This car is CLEAN (yes so is the title). It has 117XXX miles, and is currently my daily driver. I'm selling it because I'd like to buy a 2015 WRX and have some cash to put down.
The Good: This car is primarily all stock, the turbo pulls strong, clutch feels amazing, shifts smooth as butter and drives like a dream. This car puts down over 300 WHP and 330LBS torque with the bolt on mods and tune. It is a 5 speed, with cloth seats, the seats are clean with no tears at all. It is also wired for a sub and an amp, all you need to do is put them in and connect the speaker wire. HKS High power muffler Custom Tune AFE Cold air intake Aftermarket boost controller Downpipe (I still have the original cat for smog) Brand new 18x8.75 XXR 527's in gold wrapped with brand new Nitto all season rubber (not even 300 miles on these puppies). Cobb Shift knob Wingless trunk (no plugs, still have the original spoiler if you want it) Polyurethane front lip Pioneer Stereo w/ auxiliary input Brand new Mishimoto radiator (lifetime warranty) Just replaced the CV joints New brake rotors w/ new HAWK performance brake pads Just changed the oil at 117K w/ Motul full synthetic Cons: Valve cover is leaky and needs to be replaced, have a quote from a local reputable shop for $300. |

Ford tumbles to second worst in Consumer Reports reliability survey, list dominated by Japanese [w/video]
Mon, 29 Oct 2012It's no secret that MyFord Touch has had its share of problems since being introduced, but the most recent reliability survey from Consumer Reports shows just how much this infotainment system has affected Ford. Just two years ago, the automaker was in the top 10 for the institute's reliability rankings, but since then, it has tumbled to the second-lowest rung just above dead-last Jaguar. In addition to MyFord Touch, CR also attributes a handful of new products that have had issues right out of the gate.
Compiled from 1.2 million subscriber surveys, this year's auto reliability survey heavily favors Japanese automakers, with eight of the 10 spots hailing from Japan. Toyota brands grabbed the top three spots (Scion, Toyota and Lexus - in that order) with Mazda, Subaru, Honda and Acura filling the next four spots. The only non-Asian automaker cracking the top 10 was Audi at number eight.
Audi climbed a total of 18 spots from last year, and Cadillac and GMC round out this year's top gainers breaking into the top 15. Helping Cadillac's upward movement, the CTS Coupe was named the most reliable domestic car. Lincoln, Volvo and Chrysler join Ford on this year's biggest loser list.

2013 Subaru WRX Special Edition
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Two months ago, I was carving pumpkins in a canyon - last week, I was carving canyons in a pumpkin. I genuinely prefer the latter.
It's hard to miss the 2013 Subaru WRX Special Edition. The twins (the automaker is offering the package on both the WRX and its higher-performing STI sibling - just 300 copies in total) arrive in Tangerine Orange paint with Jet Black wheels, black exterior mirrors and black front fender badges. The purely cosmetic upgrades are carried inside the cabin with black cloth upholstery contrasted with orange stitching on the seats, doors, shift boot and piping on the floor mats.
After a day, I completely forgot about the controversial orange paint (you either love or hate its burnt pumpkin color) and focused on the simple joy of driving the rally-inspired Subaru WRX.
