2008 Toyota Fj Cruiser, Trail Teams Edition, 6 Speed Stick, Loaded With Options on 2040-cars
Poughkeepsie, New York, United States
This is my 2008 Toyota Trail Teams Special Edition, with rare 6 speed
stick, 68,000 miles. and is one of the cleanest vehicles you will find. Kelley Blue Book value is $22,159 with the options this truck has and is a private party sell price - NOT a retail price.
I am very particular about my cars. It still has the balance of the
certified warranty on the power-train up to 100,000 miles or 7 years from date of purchase. No dings, no dents and no
scratches. It's clean. Rear seat has never been sat in. Passenger
seat has only been sat in a handful of times. Color is White on White,
which is a rare, factory option, and only available on the Trail Teams
Edition. I have always had seat covers on the front seats to protect
them, so they are prefect. If you look closely in the pictures, you will
see the seat covers are still on the car, so it's the cover you see
that is worn and NOT the seat itself. I have driven this vehicle since
it was purchased certified pre-owned form Toyota with upper twenty
something thousand miles as a daily driver. I waited for the longest
time to find one of these, because it comes with all of the options
Toyota offered in the FJ in 2008. All factory options and NONE are
aftermarket: Built in Boom Box, Trail Teams Badges, Roof Rack, Manual
Transmission, Arctic White on White Paint, TRD(Toyota Racing Division)
Black Out Wheels, Off Road Tires, Rock Bars, Off Road Head Lights, Rear
Diff. Lock, All Time All-Wheel Drive, Air Conditioning, Parking Sensors,
AM/FM/CD, Compass on dash with Camber/Piths Gauges, Anti-Slip Traction
Control, Outdoor Temp, 4X4 Low Range, Skid Plates on Both Front and Rear
of the Vehicle, Tow Package, Rubber Winter Mats including in the back
cargo area, in-dash 6 Disk CD Player, Auxiliary input for iPod or other,
6 speed standard transmission and more. The truck is immaculate and
has never been modified or been off road. Never has been in an
accident. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like
to see it. I am ONLY selling to buy a new pickup truck as I need
something larger for work. Doubt you will find a cleaner truck. If you
know anything about the Toyota FJ, Trail Teams Package, they are very
and are sought after. There was only one per dealership allowed, they
are extremely hard to come by, and bring a premium when you find one. I
think I am asking a fair price as what I have found others have been
selling for much more. Take a look on eBay and they are looking for
quite a bit more than my asking price.

Economy-car buyers increasingly get the best deal on technology
Mon, Apr 16 2018One of the great things about technology is – with the exception of Apple products – consumers get more for their money every year. For example, the first 1GB USB drive I bought in 2005 cost me $30. Today you can get 10 for that price, delivered to your door thanks to Amazon. The same goes for car tech. Features such as navigation and Bluetooth started out on high-end vehicles before trickling down to entry-level cars. Same with driver assist features ranging from rearview cameras to forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking — so now it's not only rich people who are protected in car crashes. I've found that this democratization of tech has reached a point where amenities on low-cost cars can be as good — and sometimes even better — than those on vehicles costing tens of thousands of dollars more. While attending a media event for the launch of the all-new 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, I was impressed by the car's cool styling and go-kart performance. Equally noteworthy is the amount of standard tech on the low-cost hot hatch. (Pricing will be announced later this month, but expect it to come in a bit higher that the current Corolla iM's roughly $19,000 base.) Even the base SE CVT trim of the 2019 Corolla Hatchback comes with an 8-inch touchscreen and Toyota's Entune 3.0 infotainment system. Among other features, Entune 3.0 provides Wi-Fi capability, Amazon Alexa connectivity, the Entune App Suite for integration of smartphone apps such as Pandora and Yelp and, for the first time in a Toyota, Apple CarPlay (but no Android Auto). The 2019 Corolla Hatchback is also the first North American vehicle to get the second-generation Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) suite of driver assists that's also standard on the base model. TSS 2.0 includes Toyota's Pre-Collision System (forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking) with new daytime and low-light pedestrian detection and daytime cyclist detection features, lane keeping and lane departure alert with steering assist, auto high beams, adaptive cruise control, and road sign detection. While the 2019 Corolla Hatchback sets a new benchmark in standard tech on a budget-mobile, competing cars aren't far behind. The 2018 Honda Fit LX, for example, includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and assist and adaptive cruise, while the automaker's Lane Departure Mitigation and Lane Watch camera system is added the two top trims.
Are Toyota and Lexus planning to use Mazda's straight-six and new platform?
Thu, Jun 20 2019Japan's Best Car magazine has what appears to be a whopper of a rumor. The mag said it scooped Mazda's development of a straight-six engine that Mazda only revealed in March, the carmaker having buried the information in a financial statement. By way of Lexus Enthusiast and according to Google translate, Best Car writes that as it was speaking to a Toyota source on an unrelated matter, the magazine found out that Mazda's work on the straight-six was predicated on the engine's use in Toyota Group vehicles, which includes Lexus. Here's the account of how the engine and Mazda's coming front-engined rear-drive platform, dubbed "Large Architecture," will make their way to Toyota City: The first appearance for the straight-six, predicted to come in at a hair under 3.0 liters, is the Mazda Atenza/Mazda6 successor coming around 2022. The powertrain will get a 48-volt hybrid system for increased fuel economy, and the automaker's said to be considering a plug-in hybrid version. Toyota's first shot at the platform and the straight-six will be whatever fills the slot of the Japanese-market Mark-X sedan. We once had a version of the Mark-X in the U.S. as the Toyota Cressida. In Japan, it's sold as a rear- and all-wheel drive option to the Camry. The Mark-X is slated to end production in December this year — a "sporty four-door coupe" on Mazda's platform and with Mazda's engine eventually taking its place. Lexus has a number of plans for the components from Hiroshima. The next Lexus IS is said to evolve from the current sedan, using a Lexus V6 but migrating to Toyota's TNGA platform. Best Car says the IS after that, perhaps sometime around 2026, will hop onto Mazda's new platform and use the inline-six engine. Before that, the replacement for the Lexus RC in 2022 will sit on the Mazda platform and get that inline-six. What's more, Lexus will introduce a new model to slot between the $64,750 RC and the $92,950 LC employing Mazda's architecture and engine. Best Car says the model will act as a "next car" for RC owners, but we can't tell if the magazine means a two-door or a four-door coupe; the article also says the Lexus model will compete with the Audi A7. Toyota and Mazda partnered up in 2016 on technology sharing. Best Car's take is that, as was done on the Supra, Toyota is picking up all the tech it can from suitable sources so that it can continue to sell models that don't make sense to develop alone.
Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]
Wed, 20 Aug 2014No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:
