I've decided to sell my baby to fund another project. It's a 2004 WRX.   I've had it since February of 2007, bone stock when I bought it. Shell has 111XXX miles, built transmission installed at 78k, built motor installed at 93k. Recently tuned at Snail Performance, Phoenix, AZ.  Made 341hp/293tq on pump gas at 18psi, can easily be over 400 with alcohol injection (or e85) and more boost. Alcohol injection is now installed, wasn't tuned with it.  Technician owned, extremely well cared for. Showroom clean inside and out.  Everything works, including A/C. Can be daily driven.  The big cams take away a lot of the low end torque, so taking off from a stop with the ac on is slower than stock.  No noticeable difference without ac on.  Factory wing and STI style wing included, currently wingless.  Paint was pulled off the trunk lid when the STI wing was removed.  The trunk was repaired and prepped for paint, carbon fiber vinyl wrap installed.  Never got around to getting it painted.  I am a master automotive technician and built most of this car myself.  I can answer any questions you have about it.

ENGINE:
Eagle rods
Cp pistons
Crower S4 cams 280/280
Brian Crower valve springs, retainers
FP Green turbo (49 lb/min version, non HTA)
ACL race bearings
830cc injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump
Open source tuned, UTEC installed for launch control and no-lift-shift
Alcohol injection system installed but was not tuned with it
Front mount inter cooler
Pro drive boost control solenoid
Vta blow off valve
I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of stuff

TRANSMISSION:
5 speed manual with Mfactory 1-4 gear set, built by DS1 Motorsports. Factory 5th for the freeway.
F1 stage 3 six puck clutch

MISC:
2 tone custom paint
Tein S Tech lowering springs
Color matched dash trim
Painted side skirts
Brand new tires
All fluids changed in the last year
Triple gauge pillar with oil pressure, boost, and wideband AFR from innovate LC-1
Led dome lights, license plate lights, front marker lights.
Blue Led cluster illumination and A/C control lights.

Oil pan leaks a bit, doesn't leave a puddle, but will leave a couple drops on the garage floor.  The front bumper has some rock chips from being driven on the freeway.  There are a couple small dings here and there, not many, and not bad.  Normal wear and tear.  Everything else is good, interior is nearly perfect.  Vehicle is for sale locally.  Right reserved to end auction early upon local sale.

2019 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid Drivers' Notes Review | A great, green Subaru with a price

    Thu, Jan 24 2019

When we had the opportunity to try the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid on the rocky, dusty trails above Santa Monica, it had us excited to try it on our crumbling Michigan roads. Luckily, the arrival of Subaru's first plug-in vehicle to the Autoblog office coincided with a powerful snowstorm followed by subzero temperatures, and then some serious freezing rain to cap off our week with it. Perfect Subaru weather. The new Crosstrek Hybrid may share a nameplate with the discontinued conventional hybrid, but this one features a plug-in hybrid powertrain borrowing technology from Toyota. It features two electric motors — one to propel the vehicle, the other acting as a starter/generator. Together with its 2.0-liter, four-cylinder boxer engine, this PHEV gets a combined 148 horsepower, and is actually a full second quicker from 0-60 than the ICE-only Crosstrek. With an 8.8-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, it offers a modest 17 miles of all-electric driving, but an overall range of 480 miles. Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore: This is a solid execution of the modern hybrid. The price is reasonable. The range (17 miles of EV travel) is usable. Go where you need to go. Charge up. You're good. It's attractive, inside and out. I love the Lagoon Blue Pearl paint. The cabin is comfortable and laid out nicely, and the blue stitching and pleasing leather elements dress things up. As expected, the Crosstrek is solid in the snow and ice. I had no trouble navigating the messy roads when much of the rest of the world was snowed in. The infotainment is smart. It's part of a $2,500 option that also adds the moonroof and heated steering wheel. It's worth it. I already like the Crosstrek. If it were my money, I'd go for hybrid variant. Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder: A night and a morning in the Crosstrek Hybrid on Michigan roads only confirms what I decided when I drove it in California two months ago: I dig this car. It's quiet, it's economical, it's capable, it's good-looking. There are only two downsides that I see. First is the cargo area behind the rear seats. It's pretty small. The battery pack raises the load floor a few inches above the bumper height. That doesn't seem like a lot, but when you realize how high it already is, taking out those few extra inches means it's not only harder to fit large items back there, it's harder to load and unload them at that height. 2015 Subaru Legacy is fresh-faced and more frugal

    Thu, 06 Feb 2014

While Subaru posted its best sales year ever in the United States in 2013, over half of its sales came from the success of the new Forester and popularity of the Outback. Its midsize Legacy sedan, on the other hand, saw sales tumble 10.3 percent. The company known for its all-wheel drive models hopes to right that trajectory with the 2015 Legacy. The all-new sedan sees a slight bump in fuel economy and a commitment to giving buyers a better product to compete against segment stalwarts like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.
The refreshed sedan wears Subaru's new design language, which was teased by the Legacy Concept at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. However, the production version takes the hard, crisp lines down several notches, and it is bordering on boring at first glance. The best detail of the new design is the new hexagonal shield grille at the front that lends a little upscale panache over the current car's simple, rectangular front end. The coupe-like roofline has also been toned down from the concept, but it does smooth out the rear better than the current gen.
The Legacy's engines are carried over almost identically from last year's car. However both flavors of manual transmission are finally bowing out; all models now come with Subaru's Lineartronic CVT. Output from the 2.5-liter boxer four-cylinder sees a slight bump to 175 horsepower (2 hp more than last year's model) and 174 pound-feet of torque. The 3.6-liter boxer six-cylinder is unchanged at 256 hp and 247 lb-ft. Fuel economy benefits from the new platform with the 2.5-liter model rated at an estimated 26/36/30 miles per gallon city/highway/combined, a boost of 2/4/3 mpg, respectively, over the previous generation. The 3.6-liter also sees a modest rise to 20/28/23 mpg, 2/3/3 mpg better respectively. Fairly impressive figures for an all-wheel-drive, midsize sedan.

You can almost make out the shape of the new Subaru Crosstrek

    Mon, Jan 23 2017

Subaru released a shadowy teaser of the redesigned XV hatchback which will debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show. The car will be called the Crosstrek in the United States. We can't see much from this dark image, but it looks like the sides have more creases and definition than the current model, which has been on sale since 2013 with only minor changes. Subaru showed the XV concept at Geneva last year with wild wheels, sharp headlights, severe side cuts, and prominent off-road-style body cladding. Naturally, we expect a more toned-down version in production trim. Subaru confirmed the new vehicle will offer its Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive system (we'd be stunned if it didn't). The Crosstrek will also employ Subaru's new Global Platform, which is more rigid and has a lower center of gravity. These modular underpinnings will be used on all of its next-generation models and debuted on the Impreza. The Crosstreck was called the Crosstrek XV in the US market for several years and also offered a hybrid version, which was dropped. Crosstrek sales in the US increased 7.6 percent last year to 95,677 units, placing it third behind the Outback and Forester in Subaru's portfolio. Related Video:
