1973 TOYOTA FJ40 LAND CRUISER. THIS WAS A SOFT TOP MODEL. I TOOK THIS TRUCK IN ON A TRADE SO I WILL TELL YOU WHAT I KNOW ABOUT IT. IT IS A NEW MEXICO TRUCK . BASICALLY IT DOESN'T HAVE MUCH RUST. DRIVERS FLOOR HAS A SMALL SPOT. THERE ARE ALSO VARIOUS SMALL SPOTS OF RUST ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE BODY WHICH YOU WILL SEE IN THE PHOTOS. THE FRAME AND UNDER CARRIAGE IS VERY SOLID. THIS WAS PRIMARILY USED AS A HUNTING VEHICLE FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS. IT IS A RESTORABLE FJ40 SINCE IT HAS VERY LITTLE RUST. THE TRUCK WILL NEED A NEW BATTERY. IT HAS A NEW ALTERNATOR AND STARTER. THE BRAKES WILL NEED BLEEDING, THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDS NEW FLUID LIDS. THE BRAKES DO PUMP UP AND STOP THE TRUCK. I HAVE DRIVEN IT, THE TRANSMISSION IS THE 3 SPEED ON THE FLOOR AND IT SHIFTS GOOD WITH NO NOISES, FRONT AND REAR DIFFERENTIAL ALSO SOUND GOOD AND THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WORKS AS IT SHOULD. IT GOES DOWN THE HIGHWAY STRAIGHT WITHOUT EXCESSIVE STEERING PLAY. THE MAN I GOT THE LAND CRUISER FROM HAD IT SINCE 1988. THE FJ40 ALSO NEEDS A TUNE UP AND CARB REBUILD I BELIEVE IT COULD USE A FUEL PUMP AS WELL. THIS IS A PROJECT YOU CAN'T COME AND DRIVE IT HOME DUE TO THE FACT IT NEEDS WHAT I HAVE MENTIONED. Toyota, Lexus dominate KBB's Best Resale Value Awards

Toyota and Lexus stormed the 2014 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards, winning a combined 18 categories including best brand and best luxury brand. This marks the third year in a row that both automakers have won the Brand and Luxury Brand resale value awards. In all, Toyota won 11 categories and Lexus won seven.
Honda made a good showing, as well, winning two segments (Accord Plug-In Hybrid and Civic Si) and putting one car on the top-10 Best Resale Value list (CR-V). Chevrolet did even better, winning two segments (with the V6 Camaro and the Corvette) and placing three cars on the top-10-overall list (again, the Camaro and Corvette, plus the Silverado 1500).
The other winners came from Jeep, Dodge, Infiniti, Subaru and Audi. To give you a clearer picture of the Toyota and Lexus domination, their 18 mentions represents more than half of the 34 awards (including the top-10-overall list).

Toyota ending Prius Plug-In production in June

The fourth-generation Toyota Prius and it's potential 58 miles per gallon fuel economy isn't due until later this year at the earliest, and some folks suspect it will be well into next year. But at least you'll still be able to buy one until it arrives; the same can't be said for the plug-in Prius - "Pip" to its friends - that will cease production this June. Nathan Kokes, a marketing representative in Toyota's Advanced Technology division, made the announcement on the forum Prius Chat without giving any reason for the decision. Inside EVs says there about 1,100 Prius PHVs in stock at dealers, which would last for just under three months at the average sales rate this year. Assuming no changes in production to boost stocks, that would give you until the end of summer to fulfill your first-generation Prius PHV dreams, then there'd be a drought for an unknown length of time. For the conspiracy theorists looking to the sales numbers or the Mirai launch for cause, Kokes did join the chat thread once after the announcement to say that "will have plenty of Prius Plug-in Hybrids to sell long after [June]," and, "production plans and product cadence are in no way timed to any external incentive (i.e., CA HOV sticker), competitive product or the upcoming Mirai launch." With Toyota having delayed the standard car to get it just right, there's no telling how long the plug-in version will take since it aims to satisfy high-order customer demands like wireless charging and more electric range, and perhaps the rather long list of "minor" changes that include things like more paint options, HVAC operation, the placement of the charge port, and more driver convenience features.
