This is an extremely clean well-maintained top-of-the-line 2007 Camry Hybrid.

The color is Magnetic Gray outside/graphite and light silver inside.

It has a Voice-Activated Factory Navigation System

Bluetooth Enabled

It has SELF tire & maintenance monitoring. i.e., it tells you if your tires are low or when you need an oil change.

ONE OWNER!         NOTE:  Carfax says two owners.  They say two owners because we refinanced the car and the bank "owned" the car for a year. That means the bank held the title and therefore they count as an "owner."  We have all the papers to show we have been the only "drivers."  We have the original bill of sale, refinance papers, all manuals and booklets, and original window sticker.

Leather seats--the front two are heated.

With its incredible informational displays with "energy flow" the car teaches you how to drive to get the best gas mileage possible.  Hypermiling for eco-driving is easier than you think!

Smart Key entry (just walk up to it and touch the handle with the key safely in your pocket or purse) and push button ignition.  We have both Smart Keys.

Auto sliding sunroof.

Premium audio JBL 4-disc/MP3 with 8 speakers (great sound).  Satellite Radio enabled.

Dual illuminated visor mirrors.

Dual-side-curtain, front and rear and driver's knee airbags--9 airbags overall.

Homelink Universal Transceiver (fancy words for a system that allows you to program 3 remotely controlled devices in your home as you drive up such as garage doors, lighting, or home security systems).

Gets 34-35 MPG town, up to 40 on the road. 83,900 miles (low).

All mechanical and interior in excellent condition.
It has had all scheduled maintenance and required oil changes. All mechanical records are available to see and are verifiable. The leather looks new.   It has brand new "Camry" labeled mats from the dealer.

This is a gently used car.  Any new rock ding was enough to send me into a tailspin.  The outside is clean and free of any major dings or scratches.  There are minor typical road rock dings and parking lot scratches BUT they have been touched up with Camry dealer factory touch-up paint when I found them and can hardly be seen.

No accidents.

Non-smoker.

Always garaged.

I have a CARFAX in hand for you to peruse--I can email it to you if you would like more than what Experian offers although it is basically the same information.

New tires 4/2012.

Back seat lays down for trunk access from the back seat (see photo) and for carrying long items.  It has a huge trunk and the cabin is extremely roomy.  (With lots of blankets and cushioning my husband got 8ft 2x4 boards in the car for a construction project.)

We bought an SUV for travelling cross country but I have to admit I will miss this car terribly.  The gas mileage is awesome.  My husband has threatened to black tape the gas mileage indicator in my new Highlander.

I have the title in hand.

Blue book/CARFAX abt: $13,900. Sell: $12,900. Negotiable.

When a Ferrari and a Toyota GT86 get jiggy, strange things happen

Fri, Jul 8 2016

Swapping V8s into small Japanese cars is not new. In fact, swapping V8s into small sportscars from anywhere is not new. From the original Cobra to the modern FR-S and BRZ, big V8 power in a light, lithe chassis has been delicious combination rivaling the Reese's peanut butter cup. People familiar with these swaps know that American iron is the preferred source for large-displacement grunt, but Ryan Tuerck and Gumout have taken a different route, specifically from Italy. Replacing the 2.0-liter flat-4 of this Toyota GT86 is a Ferrari F136 V8. Unfortunately that's about the only detail we really know about this project. The F136 was used in the F430, California and 458 Italia, and all with varying displacement and output. So we don't even know which of those variants this engine is. If it came from a California, that'd at least make the front-engine location easier to fabricate. No matter though, it's still a Ferrari engine in a small car, and that's awesome. And Donut Media, the company that produced the video, promises more details down the road. In the meantime, enjoy this video preview of the project. Toyota builds world's first 'outdoor website' for RAV4 promo

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

This whole thing started with the premise that Toyota's target RAV4 buyers are people who spend their time cycling, hiking, and generally not in front of computer screens. These people are therefore not able to benefit from the full website experience that Toyota has built for the RAV4. We should clarify that the video below is for Toyota South Africa, and maybe RAV4 buyers there really are the disgustingly outdoorsy ideal that us bacon-eaters are not living up to.
Toyota's agency partner, Hello Computer, set up a 1.8-kilometer track at a cycle park that replicated sections of the automaker's website with real physical displays and interactive feedback. Riders were asked to leave their mouses and hit the trail on a mountain bike to experience the RAV4 Outdoor Website and learn about the vehicle.
That seems like a lot of effort for something that's available on the smartphones of these hyper-active people who aren't in front of computers, but hooray for creatively conquering a problem that didn't exist. Hey, let's not be complete wet blankets - maybe some of the cyclists that ran the Toyota gauntlet got a RAV4 for their to- and fro-ing after the experience. Check out the video of the outdoor website below.

Lexus planning a hydrogen fuel-cell LS by 2017

Sun, Jan 4 2015

Toyota's Fuel Cell System will certainly migrate to other vehicles in the carmaker's lineup, but Australian car site Motoring reports that one of the models at the head of the queue is the Lexus LS. According to its sources, the executive barge powered by hydrogen will be released by 2017 and take the top spot in the range, rolling in above the LS Hybrid. We're told that Toyota engineers will find a way to slide two hydrogen tanks into its bodywork with the same general setup as on the Mirai – one under the rear seats and another under the rear parcel shelf. The 150-kW fuel cell stack will be placed under the front seats. Motoring says the resulting sedan and its 220-kW electric motor would come in "at around 2,100 kg," which is 4,620 pounds; that's a ginormous 539 pounds less than the listed curb weight of the current LS Hybrid, and 387 pounds more than the standard LS. Assuming all goes as planned, it would have a range of roughly 238 miles, a few dozens less than the Mirai's range of about 300 miles. It would look slightly different, too, the front end getting larger intakes to cool the power unit. It wouldn't surprise us if Lexus does have a hydrogen LS planned – it would be a statement car, and the company likes making statements, even if few heed them; it has stuck with its LS 600h for the past seven years, yet of the 7,539 LS models sold through the end of November this year, only 61 of them were hybrids. The timing would be intriguing, however; by the time the LS hybrid came out, Lexus had already worked over its filet-and-potatoes models. And if the hydrogen version is going to come in above the $120,440 hybrid, well, that will be a statement indeed.
