Up for sale is my 2013 STi Limited Sedan in Satin White Pearl with 10,000 miles located in Northwest Indiana. This car has every stock option that can be purchased from Subaru factory installed (literally, every option). This includes navigation, homelink, the compact subwoofer in the trunk, carbon fiber accent pieces, STI front lip spoiler, color matched door bumpers, ambient red lighting system under the footwells, rear cupholder, bumper protector that you can fold out when loading the trunk to avoid bumper scratches... Everything.

This is the limited model, and has heated leather seats, power moonroof, and fog lights.

This is an adult owned / adult driven car and I am the original owner, with clear title in hand (no bank, this car is paid in full). I have the original manual, all keys, and original window sticker as well.

Most importantly, this STi is loaded with modifications for both reliability and power. All work was performed at P&L Motorsports in Chicago and was tuned by JRTuned. This car made 440WHP on E85 with one of the fastest spooling turbos on the market. Its a dream to drive, and can switch between premium gasoline and E85 with the push of a button using the included Cobb AccessPort. This car has no mechanical or cosmetic issues. This car has been garage kept since purchase, and has not been raced or tracked.  This car has been babied.

This car has well over $20,000 of work into it (with receipts to prove it) and cost over $47,000 new after options. Reason for selling is wife is pregnant and its time I got a family car (SUV).

This car burns no oil, and has no mechanical defects.

Buyer will also receive all stock parts (turbo, intercooler, etc.) - including an STP Exhaust.  This is nearly $2,000 of parts.

If you would like this car to be evaluated at an independent dealership or mechanic of your choosing, that's fine but it will be your expense. I will drive the car to your mechanic anywhere within reason (100 miles of Northwest Indiana, or so). I am also willing to ship but once again, buyer will bear this expense.

Subaru bringing new XV concept to Geneva

Tue, Feb 9 2016

The high-riding, Impreza-based Subaru Crosstrek is due for an update. So to whet our appetites, Subaru's showing a concept that previews the new XV. The concept will debut in Geneva, and it's being teased today in the image above. The Japanese automaker isn't saying much about what will go into the new XV Concept, and the teaser doesn't give us much to go on aside from an impression of body-cladded ruggedness. But it isn't hard to see what direction Subaru is going in here. It already revealed the Impreza 5-Door Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show last year, and the Impreza Sedan Concept in LA shortly thereafter, each previewing different bodystyles for Fuji Heavy's compact model. Like the Outback Sport before it, the Crosstrek is essentially a beefed-up version of the current Impreza. So we'd expect the new XV concept to follow a similar path, building upon the show cars we saw recently in Japan and California and taking them down a more rugged path for the European show. We'll look forward to seeing how it shapes up, but more than that, to seeing how Subaru implements the designs for production. The Subaru XV Concept will be unveiled at the press briefing scheduled for 11:15 AM (Central European Time) on March 1 at Subaru booth. BTW: Subaru's SHARC won the 2012 Design Challenge

Mon, 03 Dec 2012

Part of the festivities that encompass the LA Auto Show is the annual LA Design Challenge. This year's winner was the Subaru Highway Automated Response Concept, or SHARC. It envisioned automated, zero-emission highway patrolling.
The 2012 edition of the challenge was to envision the future of highway patrol in the year 2025. The goal was to conceptualize a vehicle that would account for the needs of "dynamic urban environments." In addition to Subaru's participation in the contest BMW, General Motors, Honda and Mercedes-Benz, all took part in the challenge.
The SHARC is essentially a law enforcement land-drone. It is entirely automated and runs on renewable energy. Subaru envisioned a future where the Hawaiian Islands are connected to each other by a large highway system. Such an expansive area would require considerable manpower to patrol. The concept of an autonomous patrol vehicle would eliminate the need for a good number of full-time personnel.

2019 Subaru Ascent Drivers' Notes Review | Subaru redux

Tue, Aug 7 2018

The 2019 Subaru Ascent is the follow-up to the odd and slow-selling Subaru Tribeca. From 2005 to 2014, Subaru sold just 76,774 Tribecas in the U.S. at a time when the company's sales as a whole were on a climb. As we put it in our first drive review, the Ascent can be considered a sort of mulligan. The new model comes out hot and heavy against strong three row competitors like the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Mazda CX-9 and American offerings like the Chevy Traverse and the Ford Explorer. Our tester is the top-shelf Touring trim. Standard features on the Ascent include Subaru's EyeSight driver assist technology, adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist, keyless entry, three-zone climate control and a turbocharged 2.4-liter flat-four mated to a CVT. Power, like nearly every Subaru, is sent to all-four wheels. For $45,670, the Ascent Touring nets you features like leather trim, power-adjustable front seating, a panoramic moonroof, LED lighting, a power opening rear gate and an upgraded audio system with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore: I found myself liking the Subaru Ascent much more than I expected. The turbo four and light steering made it surprisingly engaging to drive. I enjoyed how this one was trimmed out, and the cabin managed to be both woodsy and elegant. It also offered an excellent view of my surroundings, which is not a given for a beefy SUV. Style-wise, I don't love it. I think it looks better in pictures than in person. It seemed a little overwrought in my driveway. If you need a people hauler, and specifically, you need three rows, this one is worth a look. If you don't need three rows, I'd go with an Outback or Forester. That being said, this is the vehicle Subaru absolutely needs in order to have a more complete presence in the U.S. market. It's highly competitive with the VW Atlas, and it should add some solid incremental sales to Subaru's volume. Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski: I've logged more time in the Subaru Ascent than any other staffer here at Autoblog, having attending the automaker's initial drive event a few months ago and then signing a different one out to schlep my family on a couple of long drives in and around Seattle, Wash. Sometimes it takes a good, long drive to really figure out a car's merits and demerits. Other times, though, initial impressions are confirmed.
