1995 Suzuki Samurai JL

Rare - Hard to find year !!  Last year the Samurai was sold in the USA - It's like finding a Unicorn.
Well Cared For with 52,300 ORIGINAL miles

Vehicle is in great condition - turns heads and gets "thumbs up" all day as you go down the road.

DON'T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY !!

This Vehicle was picked up about 14 years ago by my Father at a dealership when it had just over 10K miles on it.  He used it just to putt around his country home and the occasional backup vehicle.  My Sister drove it a few months at College (sorry Sis!! you don't get to have your College 4x4 that made the guys chase you and girls beg for rides) - Few years ago I took it under my wing.

A Clean 4x4 rig just in time for Summer !!  the perfect Summer ride.  Top Off and Footloose playing loud.

A few upgrades were made to it by me over the years.

3 inch lift - Old Man Emu springs front and back (2 1/2 inches) + Spidertrax Aluminum Shackles (1/2 lift).
30x9.5 BFG all terrain tires (no rub)
Power Steering - TC Style high flow pump, aluminum HeatSink Cooler, 1995 Suzuki Sidekick Rebuilt pump, drop pitman arm - Steering Setup was done correctly with all the right parts.
Tuffy Security Center Console
Wet Okole exact fit seat covers - water proof neoprene
CD Player radio with input jack (link up Pandora through your Smart Phone).
Accelerometer / Inclinometer gauge added
ZOR front bumper brush guard - I had it professionally powder coated.
New Exhaust (OEM style)

Other features
Vehicle has Towing ball and connector
Optima Battery (deep cycle Yellow Top) - Spidertrax aluminum hold down.
All 5 tires have excellent tread depth
Comes with the full soft top, comes with a bikini top and rear tonneau cover, and a Besttop fastback top (the one that doesn't require the bar) - there is a tear in that extra fastback top winder that has some clear package tape on it (but that's a backup top for quick enclosure with out using the bar if you want.

There is a small ding in the front bumper passenger side, some tears in driver side seat base (was there when my Father bought it, so we added seat covers).  Some minor surface rust on undercarage - mostly on skid plate I added and after market springs/shocks.

Winning Bidder - $500 non-refundable down payment due within 48 hours of end of action - the balance due in cash upon pickup.  Pickup must be within 10 days of end of action.  Drive it home - fly in, drive out.

The vehicle registration is up to date, passed all washington state emissions, have Original Owners manual, have Clear washington state title in my hand (yes in my name).  Will provide a bill of sale as well.  Vehicle located in Maple Valley, WA

DO NOT bid if you do not have the funds ready and available.  I will not ship, I will not take more than the winning price in some sort of scam to send you back something.  I will not re-negociate the price when you show up - looking for an honest buyer from an honest seller.
selling "as is" "where is" no returns, no moaning, no warranty written or implied.

Junkyard Gem: 1997 Geo Metro LSi

Mon, Apr 22 2024

General Motors created the Geo brand in order to sell cars built in partnership with Suzuki, Isuzu and Toyota in the United States, and Geo-badged machinery was sold from the 1989 through 1997 model years. Today's Junkyard Gem, found in a New Orleans self-service boneyard recently, is one of the very last Geos ever built. There was always a close relationship between Geo and Chevrolet, which GM demonstrated by sneaking the Chevrolet bowtie into the Geo logo. The first three Geo-branded models began their careers with Chevrolet badging before getting Geo-ized for 1989. The Spectrum, twin to the Isuzu I-Mark, was a Chevrolet from 1985 through 1988. The 1985-1988 Chevrolet Sprint was a badge-engineered first-generation Suzuki Cultus, with its second-generation successor becoming the Geo Metro. The Prizm was a NUMMI-built Toyota Corolla Sprinter, which replaced the Sprinter-based 1985-1987 Chevrolet Nova. The Daewoo-built Pontiac LeMans never became a Geo, presumably because its ancestry was South Korean rather than Japanese. In 1989, Geo added the Storm (Isuzu Impulse), followed by the Tracker (Suzuki Sidekick) as a 1990 model. In December 1996, GM announced that the Geo brand would get the axe in the fall of 1997, with the Prizm, Tracker and Metro becoming Chevrolets. This car was built at CAMI Automotive in Canada in May 1997, making it one of the final handful of Geos assembled. The Chevrolet Metro stuck around through 2001. For its final model year, the Geo Metro was available with one of two trim levels: base and LSi. This car is an LSi three-door hatchback, which had an MSRP of $9,180 ($17,906 in 2024 dollars). The base three-door hatchback for 1997 listed at $8,580, or $16,735 after inflation. The most important difference between the base and LSi versions was found under the hood. The base Metro got a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine rated at 55 horsepower and 58 pound-feet, while the LSi got the 1.3-liter "big-block" four-cylinder with 70 horses and 74 pound-feet. I owned a '96 Metro with the four-banger for a brief period, and it wasn't quite intolerably slow. This car has the optional three-speed automatic, which added $595 ($1,161 today) to the price. It also has air conditioning and a Delco AM/FM radio, which were included as part of the $1,346 1SE option package ($2,625 in today's money). It was thus a boring but serviceable commuter car that sipped gas and got its job done for 27 years and 113,610 miles.

Japan's Suzuki, SkyDrive sign deal to develop, market 'flying cars'

Tue, Mar 22 2022

TOKYO — Japanese automaker Suzuki Motor Corp and 'flying car' firm SkyDrive Inc said on Tuesday they have signed a deal to team up in research, development and marketing of electric, vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. In a joint statement, the two companies said they will also work to open up new markets with an initial focus on India, where Suzuki has a roughly half share of the auto market. Suzuki announced on Sunday it plans to invest 104.4 billion rupees ($1.37 billion) in its India factory to produce electric vehicles and batteries. The companies didn't disclose details of investments in their partnership, nor outline any production timetable or target. Founded in 2018, Tokyo-headquartered SkyDrive counts big Japan businesses like trading house Itochu Corp, tech firm NEC Corp and a unit of energy company Eneos Holdings Inc among its main shareholders. In 2020 it raised 5.1 billion yen ($42 million) in total in Series B funds, according to its website. SkyDrive is currently engaged in the development of a compact, two-seating electric-powered flying car with plans for full-scale production. The statement did not say whether Suzuki would be working on this specific vehicle. The company, which is also developing cargo drones, aims to launch a 'flying car' service in Osaka in 2025 when the Japanese city hosts the World Expo. For Suzuki, the partnership will add 'flying cars' as a fourth mobility business, in addition to automobiles, motorcycles and outboard motors, the statement said. Suzuki previews Crosshiker, X-Lander, Hustler ahead of Tokyo

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

With the Tokyo Motor Show looming on the horizon, Suzuki has revealed a trio of concept cars it will present at the expo.
First up is the Crosshiker concept, a compact crossover that looks good enough in metallic red, but in its essence reminds us of the oft-maligned X-90 convertible crossover coupe. Based on the G70/Regina concept, the Crosshiker packs a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine into a compact form that weighs just 1,785 pounds.
Next comes the X-Lander, which strikes us as a smaller take on the formula espoused by the Isuzu VX-02 or Land Rover DC100 Sport concepts. Unfortunately based on the Jimny, the white X-Lander incorporates a 1.3-liter engine with a robotized manual and four-wheel drive into a high-riding, chopped-windshield convertible sport-ute form.
