No large amounts of rust,Floors and Frame are solid. Has all its trim, All lights and horns work, Heat works well, Factory radio is flakey. Straight body minus a minor dent on hood. Great little run around unit. Some times when you start it the idle will be high, but just touch the pedal and it drops back down where it belongs. E brake works will too. Purchased from a retired couple 3 years back, and it has treated me very well. Starts good even in the Cold South Dakota winters. Great get around town car, even though I have taken it to Ft Collins a couple of times to see the grand baby. ( low cost on fuel ). Windshield is cracked, Exhaust is good from tip to tip. Runs a little rich once and a while ( so a new set of plugs would be a good idea )."

Smooth running little unit,  Fly into Rapid City and drive her home without a worry.  Miles are low for its age, I would ( and have ) drove this unit anywhere.  Dependable little run about, It will need a new windshield installed OR can drives as is. Come out drive it and you will be very pleased with it.   Just a good little buss around town gas and insurance saver.  Lots of life and miles in it yet.  No oil use is shown during oil changes.  I split the old oil filter open after each oil change ( I have done this all my life, Old farmer habit dies hard ) to check for metal flakes or other signs of wear or damages and its always clean and free of debrey.  No major repairs needed in the near future.  Buy it and drive unit here.

Fly into rapid city airport and I will have the car there waiting for you, Or drop by in Deadwood and pick it up.  I will work with transport companies or you to make this a simple as possible.  IF you pay by check the car will not leave until check clears, ( takes 9 working days).  The car will not leave until payments have cleared. I have done cars sales before and can walk you though it.  PLEASE no scammers.. Only one that makes money off of scammers is ebay on listing fees.

Please read above statements and have a look at pictures.  IF you are looking for a show car look further, IF you are looking for a daily ready to go driver, You found it, If you are looking for that car to teach someone how to drive, You found it, IF you are looking for a gas saver . You really scored here.  Great commuter, school car here.  Parts are ( if needed ) super easy to find and cheap too.

Thanks for looking....

New Suzuki Swift Sport to be lighter and torquier

Wed, Sep 13 2017

The Suzuki Swift Sport has been one of the most interesting hot hatches of the last decade, well at least outside the United States. Its first iteration was released in 2005, leaving behind its crummy Geo Metro guise in favor of something more in line dynamically with the segment best. Though it may have been an underdog from day one, the Swift Sport proved itself to be both fun and reliable The new car promises to up the ante with a stiffer structure and a footprint increased courtesy a 20 mm-longer wheelbase and a stance that's 40 mm wider and 15 mm lower. Power comes from a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder Suzuki cheekily calls the Boosterjet, ditching the old 1.6-liter naturally aspirated inline-4. The downsized, intercooled 138-horsepower turbo engine gives the Swift Sport only four more horsepower than the old unit, but there is a lot more torque available and at lower revs. Another major improvement is a weight loss of nearly 180 pounds -- definitely a big deal in a small car like this -- as the new model tips the scales at less than 2,140 lbs. Suzuki says the feel of the six-speed manual shifter has been improved, too. "It's lighter, sharper, quicker. It's more aggressive and emotive, but we've also refined the elements that make it practical to use every day," said Suzuki chief engineer Masao Kobori. "The clutch feel, the manual transmission shift throw, the seats and steering wheel -- everything that puts the driver at the heart of the experience." Sounds neat, though with Suzuki gone from the U.S. market, it'll remain forbidden fruit for American customers. On the other hand, you can apparently rent these in Germany. Nurburgring rental anyone? Suzuki and Daihatsu join Toyota electric vehicle venture

Wed, Jul 21 2021

TOKYO — Suzuki Motor Corp and Daihatsu are joining a commercial electric vehicle coalition led by Toyota Motor Corp, the carmakers announced on Wednesday, helping the Japanese alliance expand its focus from trucks to smaller cars. The two automakers will each acquire a 10% stake in the joint venture, on par with Isuzu Motors and Hino Motors, while Toyota will hold a 60% stake, they said. "With Suzuki and Daihatsu joining the project and working together, we'll be able to expand our circle of cooperation to not only cover commercial vehicles but also mini vehicles," said Toyota President Akio Toyoda. "With this expansion, I believe that we'll be able to take one step closer to a better mobility society," Toyoda said. The move comes as Japanese automakers face growing competition from tech giants and other rivals making electric and driverless cars. Toyota, Isuzu and Hino launched the Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation in April to bolster their competitive edge in connected, commercial vehicles. Daihatsu's president Soichiro Okudaira said joining the pact and introducing connected, mini-commercial vehicles would allow data sharing, a major benefit for companies to provide better services to customers and improve logistics efficiency. American Suzuki Motors files chapter 11, will no longer sell cars in the United States

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

As much as we knew it was a possibility, we have to say that Suzuki's announcement this afternoon that it is filing chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings caught us a bit off guard. American Suzuki Motor Corporation - the sole distributor of Suzuki automobiles in the United States - will realign its business to focus on motorcycles, ATVs and the marine market.
What does this mean in simple terms? In short, new Suzuki cars and trucks will no longer be sold by Suzuki in the United States once current supplies run out. Period.
Suzuki cites "low sales volumes, a limited number of models in its lineup, unfavorable foreign exchange rates, the high costs associated with growing and maintaining an automotive distribution system in the continental US and the disproportionally high and increasing costs associated with stringent state and federal regulatory requirements unique to the US market."
