1973 Toyota Land Cruiser Fj40 - Complete Frame-off Restoration!!! on 2040-cars

US $45,500.00
Year:1973 Mileage:0
Location:

Kissimmee, Florida, United States

Kissimmee, Florida, United States

Description:

You are looking at a beautiful 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Gasoline that has undergone a complete frame-off restoration.  It has had every bolt and component removed and restored to better than original condition.  The restoration is flawless and museum collector's quality.  This is NOT what is referred to as a "twenty footer" that looks great from 20 feet, but when you get close, its just in good condition.

This FJ40 has Vintage Air A/C, 12 gal stainless steel gas tank, power steering, and a 350hp V8 to name a few.

This is a flawless frame-off restoration at any distance and that is why it has a price in the mid-thirties and not in the mid-twenties!

This FJ40 is originally from Costa Rica and was restored in Costa Rica where FJ/HJ45s and FJ/BJ40s are common and plentiful, although not in this impeccably restored condition.  It currently sits at my home in Costa Rica and will be headed to Miami, via shipping container, shortly after the end of the auction to be completely processed and imported pursuant to EPA and DOT regulations (exempt due to 25+ years old).  The FJ40 will be registered in Florida and the winning bidder will receive a clean Florida title when the transaction is completed.

I travel on an average of once a month to Costa Rica to scout for restoration candidates and have them either restored to original condition (20 footers), or have the 40s/45s restored (frame-off) to better than original condition and in showroom quality when the right candidate is found (perfect at any distance).  This FJ40 has turned out to be the nicest pickup truck I have ever seen completed!

Very rare in the US in any condition and almost non-existent in this complete frame-off restoration condition.

Bid with confidence!  As the winning bidder you will undoubtedly have the nicest FJ40 in the USA!

Since eBay will only let me place a maximum of 24 pictures on the listing, I have included a link below to our Flickr account where you can see even more high-resolution pictures of this awesome FJ40.  I have one other HJ45 for sale that you can also see, which although is not a frame-off restoration, is still a very nice, original, and quality restoration.  There is also another impeccable HJ45 that has also undergone a complete frame-off restoration with every bolt and component removed, and that one is priced in the high 30s and worth every penny and is by far the nicest HJ45 anywhere and also in true collector's museum quality condition.

Just one look at the high resolution pictures of this FJ40 and you will see the high standard by which this FJ40 was restored to.

If this one, or any of the other ones I currently have for sale are not to your liking, I can have one custom made for you to any level of quality and budget you desire.

Auctions - Our vehicle(s) are also listed locally and with other search engines and we therefore reserve the right to end this auction early if the vehicle is sold or otherwise becomes unavailable before the listing ends.

Otherwise the dispute shall be submitted to a panel of three arbitrators. The arbitrator(s) shall strictly enforce all provisions of this contract except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise. The arbitrator(s) shall have no authority to grant either Party punitive, exemplary, consequential or other special damages of any kind.  Judgment upon the award of the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Attorneys Fees - In any action, proceeding, or arbitration pursuant to this contract, the court or the arbitration panel, as applicable (the “tribunal”), shall award to the prevailing Party all of such Party’s costs related to the controversy (including without limitation attorneys’ fees and out-of-pocket expenses).  Where each Party prevails in part, the tribunal shall award to each Party that part of its costs which the tribunal deems allocable to those issues as to which such Party prevailed.

Vote to unionize Toyota Canada plant faces delay

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

Volkswagen isn't the only automaker with high-profile unionization efforts afoot at one of its North American factories. Unifor, Canada's largest private-sector union, is attempting to organize Toyota's factories in Ontario, reports Reuters. A vote was originally set for next week, but Unifor has apparently found more workers eligible to vote, delaying the proceedings. It hasn't rescheduled the ballot yet, but claims there are 7,500 employees with the right to vote, with over 3,000 having already signed union cards.
Toyota is pushing against organizing, saying that workers already have a payment and benefits near the top of the industry, and noting that it has never laid off a permanent employee in Canada. Unifor has reportedly countered by saying that about a quarter of the workforce is operating under a temporary contract, which receives lower benefits.
The automaker has three factories in Ontario - two in Cambridge and one in Woodstock. To form a union, a majority of eligible employees must vote to join Unifor. If successful, they would be the first wholly owned Toyota plants in North America to be organized. Previous attempts to unionize the Japanese automaker's Canadian factories in 2001 and 2008 failed due to lack of support.

Ford predicts it will finish 2013 as top-selling US brand

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

Ford is ready to call the ball on its 2013 sales totals, predicting a first-place finish for units sold in the US for a single brand. The company anticipates selling more than 2.4 million vehicles when all vehicle sales over the last 12 months have been tallied, repeating the victory it trumpeted over Toyota last year.
According to Ford's accounting, it sold 329,677 more vehicles than did Toyota in 2012. This year, the Blue Oval expects that margin to grow; through the end of November, Ford says it has outsold Toyota by 396,041 units.
Retail sales of Ford products are projected to exceed 1.7 million units for 2013 (the best retail result in 6 years for the company), with passenger cars accounting for 600k of that total. The redesigned Fusion is expected to crest the 290k mark, and the Fiesta is said to be ready to hit a model-record of 70k-plus. Meanwhile, utility vehicles and trucks are still paying a lot of bills in Dearborn, with the new Escape racking up an expected 300k sales and F-Series trucks chugging along at 688,810 units sold thru November.

Toyota headed to New York with 2014 Highlander, revised Scion tC

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

Toyota has given us a look at what the company will bring to the 2013 New York Auto Show. Visitors will get to set their eyes upon the all-new 2014 Highlander, and while the automaker isn't saying much in the way of details, we do get the teaser you see above (click to enlarge) to ponder on until next week. The image shows little more than a headlamp and a bit of grille, but gives us the flavor of what the crossover will bring to the table.
Scion, meanwhile, says it plans to dust off the "new 2014 tC sports coupe." While we don't imagine the two door will have undergone a major surgery, we're interested to see what the automaker has cooked up. The tC last endured a redesign in 2011. Check out the brief press release below and look for the vehicles to bow on March 28.Y
