1994 Toyota Supra Turbo Built Motor 73k Mile 584whp Aem Fuel System Clean Title on 2040-cars
Meridian, Idaho, United States
This supra has been in my family since 2005. It purchased
with 49k miles and now it has 73k on her. My father asked me to list it for him
as he is now 70 and has a hard time getting in and out of the car. Its a Baltic
Blue targa top with tan leather interior. Everything works as it did when it
was stock (Still has cruise control, AC blows cold, power steering works ect ect) The only thing
that is not setup (but still in the car) is the electronic traction control.
Car is in great shape and runs great. Starts up on cold start the first few
cranks. It’s tuned for 18lbs on pump gas and makes just under 600whp. We have never had a race gas tune on
the car but at 30lbs it would make 750-800whp. The car is very fast for its conservative pump gas tune and breaks the
tires loose as soon as boost hits. When the car is out of boost it drives very
calmly. Most people who have been in or around the car don’t realize it has had
all of the upgrades done due to how mildly it drives around town. The car was built with quality parts. No Ebay junk, or knockoff parts were used. The car does NOT leak any oil, coolant or trans fluid
either. It’s been a very fun & reliable car. I wouldn't hesitate to drive
this car across country. It has a new
OEM Toyota timing belt, water pump and oil pump put on it this winter (probably 500-600
miles ago) The car is in great shape, however its not perfect. The rear seal around the back window is warn. It does not leak water in, but it has some cracks. Also the seal under the driver side door is a little bit warped (I believe its the rubber seal/gasket that goes between the side skirt and the body of the car) You should be able to see this in the photos. It also has a TINY TINY cut on the dash, over the air bag cover. This would be very easy to patch, we just have not got around to doing it. If you have any other questions about something that I did
not list, feel free to shoot me an email. I will try to reply as quickly as I
can. Please only serious buyers. Please have financing, or cash ready if you
are trying to purchase. My father had the car repainted last year (the oem color)
the 20 year old paint was starting to show its age. I HOLD THE CLEAN/CLEAR TITTLE in my hands. I can send a copy
to serious buyers if they wish. Thank you for looking. Closet airport is BOI ( Boise) I am also willing to help coordinate shipping ( though cost is up to buyer) Mod list: Engine : HKS 272 Cams Ferrea Valves Crower Valve springs & Retainers Eagle Rods Mahle Pistons ARP Hardware ( Head, Main, and Rods) Turbo Kit: Turbonetics T4 72mm Turbo Greddy Single Turbo Manifold Greddy Wastegate 4” Greddy Intake pipe & K&N filter 3” Vband downpipe/midpipe Catback Exhaust FMIC Boost Logic Built Auto ( about 1500 miles) Boost Logic 3400 stalll External Auto Trans cooler 880cc injectors Aeromotive FPR Braided stainless -8 An Fuel lines for fuel system Dual OEM pumps Ross Racing Fuel rail AEM EMS V1 HKS DLI AEM Boost Control Solonoid AEM 3.5 Bar Map sensor AEM All in one Gauge OEM TT Wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires purchased last fall ( Around $1000 for all 4) |

Toyota and Lexus recalling 235,000 hybrid CUVs and sedans over separate issues
Wed, 04 Sep 2013When it rains, it pours. Toyota has announced a pair of separate but voluntary North America recalls covering approximately 235,000 vehicles built between 2006 and 2011. The larger of the two recalls targets Toyota's hybridized crossovers, the Lexus RX400h and Toyota Highlander Hybrid. 133,000 units, including 2006-2010 Highlander and 2006-2008 RX crossovers are covered in the campaign. The other recall affects 102,000 IS350 sedans, IS350C convertibles and GS350 sedans built between 2006 and 2011.
With the CUVs, the faults in the parallel circuits of the transistors can cause heat damage in the inverter assembly, triggering an abundance of warning lamps and sending the vehicle into limp mode. The Lexus sedans are being recalled due to loose bolts on the variable valve timing controller. Detected by unusual underhood sounds on startup, the issue can cause the engine to stop while driving. The inverter issue is also triggering similar recalls in Japan and Europe.
At the moment, it's unclear if any of these issues have caused any crashes or injuries. Toyota says it plans to notify owners of the recall via snail mail. Additional information for owners can be found on the recall sites for Toyota and Lexus or by calling Toyota's customer service line, at 1-800-331-4331. Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?
Thu, 25 Sep 2014People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.
Toyota asking NHTSA for waiver on 206K vehicles
Fri, 14 Mar 2014Toyota has filed a petition with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration asking for a waiver to avoid recalling about 206,271 2012-2014 Camry, Avalon, Corolla, Sienna, Tundra and Tacoma vehicles, some of its most popular models. The affected vehicles contain seat heaters that might not meet government flammability standards. Toyota says in the waiver that "the chance of fire or flame induced by a malfunctioning seat heater is essentially zero," according to The Detroit News. The automaker notes the part makes up less than one percent of the seat's weight.
Initial reports of the problem arose in late January when Toyota issued a stop-sale order for 2013 and 2014 model year versions of those vehicles. The automaker says that there have no been reports of fires or injuries in the affected cars, and the problem was discovered during testing by the South Korean government, according to The Detroit News.
We've reached out to Toyota for comment on this development and are awaiting a reply. We'll update this post if and when we hear back.
