HI, up for sale is a very clean and very well cared for 2007 FJ Cruiser 4x4. I have personally owned this and treated it like my baby. washed every week by hand, waxed every 3 months. Non smoker, no pets it has no oders inside. Only reason for selling is I need the money for a new roof on my house.  I am a ASE Master auto mechanic and have taken very well care of this with all services and maintenance done before or on there service intervals. oil changed every 3000 miles with mobil 1 oil and dealer oil filter, ALL fluids in entire vehicle changed every 30k. spark plugs changed at 30k and 60k. five new tires last year, 285/70-/17 brigestone dueler revo.  brakes new last year with hevy duty pads and rotors.  shocks replaced 2 years ago with bilstien 5100 series, at that time I put OLD MAN EMU 2.5 inch front lift coils and 1 inch lift in rear. It sits nice and leval and rides better than factory ride. This rides perfect no shakes, pulls, or rough ride. alighnment was performed and perfect. I am very picky and I assure you this FJ rides great and is in tip top order, being a mechanic I don't settle for anything less than perfect on my cars.has power window, power lock, cruise, auto trans,6 disc cd, locking rear diff, A-Track, backup sensors, 115volt rear plug. See Pictures It has a lot of nice add on accessories, including, light bar, 2 sets of lights, step bars, brush guard, Gobi rear ladder, front lower skid shield, tinted windows, hood vinal blackout (removable) trd cleanable air filter, tow package with heavy duty factory trans cooler.  wheels are factory 17in wheels that I had professionally painted with 2 stage collar and clear coat paint, not spray painted. Truck is florida truck and shows like new, has absolutely no rust. It has never been offroad use or in mud, or rock climbed like most of them on ebay will be. it was street driven only, look at pictures undercarriage still looks like new.   paint and body are in excellent condition, no fading of the paint, no sun damage, I always used sunshade when parked. body has NO dents or dings, paint has NO scratches other than a few light scuffs that are only on surface of paint and would probably buff off. only one touch up to paint on passenger rear door the size of a small pee. It was professionaly touched up with color coat and clear coat then wet sanded and buffed so it is smooth to the touch, Hardly noticeable. a few light scuffs to the plastic in the cargo area and a few light scratches to the black plastic on the bumpers, non in the paint. THEY ALL HAVE THIS on used FJ, I work at a dealer and see a lot of these. Overall it looks very well for a 2007, pretty much like new but I wanted to point everything out. The FJ has been in NO Accidents,  But apparently it shows a accident on the report that I wasn't even aware off until now.  Let me explain. I was sitting at a red light one day and a girl on a MOPED bumped into the back of me and hit the left rear tire and the silver bumper end. the girl fell over on the MOPED and got hurt so the police came out and did a report.  I had no Idea this was going to show up now as accident reported. THE FJ HAD NO DAMAGE, other than a scrape in the plastic on the left silver part of the bumper, the scrape annoyed me so I replaced the silver end cap on the bumper. I assure you everything stated is the truth, I have sold many cars and things on ebay, look at my 100% feedback. I already was offered $17,500 for trade in at CarMax, but I don't want to sell it for trade IN value because it is very clean and needs Nothing. Kelly blue book private party value is over $19,000.  I have about 50 pictures if interested I can send to email, probably will not have all pictures on ebay listing. any question ask. I have a clean and clear title in hand. Do not bid if you do not have the money or loan pre approval.  FJ can be seen or inspected at my location anytime.  FJ is also listed on craigslist so first money in my hand gets it, will be removed from ebay if sold locally.

Did Lexus make a BMW? Or did BMW make a Lexus? This and other 2017 surprises

Fri, Dec 29 2017

It's that time of year again. The calendar is about to reach its end, Star Trek Cats 2018 is about to take its place, and I'm reflecting about all the cars that graced my driveway this year or summoned me to exotic places. You know, like Stuttgart or Phoenix. In 2017, I drove at least 57, and as I perused the list of them, I started to notice a common refrain: "This car surprised me." Most were pleasant surprises, but there were a few head scratchers and facepalms for good measure. In both cases, it was generally the result of car companies seemingly trying to break out of an existing mold. Nowhere was that more apparent than the pair of Lexuses slathered in Infrared paint: The LS 500 that left me this week and the LC 500 that was my favorite car of 2017. Though Lexus has been trying to shake its crusty, gold-packaged reputation for some time now, its efforts always seemed like an old man choosing Hollister to redo his wardrobe after realizing it hasn't been updated since 1987. I fell in love with the LC, genuinely floored by its near-perfect take on the GT. It's characterful in sound, appearance and tactility. It was at home in the city, in the mountain and on the open road. It was both comfortable and thrilling, and after driving the mechanically related LS 500, I can report that the LC's talents aren't an outlier. The LS 500's turbo V6 may make different noises than the LC's naturally aspirated V8, but it nevertheless invigorates the cabin when the car is placed in Sport+ mode. The steering is truly communicative, body motions are kept in miraculous check, and I absolutely forgot I was in an enormous luxury limo ... and a Lexus one at that. It was everything that the BMW 530e was not. I drove that on the exact same roads and was utterly bored the entire time. Generally doughy, lifeless steering, more distant than Planet 9. And no, the plug-in hybrid powertrain had nothing to do with that. At least it shouldn't. The Porsche Panamera S e-Hybrid I also drove this year proves that, as do the Hyundai Ioniqs, which are surprisingly adept and fun little cars regardless of what powers their wheels (Hyundai + hybrid = fun really blew me away). I would drive that Lexus LS F Sport over the BMW 5 Series any day of the week, which seems like a shocking thing to say in relation to either car. While Lexus is seemingly breaking out of its old crusty mold, BMW seems to be climbing into one.

Toyota Prius line may not reach 2013 sales target

Mon, 22 Apr 2013

2012 was a good year for the Toyota Prius line, the hybrid that started it all moving 236,659 units, being the best-selling model in California for the year and the Prius C (pictured) being deemed the most reliable car of 2012 by Consumer Reports. Then 2013 happened, and gas prices dropped more than expected, and people haven't been buying the little hybrids like they used to.
A report in Bloomberg says Toyota set 250,000 units as the Prius family's sales target for this year, but hits like the double-digit drop in year-on-year performance in February have helped lower 2013 sales by 8.4 percent compared to 2012, making the objective "a challenge" to reach. The declines in Prius sales come even as hybrid sales overall were up in the first couple of months this year, including sales of other Toyota and Lexus hybrids. Jim Lentz, Toyota's North American chief, said the Prius target would be adjusted if necessary.

Consumer Reports calls on Toyota to recall older Camry Hybrid models

Thu, 31 Jul 2014

Consumer Reports is calling on Toyota to issue an official recall of 178,000 Camry Hybrid sedans from model years 2007 to 2011, claiming that a pair of issues affecting the brakes are so dire they demand a more official action than what the company has undertaken so far.
The first issue, as CR tells it, relates to a clog in the brake-fluid reservoir filter, which if left untreated could lead to a number of dashboard warning lights. The "front brake assist could be temporarily lost," too, according to Toyota's own notice to dealers and owners of affected models. The company has issued a "service campaign" that will fit a new brake-fluid reservoir free of charge to any affected model brought to a dealer by June 30, 2017.
The other issue plaguing the fuel-sipping Camrys is being treated via a warranty extension, and focuses on the ABS brake actuator, a particularly expensive (both in terms of parts, at $1,000, and labor, around $3,000) item that is necessary for the anti-lock braking to function. There's also a related issue with the brake pedal's "stroke sensor," which like the actuator can lead to a very difficult-to-depress brake pedal. The warranty extension increases the coverage of the actuator to 10 years or 150,000 miles (whichever comes first).
