1998 TOYOTA SUPRA - IMPERIAL JADE MICA - HARDTOP - THERE ARE 3 OF THESE CARS
TOTAL, ever made. Out of those 3 vehicles. This one is the lowest mileage. IJM color was only made in 98. As far
as production numbers, this is the rarest Supra ever produced ! Supra came from Toyota as a NA automatic . IT HAS
BEEN UPGRADED TO THE 2JZ TWIN TURBO MOTOR WITH 6 SPEED TRANSMISSION. Car was converted around 2010 to the best of
my knowledge when it was sold to an elderly gentleman who purchased and enjoyed until recently passing of natural
causes. I believe the title is going to show 1 more owner than it should, because the wife titled in her name
before selling. The body on this car is lazar straight, this Supra has never been in a accident and 85 to 90% of
the paint is original. I know the back bumper and driver side rear quarter have been painted. They were painted
because of blemishes not because of an accident. Car has all original vin tags, except for the drivers side door
jam, which was painted over by mistake from body shop. This Supra is beautiful This car is 100% show and drive
right now. The 2jz is in perfect condition , compression is consistent across the board. The Getrag 6 speed
transmission shifts through every gear flawlessly. The conversion on this car was done so well, I believe you could
take to any Toyota dealership and they would tell you the same. Car has TT rear diff, TT front breaks, TT polished
rims. Car is set up stock, except for BPU (basic performance upgrade) so front mount intercooler, and down pipe.
Car has 4 new tires.

EVO "2012 Car of the Year: The Track Battles" is a sports car salmagundi
Sun, 25 Nov 2012EVO has come out with another gotta-watch-it video, throwing its 2012 Car of the Year contestants around the UK's 1.5-mile Blyton Park track. It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.
You'll find the verdicts, lots of tire smoke, and lines like "Anything you can do sideways I can do sideways" in the video below.
Toyota to shock with Supra concept for Detroit Auto Show?
Fri, 06 Dec 2013We've written about approximately 187,000 rumors about a return of the Toyota Supra to the land of living cars. There are a couple of good reasons for this: first, Toyota won't stop dropping hints about a new halo sports car. Late this summer, Toyota sales guru Kazuo Ohara called a Supra successor "one of the options we have" - a comment followed by a hint that there would be "better news" on the subject in the future.
The second reason for all the Toyota tales is, of course, that we all have missed the Supra since its departure from the US market in 1998. So, when a member of the Autoblog team is party to a nudge-and-wink-filled conversation about a new Supra concept headed to January's Detroit Auto Show, we tend to listen up.
A 400+ horsepower hybrid sports car would match up pretty well with the upcoming NSX.
Has the auto industry hit peak hybrid?
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Hybrids are known for their great fuel economy and low emissions, but it looks like given current market conditions, only about three percent of new car consumers are willing to pay the premium for them. A new study from IHS/Polk finds that the hybrid market share among overall US auto sales are falling, despite more models with the technology on sale than ever before.
The study examined new car registrations in March from 2009 through 2014. In that time, the auto industry grew from 24 to 47 hybrid models available to consumers, but market share for the powertrain remained almost stagnant in that time. As of 2009, hybrids held 2.4 percent of the market; it fell slightly to 2.3 percent in 2010 and grew to 3.3 percent in 2013. However, 2014 showed a drop back to 3 percent. Overall hybrid sales have been growing since 2010, but they just aren't keeping up with the total auto market.
According to IHS/Polk, this isn't what you would expect to see. Usually, each new model in the market brings along with it a boost in sales. The growth in hybrid models 2009 to 2014 should have shown a larger increase in share for the segment.
