TacomaHQ is proud to offer another immaculate, impossible to find, and great looking 1999 Toyota Tacoma Xtracab 4x4.  It was just traded into a Honda dealership on a new car and we were able to purchase it right from them.  It has both clean Carfax and Autocheck Vehicle History Reports.  The truck has basically spent it's entire life in Idaho, and has no rust!  You absolutely do not find older Tacomas in this nice of condition.  This was a non-smoker truck and it runs and drives 100%!
I have offered and sold 65+ 1995-2004 Tacomas on eBay in the past year.

The exterior is in phenomenal shape.  The hard to find original "Natural White" paint shines excellent!  There aren't any dents, dings, or scratches anywhere on the truck as you can see in pictures.  If I wanted to get very picky there are two extremely small dings on the passenger front door.  You won't find another one this clean!  The bumpers are clean as are the wheels.  The undercarriage has NOT been spraypainted, undercoated or anything at all like most dealers.  The undercarriage is absolutely mint on this Tacoma.  The rear end is very clean and dry, and there are no leaks underneath.

The interior is absolutely mint.  The carpets, seats, dashboard, glass, and headliner are all in great shape.  There isn't any wear or tear to mention.  There aren't any smoke smells, burns, or marks inside.  There is an unused cigarette lighter included.  All of the electronics are functioning properly.

This Toyota Tacoma has many nice features and options!

- 3.4L V6 Engine

- 5-Speed Manual Transmission

- 4-Wheel-Drive

- Ice Cold Air Conditioning

- Cruise Control

- CD Player

- Tilt Steering

- Dual Airbags

- Spray-In Bedliner

- Hood Protector

- Alloy Wheels

- Sliding Rear Window

- Intermittent Wipers

This Tacoma runs and drives perfect as you would expect.  Everything works as it should.  The 3.4L 6-Cylinder engine starts instantly and runs great.  The transmission shifts very nice and the clutch grabs strong.  The 4-wheel-drive and low range work exactly as they should.  The truck goes straight down the road with no shakes, rattles, or pulls.  There are no exhaust leaks.  The brakes stop great with no pulsations as well.  We have just installed rear shocks on the truck.  The 31" Toyota Open Country A/T tires were installed by the previous owner at 111,000 miles.  The steering rack has also been very recently replaced!

I have 1 Key, Tacoma front floormats, Owners manual w/case, clean CarFax report, the full size spare tire, jack, tools, and a clean/clear title.

Toyota cuts production target by 300,000 vehicles due to parts and chips shortages

Sat, Sep 11 2021

TOKYO - Toyota cut its annual production target by 300,000 vehicles on Friday as rising COVID-19 infections slowed output at parts factories in Vietnam and Malaysia, compounding a global shortage of auto chips. "It's a combination of the coronavirus and semiconductors, but at the moment it is the coronavirus that is having the overwhelming impact," Kazunari Kumakura, an executive at the world's biggest car maker, said after the company revised its production target. Unlike other big global automakers that were forced earlier to scale back production plans, Toyota had managed to avoid cuts to output because it had stockpiled key components along a supply chain hardened against disruption following northeast Japan's devastating earthquake in 2011. Toyota's announcement on Friday is a further sign that no part of the global car industry has escaped the affects of a pandemic that has sapped sales and is hobbling its ability to take advantage of the recovery in demand that followed the initial waves of COVID-19. Car sales in China in August fell by almost a fifth from a year earlier because there were fewer vehicles for people to buy. Toyota now expects to build 9 million vehicles in the year to March 31, rather than 9.3 million. It did not revise its 2.5 trillion yen ($22.7 billion) operating profit forecast for the business year. Adding to a 360,000-vehicle cut in worldwide production in September, Toyota said on Friday it will reduce output by a further 70,000 this month and by 330,000 in October. It hopes to make up some of that lost production before its year-end. Demand for chips has soared during the pandemic as consumer electronic companies rush to meet stay-at-home demand for their smartphones, tablets and other devices. A heavy reliance on Southeast Asian factories for parts is a headache for Toyota, but its also a problem for its rivals that have struggled with what Volkswagen has described as "very volatile and tight" chip supplies. The German carmaker has warned it may need to cut production further as a result. Ford last month shut down production at a plant in Kansas that builds its best-selling F-150 pick up because of parts supply woes, with Renault extending partial stoppages at factories in Spain. Mercedes this month said it expects chip shortages to significantly lower third quarter sales. Toyota says fuel cells could cost no more than diesels soon

Tue, Mar 10 2015

Toyota wants to bring the cost of hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles down to something along the lines of a diesel vehicle's price tag. It just might take until the alliterative year of 2022 to hit that target. Such is the challenge of modern engineering. Fuel-cell vehicle costs may eventually approach diesel vehicle costs because of the relatively expensive process of both making a diesel engine and including it with particulate filters and other treatments required to reduce the soot once associated with such engines, Automotive News says, citing comments from Toyota executive Katsuhiko Hirose. And, while engineers initially estimated that fuel cells and diesels would reach price parity in about 15 years, Hirose said Toyota higher ups weren't satisfied with that answer and think the timeframe could be cut in half. The Japanese automaker in January said it would ramp up the manufacturing rate of its first production fuel-cell vehicle, the Mirai, to about 700 units this year and to 2,000 vehicles for 2016. Later this year, Toyota will start selling the Mirai in the US for either $57,500 as a purchase or $499-a-month lease, and both options come with free hydrogen. Who can say that about diesel fuel? Toyota, Mazda get an Alabama welcome for $1.6 billion plant

Wed, Jan 10 2018

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Toyota and Mazda confirmed Wednesday they will build a $1.6 billion joint venture assembly plant in Alabama that will employ up to 4,000 workers, a boost for President Donald Trump who wants automakers to expand U.S. production. Toyota President Akio Toyoda and Mazda President and Chief Executive Officer Masamichi Kogai joined Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey in Montgomery at an event to confirm the decision. "Welcome to sweet home Alabama," Ivey said to the two executives, after saying that the anticipated 4,000 workers at the plant to be built in Huntsville would earn an average of $50,000 a year. The plant will produce 300,000 vehicles a year and should open on a 2,500-acre former cotton field in 2021, about 14 miles from Toyota's engine plant in Huntsville. Toyota plans to build Corolla cars at the plant, while Mazda will build crossover SUVs. "Together, I am confident we will create yet another 'Built in America' success story," Toyoda said. Alabama will provide tax incentives. Officials said the state tax incentives were worth $370 million, but they did not disclose how much the local incentives were worth. Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle said the plant will "provide jobs for decades to come for Huntsville and Alabama. It vaults Alabama to the top as an industry leader in producing the next generation of cars that will power our nation." Among U.S. states, Alabama is already the fifth largest producer of cars and light trucks. The state has more than 150 major auto suppliers and 57,000 automotive manufacturing jobs. Two decades ago, Alabama spent an estimated $250 million to woo Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz to put an auto plant in Tuscaloosa, sparking the birth of auto production in the state. In September, Daimler said it would invest $1 billion to expand its Alabama Mercedes-Benz plant to start building electric sport-utility vehicles there from about 2020. Alabama is also home to assembly plants operated by Honda and Hyundai. A Kia assembly plant operates near the Alabama border in Georgia. Mazda and Toyota said they still need approvals and authorization by antitrust agencies for the new joint venture. They announced a capital alliance in August and plans to jointly develop technology for electric vehicles. Trump tweeted in March he wanted "new plants to be built here for cars sold here." Many automakers have announced expansions of facilities or new jobs but no other new U.S. auto plants have been announced. U.S.
