THE PERFECT RESTORATION PROJECT!!!!!!! This is undoudtly one of the most original and bone stock 1967 FJ 40's available today for sale with a few very rare factory options. It is equipped just as it was when purchased new except that a electric fuel pump was added years ago. This FJ has set for several yrs. without being driven or engine ran. It does not currently run, but engine will turn over. The body is exceptually good for its age with only minor rust issues. The body rust is in the following areas. See pictures.

1. The rear bed area under the rear cargo doors in the cross member area between fenders. The main bed area is in very good condition.

2. Each rocker has an area  of rust about the size of a lemon. Flat metal and easy to repair.

3. The drivers floor board has a few pin holes about 1/8 inch in size. The floor board is otherwise very solid and strong. If a      bedliner coating is applied these holes would go away entirely.

This FJ has a VERY RARE FACTORY PTO WINCH that was installed by Toyota as a rare option and is 100% complete with all the factory linkage and drive shaft. These factory PTO winches are bringing $3,000.00 + currently on ebay.  If you go to "LAND CRUISER PTO WINCH" on ebay you will find two being offered at this time with a "buy now" price of 3,200+.

Has all 5 of the rare factory original Toyota wheels and factory stainless Toyota hub caps.

Very rare factory Toyota tire jack and tools.

Very rare factory installed Toyota grill guard.

Factory optional original tow bar.

Factory original rear hitch and step plate.

All braces and cross beams on underside of body are free from rust. Has only the usual surface rust we would expect from a FJ this old.

Frame is in good condition with the usual surface. All glass is intact. Tires are good enough for towing with tow bar with 20% tread remaining.

This FJ was used mostly for Elk hunting in Colorado. It shows 75,000 miles on the odometer but actual miles is unkown and is exempt for mileage due to age.  Many of the miles were tow miles behind motorhome from Oklahoma to Colorado. The last time it was tagged was 17 yrs ago in 1996.

Good Oklahoma title.

This FJ is a 1 owner vehicle since new until I purchased it in March 2013.

Many years ago a cheap repaint was performed and presently has serious pealing issues. The factory original color was white.

Has the original 135 HP six cylinder engine with 3 speed transmission on the column.

The metal top is rust free ( surface rust only ) and fiberglass roof panel is excellent with good rain gutter. There is no evidence of rust in the drivers or passanger door.

I've have described this FJ to the very best of my knowledge, however there is no warranty implied or expressed.

Delivery is possible for a fee but not guaranteed. Arrangements must be made prior to end of auction, otherwise buyer is responsible for all shipping.

Fernando Alonso will drive for McLaren in F1, Toyota at Le Mans, WEC

Tue, Jan 30 2018

Fernando Alonso will drive for Toyota in this year's Le Mans 24-hour race and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), his McLaren Formula One team said on Tuesday. The Spanish double F1 world champion has been considering taking part in endurance events as he bids to emulate Graham Hill, the late Briton who won the Formula One world title, Indianapolis 500 and Le Mans in the 1960s. "I've never been shy about my aim of winning motorsport's Triple Crown — the Monaco Grand Prix, the Indy 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. We tried for Indy last year, came close, but just missed out," Alonso said in a statement. "This year, I have the chance thanks to McLaren to race for the win at Le Mans. It is a big challenge — much can go wrong — but I am ready, prepared and looking forward to the fight." Following his appearance in the 24 Hours of Daytona last week, a deal has been reached with Toyota for the 36-year-old Alonso to take part in as many WEC rounds as possible. McLaren and Alonso have agreed, however, that Formula 1 remains their shared priority and he will miss the Japanese leg of the WEC season on Oct. 21 due to it clashing with the U.S. Formula One Grand Prix. Midsize Sedan Comparison | Honda Accord vs. Toyota Camry vs. Mazda6

Tue, Jul 24 2018

The rumors of the midsize sedan's death have been greatly exaggerated. The 2018 Honda Accord and 2018 Toyota Camry together moved more than 262,000 units through May of this year, which is still a ton of cars. Then again, both are down year-over-year despite being completely, and quite impressively, redesigned for 2018. So yes, the midsize sedan's grip on family transportation is weakening. Ford certainly thinks so, yet this change in consumer preferences comes at a time when the current crop of sedans is sensational. They're bigger and more powerful, yet also more efficient. Safety scores are impeccable. They even look better than ever. So before running out to score one of the bajillion little SUVs flooding the market, why not ponder this trio of midsize sedan all-stars that might actually work better? Over the course of three consecutive weeks we tested the 2018 Camry XSE V6, 2018 Accord Touring 2.0T and the perennial critical-darling 2018 Mazda6 Signature. The latter was thoroughly overhauled and, perhaps as such, bucked the segment trend by actually selling more in June this year. Each was a range-topping trim level with all the bells and whistles, plus the most powerful engine available. Really, you couldn't find cars closer in power, price and feature content. View 57 Photos Performance and fuel economy Toyota bucked the turbocharged trend by sticking with naturally aspirated engines for the 2018 Camry, and when it comes to its 3.5-liter V6, it's sure hard to argue with that decision. For starters, it produces 301 horsepower. Let that sink in for a moment. A 301-hp Toyota Camry. That crushes the others, while its 267 pound-feet of torque is only 6 less than the Accord. This is a strong, smooth engine that only gets better when you realize it matches the 26-mpg combined fuel economy of the others. Honda, meanwhile, followed the masses by switching to a turbocharged four-cylinder for the Accord's engine upgrade (and its base engine, for that matter). Though its 252 hp is considerably down on the Camry and its 271 lb-ft is only a smidgen more, the Accord's torque arrives earlier in the rev range without feeling overtly turbocharged. It also has 143 fewer pounds to contend with. When wrung out, this new 2.0-liter belts out a beautiful, typically Honda song made possible by the smart 10-speed automatic (the base 1.5-liter is paired to a CVT that results in more drone than mechanical music) that thankfully doesn't draw much attention to itself.
