Java Black Pearl 178K miles AWD 5spd transmission Great interior AC works great Factory in-dash 6 disk changer(changed since photo taken) Power windows new exhaust up-pipe and 3" downpipe STi VF39 Turbo Aluminum Turbo Inlet 800cc injectors Shifts and drives great Runs and turbo works perfectly 2.2L shortblock with 100K miles swapped in a few months ago. NEW timing belt, water pump, tensioners, all gaskets, cylinder heads checked, NEW head bolts, NEW STi 11mm oil pump, NEW Exedy clutch, rebuilt power steering pump. Basically swapped the shortblocks and replaced everything. However, has an odd missfire code P0000. Hence the low price. Some suggestions by prospective buyers have been a vacuum leak, bad injector…I haven't invested ing time into tracking it down. Still drive it, and drove it on a 2 hour round trip the other day with no problems. Idles a little rough. Currently set up for wastegate boost on turbo, has a lot more in it with a tune. Can include cable to tune via windows laptop. Also, can possibly include spare 2.0L shortblock and various parts. Few minor dings here and there, standard stuff from driving a car in the real world. Looking to make some changes in our vehicle lineup so this one needs to go! DE tagged until Jan 2014 |

Mark Higgins sets new Isle of Man record in Subaru STI
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Subaru has done it again, setting a new four-wheel lap record around the 37.75-mile TT Mountain Course at the Isle of Man. Mark Higgins in a 2015 WRX STI rocketed through the country roads at an average speed of 116.40 miles per hour to circle the track in 19 minutes, 26 seconds, thereby beating his previous record of 19 minutes 56.7 seconds from 2011 in an STI.
According to Subaru, speeds during the lap ranged from as little as 30 mph to over 160 mph. The STI was mostly stock with the only major mechanical change being different springs and dampers to handle the course's famous bumps at such sustained high speeds. For safety, it also had a rollcage, racing harness, and fire suppression system.
"It was quite a lap we did today and I am really happy to have another record in the bank. The chassis of the new car is so much better it really allowed me to pick up time in each sector in the more technical parts of the course," said Higgins about the run in the Subaru.
WA woman wins $90M Powerball, plans to buy Subaru Forester
Fri, Dec 5 2014This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Lisa Quam recently hit the Powerball jackpot to win $90 million. Like many folks lucky enough to win, Quam says one of her first stops will be a car dealer for a new set of wheels. Her first thought isn't to choose high luxury with a Bentley Mulsanne or Mercedes-Benz S-Class, though. Nope, she plans to buy herself a Subaru Forester, which is an eminently practical (if predictable) choice for someone residing in Washington state. Hopefully, Quam will decide to spend a few extra bucks for the turbocharged XT trim; she can definitely afford it. For our money, Quam's Subaru isn't nearly as cool of a choice as the guy who decided to buy himself an used Acura NSX from Craigslist with his $448 million Powerball jackpot last year. They're both keeping things modest with their newfound fortunes, though, and that strikes us as a smart move.
