Ford Mustang 302 Coupe

1970 FORD MUSTANG
302 Coupe
from
MustangBeginnings

Up for auction is a very complete original 1970 302 Mustang Coupe

In 1969, Ford created a completely new body for the Mustang giving the Mustang a new look with more muscle and a new image.

This 1970 White MUSTANG coupe is awesome.

The car has a 4 bbl
302 Windsor engine, but now
it has been upgraded with
Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads,
Edelbrock Valve Covers and 4 bbl intake, and
a 4 bbl Holly carburetor

The really hard work is already done!

It runs and drives and sounds great as you can see from the video.
Really all you need to redo is the interior and even that is not needed immediately.
If you need some help sourcing a new interior, no problem. Our shop, at Mustang Beginnings can help you select new seat covers, new carpet, and a new dash pad in the color of your choice.

This is absolutely one of the most collectible Mustangs
You could ever come across.

This car is an original California car. This car has spent its whole life in the Western United States, and as such the body is in great shape.

We repaired a couple of small dings here and there, and added the new paint.

We painted the car Wimbleton White and added a Black Out hood.

The engine compartment is in good shape and a number of details have been added to the engine to improve the appearance.
Unfortunately we have so many projects in our shop right now at Mustang Beginnings, we just don’t have the time to take this Beauty to completion. Our loss is your gain.

In addition to a new interior, the Mustang will need new tires, side view mirror. New chrome bumpers would make it even more stunning than it already is!!

With regard to the rest of the restoration process there are a lot of options to choose from. Here are just a couple of options to consider:
You could remake the car for TransAm racing because coupes were lighter than the fastbacks.
Or, you could stylize the coupe with a Shelby or Eleanor fiberglass package and make it into something really special.

As you can see, there are a lot of options to choose from when finishing this Mustang.
Go Concourse, Go Racing, Go Restomod, Go Shelby, Go Eleanor,

but no matter what

when you get behind the wheel of this beauty, you will enjoy driving again.

You are definitely going to
GO FAST.

Japanese motorcycles moving into forced induction

Sat, 30 Nov 2013

While turbocharging and supercharging may be nothing new in the automotive industry, motorcycle engines are almost always naturally aspirated. But even that's beginning to change. At the Tokyo Motor Show last week, two major Japanese companies showed off new forced-induction motorbike engines.
Kawasaki rolled in with a supercharged four-cylinder motorbike engine. It offered little in the way of details, disclosing only that the turbine blades were developed in-house to withstand the heat and vibration of spooling up at motorbike speeds.
Suzuki is taking a different approach, however. Its Recursion concept bike packs a turbocharged 588cc two-cylinder engine with a turbocharger and intercooler. The compact package churns out just under 100 horsepower and 74 pound-feet of torque, packaged into a motorbike that weighs just 384 pounds dry.

Suzuki considering Cappuccino revival?

Tue, 13 Aug 2013

It's not a secret that a few of us here at Autoblog have a crush on Japanese Kei cars. The diminutive sizes and cheeky looks of most of the segment are certainly endearing factors, but it was the sporting Kei cars of the 1990s that made for the most delicious forbidden fruit.
Suzuki's entry in that time and market space was the Cappuccino, a rear-wheel-drive coupe with a removable roof and roll bar, powered by a 657cc three-cylinder motor. The car hung around the Japanese market until 1997 (and was booted up in Gran Turismo form for years after that). Now, rumor has it that the little coupe could be getting a reboot around 2016.
The reports are still a bit short on detail; some indicate that a new Cappuccino could be built up on an existing Kei platform from Suzuki. If the new car were to keep the RWD layout of the original, however, that would mean building up the model on the live-rear-axle bones of the Suzuki Jimny or Carry.
