I have a 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo for sale. Black exterior and black interior. This is a T-Top. When I bought it last year, I drove most of the time with the tops off. This is a 5 speed manual. Has 79,895 original miles, by the time I sell, will probably be about 80k. I rarely drive the car which is why I'm selling it. This car is really quick and fun to drive, easy to park, just don't need a car anymore. Since I've gotten the car, I've driven it about 1k miles. This was originally a project car, but I just don't have the time or funds to continue on with what I was going to do. Drives great and since I installed the downpipe, exhaust, and SMIC, really felt the power. Clean title in hand. Let me know if you have any questions. Call/text at 347-560-8889. Please don't bother lowballing me, I won't respond. Reasonable offers will be entertained. The car is sold as is, I feel like I've listed everything out.
Mods/Upgrades:
- HID 6k
-Berk 3" Downpipe
-Greddy style Side Mount Intercooler
-3" TKO Exhaust with Magnaflow Tips
-Greddy Turbo Timer
-18" VSR Rims
-JVC Double Din Radio w/ iPod connector
-Upgraded speakers all around the car
-Amplifier (As pictured)
-94+ taillights with modified original center panel
-BC Racing Coilovers (Less than 500 miles on it)
-Upgraded wing (I believe it's a N Spec, Someone told me one time, but I forgot what they said it was. Apparently pretty rare and usually just found in the UK. Have had offers of $250 for it)
-Has an alarm for it (Unlock and lock don't work)
-K&N Intake
Things that need some work: (Just want to be as up front as possible)
-Driver seat is the original which has rips. I have the matching driver side seat as the passenger with the black leather and red trim, just never installed. I even bought the bracket which was $150. Depending on how you want it set up, you don't need the rail and can just bolt it on.
-Body needs some TLC. The front bumper needs to be repainted. I bought it like this and just never got around to it. Minor scratches around the body
-Passenger side lock cylinder doesn't work. Looks like someone tried to break in to it. I bought it like this. My mechanic said just need to buy a new door cylinder and go see a locksmith.
-Power doors don't work. My mechanic says there's a wire somewhere that needs to be traced.

MotorWeek remembers retro icons, Supra and NSX
Thu, 16 Oct 2014It's easy to poke a joke here and there about John Davis, the long-time host of MotorWeek. His voice is so monotonous that, from time to time, if you closed your eyes, you may think it's generated via a computer. But you have to give him and the rest of the show a lot of credit. The program has been on the air for decades, giving people direct, straight-down-the middle automotive reviews.
MotorWeek's massive back catalog of reviews are slowly making their way onto YouTube, and they provide a fascinating chance to look back on how performance cars rank against their contemporaries from back in the day. Two recent additions include the show's old looks at the 1986 Toyota Supra, the dawn of the third-generation model, and the now-iconic 1991 Acura NSX.
Both reviews are interesting in their own way. These days you hear nary a negative word about the original NSX, but MotorWeek isn't afraid to point out a few flaws. And the Supra really shows the progress of suspension tuning in the intervening decades because it has some serious body roll in the corners. Scroll down to check out both videos and get a blast from the automotive past.
Toyota Tacoma X-Runner dead
Tue, 06 Aug 2013A report from last week indicated that Toyota will begin trimming models from its Tacoma lineup starting with the Regular Cab in 2015, but the popular pickup will lose its first variant even sooner than that. For 2014, the Tacoma X-Runner has been dropped, though the company's SR Package could fill the need of those looking for a sporty pickup.
The X-Runner has been around since 2005 with its lowered stance, aftermarket-look body kit and bright paint colors, all of which are offered available only on V6-powered, two-wheel-drive Access Cab Tacomas. The new SR Package sounds like it will offer a somewhat similar appearance, though, with a monotone exterior paint scheme in limited colors accented with smoked headlights, but it will only be offered on Pre-Runner and 4x4 models. Other changes being made to the 2014 Tacoma include a new wheel option with black finish, a wider variety of Entune multimedia features, and the option to have the backup camera display moved from the rearview mirror to the audio system head unit.
