RARE RUST FREE FJ43. For all of you Cruiserheads and Toyota FJ Lovers will know
that this Rare FJ43 Version was only introduced and imported from Japan to Australia, Central and South America,
and not in the US, making it very rare and great to own since we dont get to see many as often.
The car has a clean and Florida title ON HAND, and recently imported to the US. I am the second onwer in papers to
the car, but it has been owned in the family since purchased at our hometown dealer ship 36 years ago. All Taxes,
DOT,EPA,BONDS and DMV inspections and Importation documents are clear, done and good to go.
All you need to do is sign the title and register it to your name. Simple as that! You dont have to go through all
the hassle and need to purchase a vehicle that is not even in the US!
The car has a fresh new Rustic Green color code 621 with ALL MATCHING PLATE, ENGINE AND CHASSI NUMBERS. All the
emblems and side markers are brand new, brand new upholstery, brand new mirros, brand new front and rear horse
shoes(brakes) and cylinders, brand new and all original OEM Toyota filters and gaskets. Many of the engine parts
and hardware have been zinc plated to original condition as well.
All gaskets were changed, motor, transmission, manifold. The car has 56917 original Kilometers which makes it
around 36,000 miles. Engine has a excelllent compression and runs smooth and strong. Rare 16" Split Rims that only
came on the FJ43s and FJ45 models
Carburator was rebuilt, brand new jet kit and perfectly tuned. Brand new spark plugs, oil, and gas filters.
Transmission, gearbox, and engine oil is fresh and brand new. This car has about a 60% of all nuts and bolts new,
others were kept original since some you cant find any more and the grade of original bolts to the car are very
hard to find. Brand new set of 4 leaf springs and CCOT Extended shackles 1 1/2" long in the front and 2 1/2" long
in the rear.
This care is a great an unique opportunity, the pictures speak for themselves, but if you have any questions please
feel free to contact me and i will be happy respond them and do some toyota talking.
As the current owner of this vehicle, I only wanted the best and "Better than your average FJ" So, one of the most
comprehensive restorations that it could be done while maintaining this FJ43 as original as possible. We made sure
that every detail has been meticulously cared.
The Stock Motor is in a very healthy and strong condition and will perfectly put it another 40-50K miles with no
trouble at all. Thus, we did not see the need to take this engine apart. However we did reseal the engine with all
new parts, including valve cover gasket, intake and exhaust gaskets, side gaskets front and rear Crack Shaft Seals,
etc. etc.
All new ignition wires, distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter and more..
All new clutch assembly including pressure plate, bearing, fork, salve cylinder and hose, even a new inspection
rubber cover were all replaced.
Front and Rear Axles were re-sealed and new Gear Oil was used.

Cleanliness of Toyota Mirai fuel cell exhaust depends on air quality

Sat, Nov 29 2014

Is the water vapor coming out of Toyota's first production fuel-cell vehicle drinkable? If you're driving through the Sierra Nevadas? Probably. Cruising through Beijing? Not so much. Toyota executive Seiji Mizuno discussed whether the water vapor emitted from the Toyota Mirai is safe enough to drink and, according to Automotive News, the short answer is "yes," since the slightly-acidic vapor has "fewer organic impurities" than milk. The catch, though, is that the vapor immediately gets mixed with the surrounding air. That means that there's always the chance that something funky gets mixed in with the air intake, especially if the Mirai's driving through a smog-infested city. That makes the idea of swigging off the tailpipe a slightly riskier venture, so it's best to keep that reusable bottle full of tap water handy. Toyota, which recently showed the Mirai off at the Los Angeles Auto Show, confirmed earlier this month that the Mirai would start sales in California in 2015 with lease rates starting at $499 a month. While the model's MSRP will be $57,500, federal and state incentives could bring that number to less than $45,000. Fewer than 200 Mirai vehicles will be available in the US by the end of next year.

A new Toyota MR2? We want to believe

Thu, Mar 9 2017

In the wake of a busy Geneva auto show, the rumor mill is churning, and the latest grist involves one of the most beloved Toyota sports cars of all time. EVO reports that Tetsuya Tada, the chief of the Scion FR-S/Toyota 86 project and a hard-liner about sportscar priorities (light and nimble, but with modest horsepower), wants a third vehicle for Toyota's nascent sporty lineup. Currently, we know there's a Supra-like vehicle in the works, being co-developed with BMW, and the 86 is sticking around. Tada said he'd like a third sportscar to compliment the two we know about, and that he wants it soon. A quick bit of history: Toyota's classic sporty lineup had three components. The most visible was the Supra, whose power and prestige grew as the car evolved from a cushy personal tourer to a high-horsepower, high-technology icon. The Celica was its Clark Kent, more mild mannered but also more accessible and affordable. The third was the MR2, a mid-engined go-kart that lasted for three distinct generations. Each had its charms, and all have their fans. When Tada says that he wants three sportscars in the lineup, we already know about the Supra successor, and the 86 is already filling the Celica's role, so the blank is easy to fill. It doesn't sound like Tada spoke the word "MR2" to EVO, or hinted that the car would be mid-engined, but Tada doesn't seem to say anything without purpose. Whatever the layout, this third car – if it comes to fruition – will probably play a role similar to the MR2 in relation to its stablemates. To translate: it'll likely be even lighter and more nimble, and probably less powerful, than the 86. The closest real-world analogue to the pure MR2 ideal is the Honda S660, a mid-engined Kei roadster that's on sale in Japan right now. It's light, small, and powered by a 0.66-liter inline-three. Toyota could decide to directly compete with the S660, borrow an engine from its small-car specialist subsidiary Daihatsu, and produce a mid-engined MR2. Another possibility, even simpler from Toyota's perspective, would be to adapt the existing Daihatsu Copen roadster. Sure, it's front-engine and front-wheel drive, but it's a small, light roadster. And even better, it sells abroad with a larger 1.3-liter engine. Restyle it slightly, perhaps to resemble the S-FR concept of a couple years ago, and it's an off-the-shelf solution. The S-FR itself is a third possibility.
