twin-power; concocted by the same mind that brought you innumerable Jalopnik articles and is partially responsible for the joy that is the 24 Hours of LeMons. This time it's that last one.
A fairly subtle tweet from long-time Jalop contributor and well-regarded grease monkey, Murilee Martin, hipped us to this crazy Frankenstein Prius. Built from the bones of a 2008 Toyota and the heart of a 1986 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883, the motive portmanteau is, well... it's a thing.
Toyota's advanced Hybrid Synergy Drive has been unceremoniously wrenched and snipped out of the engine bay, making room (via an artful hole in the hood) for the towering, bored out V-twin. Or, as the maestro himself puts it:
Toyota delves into the history of its Land Cruiser
Fri, 06 Sep 2013One of the longest-produced, most widely distributed vehicles in all of automotive history is also one of its most rugged: the Toyota Land Cruiser. With 60 years of continuous production, 14 different model lines and thousands of variations of the Jeep-like sports utility vehicle, the Land Cruiser became a success worldwide and developed a cult following among enthusiasts here in the US.
We'll be the first to admit that tracing the vehicle's lineage from its humble beginnings as a prototype for Japan's National Police Reserve in 1951 to what it is today isn't an easy task, especially when one considers that the types of Land Cruisers produced traditionally have varied from market to market. For example, the Land Cruiser sold in the US is very different from the US-only 40 series Land Cruiser-inspired FJ Cruiser, which is itself different from the Land Cruiser Prado sold in other world markets.
To cover the Land Cruiser's sixty-plus year history from start to present, someone over at Toyota UK was thoughtful enough to devote a plus-size blog post to it. It's worth a read if you have a spare 10 or 15 minutes - and even if you don't, you can check out our historical gallery above. Enjoy!
