I have for your consideration a 2002 Toyota Highlander Limited FWD SUV. Finished in Rich Ebony Black with Sandstone leather trimmed interior. This was the flagship Highlander. All the bells and whistles including Moonroof, climate control AC, Perforated leather, power everything and too much more to list. The interior in this SUV is breathtaking in every detail...rich sumptuous leathers and high end trim everywhere...this baby looks to me every bit as nice as any Lexus. My wife is the second owner, has pampered and enjoyed this beauty for over 40000 miles. All original paint work and body parts. As straight as they come. Not perfect, a nick here and a ding there but all original. We have serviced the engine with Mobil One Synthetic oil every 5000 miles. Never any rough stuff and this beauty shows it...just look carefully at the pictures and I am sure you will agree. I just put a set of brand new Eco-friendly Yokohama Avid Ascend BluEarth Tires on the SUV. Awesome tires! New AAA 3 year free replacement Battery too. This one is ready to go. South Florida born and raised...easy winters and lots of sunshine. I am located in Miami, Florida. The car is located in Miami, Florida. The clean title is located in Miami, Florida. I have this SUV for sale locally and reserve the right to end this auction at any time. I would be pleased to consider your offer for immediate purchase so call me. Toyota nears $40B cash reserve as calls grow for new investment, payouts

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

With the April 15 tax deadline just a few months away, our US readers will be faced with a decision should they get a refund: save or spend? It seems this issue is one many of us face whenever there's a windfall, trying to decide whether we should set the money aside in an account of some sort or use it as a down payment on a new car or a trip to the Apple store. Unsurprisingly, major corporations face a similar, albeit more complex, issue.
Take Toyota, for example. With President Akio Toyoda at the helm, the Japanese manufacturer has gracefully weathered recalls and natural disasters, all while turning beaucoup profits. Last quarter, profits quintupled to 434.4-billion yen ($4.3-billion USD), according to Bloomberg. Toyota also upped its forecast for the end of fiscal year 2013 (which ends on March 31 for Japan), to a record 1.9-trillion yen (about $18.8 billion). Now, the Japanese brand is reportedly sitting on a cash pile of nearly $40 billion, leaving Toyoda-san in an envious predicament - what should the company do with all that money?
Some think Toyota should be doing something, anything with that big stack of cash.

NHTSA may investigate new Toyota unintended acceleration case

Mon, Jul 13 2015

After paying a $1.2-billion settlement to the US government last year, Toyota largely put the unintended acceleration recall behind it. Although, there were still some civil lawsuits to handle. A new case where the owner of a 2009 Lexus ES350 is petitioning the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to open another analysis could draw the issue back to the forefront. Investigators are still deciding whether to research these claims further, though. According to this petition, the owner's wife was driving the ES350 in February 2015. While pulling into a parking space, the sedan allegedly surged forward, and there was a low-speed accident. The claim asserts there are at least two other similar cases in NHTSA's database: one in a 2009 Camry in 2009 and another in a 2010 Corolla in 2014. Specifically, this person wants an "investigation into low-speed surging in different models of Toyota automobiles in which the car starts accelerating and the engine RPM increases even when the accelerator pedal is not depressed," according to the agency. NHTSA will do further research into this person's claim and will decide whether to conduct a full investigation into the alleged issue. This won't be the first reappraisal of unintended acceleration in Toyotas by the agency in recent months, though. Between September 2014 and May 2015, NHTSA evaluated a similar petition with allegations covering 2006-2010 Corollas, and the government body decided to deny that one because the problem couldn't be replicated. The petition was prompted by a February 2015 crash involving a model year (MY) 2009 Lexus ES350, which allegedly surged as the petitioner's wife was pulling into a parking spot.

Toyota builds world's first 'outdoor website' for RAV4 promo

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

This whole thing started with the premise that Toyota's target RAV4 buyers are people who spend their time cycling, hiking, and generally not in front of computer screens. These people are therefore not able to benefit from the full website experience that Toyota has built for the RAV4. We should clarify that the video below is for Toyota South Africa, and maybe RAV4 buyers there really are the disgustingly outdoorsy ideal that us bacon-eaters are not living up to.
Toyota's agency partner, Hello Computer, set up a 1.8-kilometer track at a cycle park that replicated sections of the automaker's website with real physical displays and interactive feedback. Riders were asked to leave their mouses and hit the trail on a mountain bike to experience the RAV4 Outdoor Website and learn about the vehicle.
That seems like a lot of effort for something that's available on the smartphones of these hyper-active people who aren't in front of computers, but hooray for creatively conquering a problem that didn't exist. Hey, let's not be complete wet blankets - maybe some of the cyclists that ran the Toyota gauntlet got a RAV4 for their to- and fro-ing after the experience. Check out the video of the outdoor website below.
