I have a 1996 Toyota Corolla for sale. It's a 4cyl with a 1.6L engine. It's an automatic with 180,000 miles. I've owned the car since 2007 and used it to drive to school and work. The car has been very well maintained, oil changes (Quaker State 5w-30) every 3000 miles and maintenance was never put off. I am very proactive with maintenance and would change or upgrade parts even if the car didn't need it. It has a lot of new parts installed and I've included extra parts that have not been installed. I also have maintenance records and repair manuals. The owners manual is also included. In one of the pictures you can see how clean the cams are with the valve cover off. The interior is nice, normal wear and tear. I always had seat covers on the front and back seats. It has an aftermarket Sony CD player and Sony rear speakers. The body is in okay shape. I had it painted black in 2007 (originally champagne color) but it got egged by some kids so there are marks from that. The paint is also starting to chip in certain places, I've included a picture of the worst spot. It has some minor dings and the left fender is bent. Overall it doesn't look bad, no bondo and it's never been in an accident. The car has a clean title. I was looking for a newer car on and off and I finally found something I like so I've decided to sell this one. It is going for California smog on Thursday and I do have the factory air box for smog. I know it will pass but I will confirm it after the test on Thursday. If you're from the area and would like to test drive it please message me to setup a time. You will need a valid drivers license to test drive it. If you have any questions please email me. $150 deposit due at the close of auction and then the rest cash or money order. The full amount must be paid within 7 days of auction close, and the car must be picked up within 30 days of sale.
Thank you.

Momkhana goes drifting with a V8 minivan in the 'burbs

Thu, Feb 19 2015

Ken Block probably never expected that he would launch countless imitators when he released Gymkhana years ago, but by now we've seen the concept broadened for everything from toy cars to Crazy Carts. The latest parody is Momkhana, and it moves the setting to the suburbs for a trip to the shoe store. Before you completely write off the idea, though, keep in mind the vehicle making the commute is a drift-happy, rear-wheel drive Toyota Sienna boasting an LS3 V8 with an estimated 550 horsepower. The significant increase in muscle certainly makes a drive to the strip mall a lot more entertaining. In addition to the engine transplant, the minivan gets a massive handbrake to allow for big slides through the neighborhood. The clip replicates many of the classic stunts from Block's Gymkhana videos but in new, rather absurd surroundings. So instead of long, smoky donuts in a warehouse, they happen at the end of a cul-de-sac. If you're curious to see how the video was done, Famous Footwear, which created the clip, also made a featurette showing off some of the van's preparation and filming behind the scenes. Toyota GT86 GT4 racer is ready for UK competition

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

It's about time we saw someone cook up a legitimate race version of the delectable Toyota GT86, and now it looks as if GPRM has done just that. The Buckingham-based race engineering team has built the creation you see here, complete with a turbocharged 2.0-liter, direct-injection four-cylinder boxer cooked up by Nicholson McLaren Engines. The team says the new mill delivers between 360 and 400 horsepower to the rear wheels depending on final testing, which is a sight bit more than the 197 horses the naturally aspirated stock mill offers.
The car will compete in GT4 events, including the Avon Tyres British GT Championship. Technically, the GPRM effort isn't factory backed, but the team says the effort "has the blessing of Toyota Great Britain." How could it not? You can check out the brief press release below below, and be sure to take a closer look at the machine in our gallery.

Watch a Toyota Highlander ram a house, twice

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Toyota has had plenty of problems in recent years due to claims of unintended acceleration, and now here's a video that actually catches such a claim on video. The driver of this 2010-2013 Toyota Highlander claims that the crossover's accelerator got stuck causing the vehicle to slam into the house twice, and resulting in damage to the Highlander, the house and two vehicles inside the garage. While we don't know when this accident took place, the video was uploaded to YouTube back in January.
It is impossible to determine what actually happened in this video, but what we do know is that a security camera captures the Highlander slowly pulling into the driveway before it lunges forward slamming into the garage. With the tires squealing and metal crunching, the driver then shifts between reverse and drive a couple times causing even more property damage before spinning out in the street and finally being able to shift into Park. Scroll down to see the video for yourself. Whether unintended acceleration or driver error, this was undoubtedly a harrowing ordeal.
